Chapter 1005: Xiongguan towering

With King Varian's grant, Candle Garg racked his brains and compiled a press release about King Varian's heroic killing of enemies.

In this fictional article, Varian is portrayed as a fearsome warrior.

With a single jump, he climbed up the city wall several hundred meters high, killed dozens of natural disaster generals and hundreds of thousands of natural disaster soldiers, and successfully retreated.

But Varian was not satisfied with the false glory. He sent scouts to explore around, trying to find a way to bypass the Wrath Gate and attack Icecrown Citadel directly.

Unfortunately, there are continuous snowy mountains on both sides of the Gate of Scourge. Low temperature and severe cold are the most terrifying enemies. Hundreds of scouts were lost in succession, and a suitable path was still not found.

Varian was helpless and could only stay in Fordragon Fortress. As days passed, 20,000 soldiers from the Alliance and 50,000 troops from the Horde arrived one after another.

The Alliance and the Horde finally united to fight against the "evil" Scourge.

Thrall, the savior, delivered an important speech and successfully boosted morale.

The 30,000 orc soldiers led by Garrosh are the strongest force in the coalition.

Although Varian leads an Alliance army of 50,000, which gives him a numerical advantage, unfortunately, morale is low, and there are 20,000 poorly trained civilian men and female soldiers, so the overall strength is not sufficient.

After being brutally tortured by the gods in Dalaran, Garrosh did not dare to use Alliance soldiers as military rations, but he still found an opportunity to laugh at him:

"King Varian, what makes you so confused? It's just the Duke of Bolvar. Look how I can easily eliminate him."

Varian said coldly: "When you see the Gate of Scourge, you won't say that."

Garrosh laughed loudly: "Stupid and ridiculous humans are indestructible. So what can a city wall hundreds of meters high? I have a way to make Duke Bolvar lose his advantage."

Varian did not believe that the orcs could do better than the human soldiers and said coldly:

"What I want to see is not exaggerated and fictitious press releases, but real heroic killings of enemies. You can deceive the humble people, but you can't deceive me."

Garrosh looked ferocious and said with confidence: "Varian, I will soon convince you. The warriors of the Horde will overcome all difficulties."

Early the next morning, the loud sound of war drums sounded.

Garrosh commanded 30,000 orc soldiers and began the attack on the Wrath Gate.

The suspicious King Varian discovered that behind the 30,000 orc soldiers, there was a group of humans and high elves in robes, holding staffs, each with strong magic power.

It turned out to be a Dalaran mage, led by Luo Ning himself.

Varian finally understood where Garrosh's confidence lies.

Dalaran exists in a neutral position. Although it enjoys taxes from the Alliance, the leaders of the Alliance cannot order them and serve the Horde privately.

Varian hated it so much that he had no choice but to do anything.

But even so, Garrosh was still dissatisfied and yelled at Ronin:

"Luoning, you promised me that Dalaran would become a transport ship for the orcs, carrying them to the Gate of Scourge. Why did you only send a few hundred mages?"

Facing the ferocious Garrosh, Ronin shivered with fear and explained in a low voice:

"General, please calm down. We sensed a terrible source of magic power near the Gate of Scourge. We suspect it belongs to the Scourge. If Dalaran approaches rashly, it is likely to suffer a devastating blow."

Garrosh approached Ronin, showed his sharp teeth, and roared with his stench:

"What a hypocritical excuse. Are you bullying me because I don't know magic? Are you afraid that I will eat you? Your wife and children will not be able to escape. I will tear them apart cruelly."

Luo Ning was so frightened that he almost opened the portal and escaped.

Thrall stood up and shouted: "Let go of Ronin, Garrosh, you have gone too far."

It was a rare sight that Thrall actually stood up for Ronin. Garrosh turned his head, looked directly into Thrall's eyes, and said with a ferocious smile:

"Hey, Chief, you actually believe in hypocritical humans?"

Sal said matter-of-factly and confidently:

"The elements tell me that the source of magic is real. Although the Scourge cannot use it, once Dalaran gets close, it will cause big trouble and we may all die."

Garrosh waved his arms angrily and threatened: "Very well, Thrall, I believe you for the time being. If I find out that you are deceiving me in the future, you will all die."

After Garrosh left, Vol'jin lowered his voice and asked Thrall:

"The great savior, does the source of magic really exist?"

Thrall showed a cold smile and whispered: "Of course it exists, and I know more than Ronin. It is clearly the familiar power of the Burning Legion."

"Burning Legion?" Vol'jin was stunned after hearing this.

Sal said mysteriously:

"There must be a terrible conspiracy hidden in the Gate of Scourge. Vol'jin, you have to make plans early and find an opportunity for the Silver Crusade to withdraw. This is our perfect chance to make a comeback. Garrosh, Dranosh, Varian

, let’s all die, I’ve had enough of them a long time ago.”

The hundreds of mages brought by Luo Ning cultivated a huge teleportation circle, which could teleport 500 orcs to the city wall at one time.

After each transmission, it takes half an hour to recharge.

As a result, the several hundred meters high city wall of the Gate of Scourge immediately became like walking on the ground.

Garrosh believed that his soldiers could hold back several times the number of Alliance soldiers if a close battle started on the city wall.

As long as two thousand orcs are successfully teleported, Duke Bolvar will be defeated.

The first batch of soldiers teleported up the city wall were the most important. Garrosh personally selected five hundred elite soldiers and proudly said to King Varian:

"I heard that Bolvar's men are all the royal guards of Stormwind City. How long can the best of the best stand up to the brave orcs?"

King Varian looked gloomy. With the help of the Dalaran mage, Bolvar could not survive for long. Years of experience have proven that close combat with the orcs is not a wise choice.

Countless lights flickered from the teleportation circle, and five hundred elite orcs were well fed, each full of energy, wearing thick metal armor, and holding terrifying battle axes.

Hundreds of Dalaran mages cast spells together, and a bright spot of light fell on the high city wall, which was a weakly defended spot with only a few dozen soldiers nearby.

The walls of the Gate of Scourge are too long. Duke Bolvar only has 3,000 soldiers, so the defense forces allocated to each location are seriously insufficient.

The light flickered, and the five hundred orc soldiers in the center of the array disappeared and appeared in the light spot on the city wall.

Facing the orc soldiers who appeared out of thin air, the alliance soldiers did not panic at all. They drew special weapons, which were very similar to dwarf guns.

But what came out was a terrifying breath of ice.

Dozens of ice breaths intertwined together, and five hundred orc soldiers were frozen into ice cubes before they could wake up from the dizziness caused by the teleportation.

Logistics personnel quickly climbed onto the city wall, broke the ice, and carried the frozen orc soldiers down in an orderly manner. Peace returned to the city wall.

As if nothing happened, the soldiers continued patrolling.

Garrosh was dumbfounded. After a long while, he became furious and grabbed Ronin's collar:

"Tell me, Luo Ning, what happened?"
