Chapter 1166: Hesitation

Rebellion is not an easy thing, especially against a loving father. It is difficult for Prince Liam to overcome this hurdle in his heart.

But when he thought of the tragic fate he was about to face, Prince Liam could only make up his mind.

The rebellion broke out late one night. Godfrey teamed up with two other lords and led their respective soldiers to surround the camps of Greymane and Darius.

Liam didn't want to hurt innocent soldiers, so he didn't launch a direct attack. This gave the soldiers in the encirclement time to prepare. They put on their armor and picked up weapons.

A war is about to break out at any time.

Liam sent negotiators to ask Greymane to give up the throne.

Greymane woke up from his sleep and saw Darius running over in a panic, shouting: "Your Majesty, it's not good, it's not good, Liam has raised an army and rebelled."

"What?"

Greymane was taken aback, but immediately calmed down and said with a relieved smile: "It seems that Liam already knows. Yes, I am very happy to know how to fight with troops!"

Darius saw the king's expression and knew something was wrong.

If Greymane surrenders, Prince Liam will probably think of the father-son relationship and will not do anything to King Greymane.

But Darius is in danger and will most likely be executed.

Greymane can surrender, but Darius absolutely cannot.

Darius rolled his eyes and whispered:

"Your Majesty, His Majesty the Prince's move is really destroying Gilneas. Even if he is lucky enough to win, how can Jaina and Thrall give up? The Alliance and the Horde will definitely raise their troops to attack us, and Gilneas will be destroyed from now on."

Greymane lowered his head and thought for a moment. This was indeed the truth. For the sake of the royal family inheritance of Gilneas, Greymane must persevere and never surrender.

Wearing his armor and picking up his weapon, Greymane came outside the tent and saw the rebels surrounding them like iron barrels. Greymane looked solemn and said to the panicked Darius:

"Be patient, Berisha is coming back soon, and she will definitely bring us hope. Now we have no choice but to wait."

Darius knew Beretha. When King Greymane suffered from the werewolf curse and fell into madness, a night elf woman suddenly appeared and used magical herbs to cure Greymane.

This mysterious woman is Belyssa, claiming to be sent by Malfurion to represent the friendship of the night elves.

Looking at the bustling rebels outside, Darius felt despair in his heart. He did not believe that Berisha could bring reinforcements.

Unfortunately, Darius has no choice but to negotiate with Prince Liam and try to delay as much time as possible, waiting for a miracle to happen.

Gilneas Royal City, Cathedral of the Holy Light and Dawn.

Taking advantage of the darkness, a night elf woman sneaked in, followed by a ghost wolf. The church was empty and quiet, and the gatekeeper slept like a dead pig.

The woman saw the Luna Scythe on the altar at a glance, and felt secretly happy. She quietly walked forward, pulled out the Luna Sickle, held it in her hand, and left quickly with the ghost wolf.

After escaping to a safe place, the woman took a deep breath and chuckled: "They say that the Bloodfang werewolves are cruel and the Wolf Cult is heavily guarded, but we easily stole the Luna Scythe."

The ghost wolf replied in a low voice: "After all, they are a group of savage werewolves. I killed Lalar here last time."

The woman waved the Luna Scythe and said slightly proudly: "With this treasure, we can also have a large number of werewolf warriors. Go back, Greymane is waiting for us."

The ghost wolf whispered in a low voice: "I don't know what Malfurion's purpose is. Are a group of humble humans worthy of such care?"

The two figures disappeared into the night. Robbie looked at the complicated-looking alpha wolf Lelar and asked curiously: "Are you really willing to let them go?"

The night elf woman was Beretha Starwind. Lilar looked at her back reluctantly, nodded and said: "After all, we are old friends from the past. Although they are unkind to me, I cannot be unjust to them."

."

The Scythe of the Moon that the woman took away was just a replica. Although it could keep the werewolf awake, its combat effectiveness was not as good as the Bloodfang werewolf of Gilneas.

Robbie's tacit permission for Beretha to steal the Scythe of the Moon had another hidden meaning, to explore the true purpose behind Malfurion and Tyrande.

The night elves were willing to take in the fleeing Gilneans, but Robbie always felt that the matter was not that simple.

As soon as the negotiations began, Prince Liam, who did not want to escalate the matter, was at a disadvantage.

The wily Darius first impressed the prince with his father-son affection and told how King Greymane cared about the prince, which deeply moved Prince Liam.

After being reminded by Lord Godfrey, Prince Liam finally realized his purpose and forced the other party to surrender immediately.

Darius agreed immediately, but struggled with the details.

Negotiations between the two parties lasted for three full days without any progress.

Darius talked about family ties for a while, said that His Majesty the King was helpless for a while, and reasoned with Prince Liam for a while.

Lord Godfrey saw the problem and said to the prince privately:

"Your Highness, please launch an attack immediately. Darius is obviously stalling for time."

Prince Liam lowered his head and thought for a while: "Impossible. Our spies in Darnassus reported that the night elves have no military operations. Besides the night elves, who else can be my father's reinforcements, Lord Godfrey?"

, you must be worrying too much."

Godfrey said sincerely: "Your Highness, this matter is of great importance and must not be delayed. Unexpected changes may occur at any time. Please make up your mind immediately."

Prince Liam waved his arms and shouted sadly:

"Do you want to see me raise a butcher's knife against my father? I am not that vicious woman Jaina. Lord, please stop trying to persuade me. I insist on using a peaceful way to resolve this matter."

Godfrey shook his head in disappointment: "Your Highness, you will definitely regret it."

Beretha brought back the Scythe of the Moon, and Greymane stared at this artifact, feeling the extraordinary power within it. The roiling werewolf power in his body gradually subsided, and he felt calm and happy.

"It's such a good treasure." King Greymane said with a little regret: "Why haven't I obtained this treasure long ago? Thank you for your hard work, Berisha."

Berisha said calmly: "Your Majesty the King, although I have brought back the Luna Scythe, it will not affect your decision. How to use it is up to you."

Greymane stroked his gray beard and said without hesitation:

"Of course, to build a powerful werewolf army, the great savior Thrall, and Queen Jaina of Theramore. They must be impatient to wait."

Prince Liam heard countless wolf howls in his sleep. The prince was frightened and hurriedly got up. The sound came from the direction of Greymane's palace guards in the encirclement.

Lord Godfrey put his hand on Liam's shoulder and said with a sad smile: "Your Highness, your soft-heartedness led to tonight's failure. Look what's over there? We're finished."

Under the cover of night, a large group of strong werewolves pounced on the prince's army.
