Chapter 1929: Endless grievances

In the dark and narrow secret passage, the lich Hercula walked quickly like a ghost, and Thrall followed behind, panting.

There were sharp stones everywhere on the ground, and the walls were covered with thorny vines. Sal's shoes had escaped, his feet were dripping with blood, and his body was covered with scratches.

He didn't know how long he had been running, but Sal only felt dizzy and stars were popping up in front of his eyes.

Hercula finally stopped and climbed out of the secret passage along the ladder.

This is a small village near Nanhai Town. The quiet village is like a creeping beast, and the stars are shining all over the sky.

"It's okay, we escaped."

Hercula was beaming with joy and helped Sal who was almost collapsed.

"No matter how brilliant the magic is, it can't compare to the simplest secret passage."

Sal was too tired to speak and lay straight on the ground.

"Sal, you can't rest, we are not out of danger yet."

Hercula opened a portal, grabbed Thrall without any explanation, and entered the portal.

Sal felt in a daze and looked up at the stars in the sky. It took him a long time to regain his strength.

Surrounded by ruins, only rubble remains of the former tall palace, telling the story of its past glory.

"What is this place?" Thrall asked weakly.

Hercula sat on the stone and said with emotion: "This is my hometown, the capital of the Kingdom of Alterac."

"What, your hometown?" Sal looked surprised.

Hercula turned her head and said sadly:

"I was born into the royal family of Alterac...forget it, it's all over, these are all monsters."

"You hate orcs?" Thrall asked.

Hercula's eyes turned cold and said coldly: "I hate the orcs, but I hate King Terenas even more. When the orcs were at their peak, all the seven human kingdoms, including Lordaeron, were in secret with the orcs.

All in all, but only we in Alterac were punished."

Sal also sat on a stone and remained silent.

Hercula's voice trembled: "My master wanted to kill all the orcs. I strongly opposed it, just to let Terenas taste the bitter pill of the orcs. Haha, I got what I wanted. Lordaeron is finished.

Terenas became the Lich King, now it's the orcs' turn."

Sal rubbed his nose and said reluctantly: "Hate will never end. What you need is to let go."

"lay down?"

Hercula asked: "When will the orcs stop eating people?"

"That's the nature of the orcs." Thrall shook his head: "It's unfair to change the nature of a race."

"Don't preach to me, Thrall, remember, without the help of our masters and disciples, you will be struggling in the Eastern Kingdom."

Hercula walked through the rubble. Thrall hesitated for a moment and could only follow behind.

In front of a broken stone monument, Hercula stopped and activated a mechanism under the stone monument.

The entrance to the secret passage appeared under the stone monument. Hercula leaned forward and got in, followed closely by Thrall.

"This is the headquarters of the Royal Magic Association of the Kingdom of Alterac, an institution that studies secret magic. As long as we are given some more time, we can surpass Dalaran."

This magical holy place built underground has become a ruin. The tall stone pillars are tilted. There are traces of raging magic everywhere, and there is a faint smell of evil energy.

"In order to capture the headquarters of the Royal Magical Society, Medivh summoned the demons of the Burning Legion."

Hercula's eyes were cold and he skillfully walked through the gaps:

"Medivh was smart all his life, but unfortunately he ignored the most important thing."

It was like walking through a maze, Thrall could no longer remember where he came from.

Hercula stopped in front of a demon statue. The statue had double horns on its head and a pair of huge black membrane wings on its back.

"The statue of Sargeras." Hercula chuckled and said: "When we learned that the Burning Legion had invaded, we hid the most important things in the statue of Sargeras. Sure enough, these demons stayed away from each other, and Maddie

Wen didn’t dare to get close.”

"What's hidden inside?" Thrall asked.

Hercula said mysteriously: "A source of magic similar to the Well of the Sun."

"What?" Sal was shocked.

The Sunwell is very important to the High Elves, and it can be said to be the guarantee for them to gain a foothold in the Eastern Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Alterac actually hid such an important treasure. No wonder it was hated by others and faced the disaster of national subjugation.

Hercula knelt in front of the statue of Sargeras and prayed devoutly:

"The Supreme Being, an existence older than time, please give me guidance so that the lost people can find the way to the future."

Rumble.

A gust of wind and thunder came from the ground, and the dilapidated underground ruins continued to shake.

Hercula stood up suddenly: "No, it's Medivh."

"Medivh?" Thrall was trembling with fear and asked with a cry: "Didn't you say we are safe?"

Hercula looked panicked: "It's impossible for Medivh to find this place unless he tracks one of us."

Sal said aggrievedly: "It can't be me."

Hercula's eyes were like lightning, scanning Sal's whole body, and took off a button from his underwear.

"Sal, I remember telling you to burn all your clothes. Why is this button left?"

Sal blinked and defended: "I burned all my clothes, but I was a little cold at the time, so I kept this shirt."

Hercula sighed and crushed the button, revealing an exquisite rune.

"It's what attracted Medivh, and we were followed."

Thrall's eyes widened: "What should I do? By the way, Hercula, I heard that you once escaped from Medivh."

Hercula took out a beacon and crushed it, smiling bitterly: "Thall, do you want to know how I escaped from Medivh?"

Before Sal could react, Hercula took Sal's hand and walked quickly through the ruins.

"Medivh doesn't know our specific location yet. We need to use detection magic to scan the entire ruins, but Medivh has a weakness. He has mysophobia."

"Mysophobia?"

Thrall recalled Medivh's daily life and nodded in approval.

"Medivh hates humans, especially feces. Medivh himself is half a lich and does not have the function of excretion."

As Hercula said this, she pulled Sal and jumped into a deep pit.

The unbearable stench hit their faces, and the two fell into the cesspool.

"Medivh's detection magic will definitely avoid the cesspit. This is our only hope for survival."

Hercula already had the body of a lich and was indifferent to the cesspit, so he naturally got into it.

Thrall was so dizzy from the smoke that he didn't dare to show his head, so he could only bless himself with underwater breathing.

In the cesspool, Hercula's weak voice reached Thrall's ears:

"Last time, I hid in a manure pit and escaped Medivh's pursuit. I always felt very dirty, so I gave up my flesh and blood and became a lich."

Sal cried aggrievedly: "I have enjoyed glory and wealth in my life, and I have also endured a lot of hardships, including being broken into pieces, but I have never been so aggrieved."

Hercula laughed: "Thall, this is just the beginning. From now on, I will live like a maggot beside a cesspit, avoiding Medivh's pursuit at any time."

"I've had enough, I really have had enough."

Suddenly, another huge force came, and a great mage who was as good as Medivh was approaching.

Helkula said in surprise: "My mentor Kel'Thuzad received the signal and came. Great, we are safe."
