Chapter eight hundred and eighty: Merry's performance

Jaina looked at Master Merry quietly.

Merry's answer was both unexpected and expected.

A monster that has lived for three thousand years has to go through so many ups and downs, generations of changes, conspiracies and betrayals. If it were not for the kind of shrewd person who was able to maneuver both sides and deal with things smoothly, he would have been eaten up to the point where no bones were left.

Azeroth has very low moral requirements for the upper class. With identities like Medivh and Thrall, colluding with the Old Gods or the Burning Legion is nothing.

If it were an ordinary civilian or soldier, it would undoubtedly be a capital crime.

Merry said ostentatiously: "The Sixth Ancient God has great trust in me. I am his most reliable messenger. Of course, the container is prepared for the god."

Jaina took a deep breath and asked, "Who is the Sixth Ancient God?"

Merry chuckled and replied unceremoniously: "Didn't Antonidas teach you to be polite? You must maintain a minimum of respect for a god."

Obviously, Master Merry felt that he had explained enough and did not want to continue talking. Jaina's face was stern, and there was a strong look of threat in her eyebrows:

"Merry, you should understand that the Titans of the Pantheon have fallen, Azeroth is destined to be occupied by the Burning Legion, and the Legion will carve up the world together with the moon god Elune, and all those who resist will be crushed by this rolling force.

"

Meri stared at Jaina and sneered. Suddenly, her body shook, and a terrifying power of darkness erupted. This is a mysterious power. For a moment, Jaina seemed to be in an endless void, endless loneliness and fear.

Well up in my heart.

"The power of the void!"

Jaina's voice was full of fear: "It turns out that you have already taken refuge in the void."

Merry chuckled: "The Sixth Ancient God is the direct disciple of the Lord of the Void, and the other five are just his servants. Because of my dedicated service, I received gifts from the Void. In front of the great Lord of the Void, the Burning Legion

It's just a group of bugs, Jaina, how can the Burning Legion you rely on fight against the endless power of the void."

Facing such a terrifying power, Jaina was both afraid and envious. Master Merry's fear made her feel like she was sitting on a pincushion and felt uncomfortable all over. She heard Merry ask again:

"Jaina, you are a disciple of Antonidas. With your experience, you should understand what the greatest needs of mankind are."

Jaina thought for a moment, then forced out the answer through her teeth: "Alive!"

Meili nodded and said boldly:

"In the past three thousand years, I have seen countless influential people. They have been in power and enjoyed all the glory and wealth in the world. Unfortunately, life is short and they have to turn into a pile of dust. Since they become undead like me, they can live forever.

,Why didn’t they choose my path?”

Jaina was stunned. The pursuit of immortality was the dream of all emperors. The example of immortality was right in front of them. Why didn't those emperors take this path?

Meili sneered and said, "Because I will kill everyone who sets foot on my path."

"What?"

Jaina was startled and looked at Meri dumbfounded.

Merry said with an indifferent expression: "Gianna, you are very lucky. You have been exposed to the world's top power at such a young age. Your future is limitless. When your youth is exhausted, you are getting old, and your energy is fading, if you want to be forever

To live, you must get my permission."

This is already a naked threat.

Merry, who received the gift from the void, undoubtedly possesses the best power in the world. Jaina is not sure that she can defeat him, and she may not be able to catch up in her lifetime.

Jaina was in a state of shock and just wanted to escape from here as soon as possible.

Merry suddenly laughed: "The gods are not afraid of mortal curiosity. In front of the gods, we are just ants. Even if we know the true face of the gods, what will happen? Jaina, don't you want to know the whereabouts of the sixth ancient god?

"

Jaina was stunned by this twist and turn, and looked at Meri in confusion.

Merry said with awe: "Years ago, I once accepted a task to serve a child into the Kingdom of Lordaeron and hand him over to King Terenas."

"The Lich King Arthas, the sixth ancient god?" Jaina was secretly surprised.

Meri chuckled:

"You underestimate a god. How could the Sixth Ancient God stand in front of the stage? The real god must be hiding behind the scenes and controlling everything. Arthas is just a pawn of his. In order to deceive others, Terena

The king of Sri Lanka gave the boy to the groom to be raised."

Jaina suddenly remembered some past events. When she was in Kul Tiras, she had heard rumors about the royal family of Lordaeron. It was said that Arthas liked to play with the son of a groom when he was a child, and was treated as a laughing stock by the upper class society.

You must know that in a hierarchical human society, a prince must keep a distance from the groom's son. Even if Alsace is young and doesn't understand, the adults will not sit idly by.

If the groom's son is the sixth ancient god, then everything makes sense.

"Master Merry."

Jaina's tone was much more respectful: "I also want to ask about the whereabouts of the Luna Scythe."

Meili snorted coldly and replied:

"It's okay to tell you that the Scythe of the Moon is now kept in the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind City. I deliberately handed the Scythe of the Moon into the hands of Revilcost, the priest of the Church of the Holy Light."

Archbishop Benedictus hated Gianna deeply, and the Cathedral of Light was undoubtedly a restricted area. He never expected that the answer he was searching for would be like this.

The extremely disappointed Jaina asked with a grimace: "Why did you give the Luna Scythe to the Cathedral of Light?"

Meri replied in awe: "Everything is God's will."

After learning the truth, Jaina slumped in her chair helplessly. Suffering such a failure made her spirit collapse, and the fatigue of the past few days flooded into her heart.

Meri looked at the decadent Jaina and said expressionlessly:

"For the sake of my old friend Aegwynn, I will teach you a way to resurrect the king. First, use necromancy to summon his soul to become an undead, and then use the power of the ancient gods to pollute his body and transform into a faceless man.

The Faceless Men are best at disguise, and there is no problem entering the Cathedral of Light to pray."

After hearing this, Jaina felt happy, as if she had come back to life again. She was worthy of being an old monster who had lived for three thousand years, but there was a way.

Respectfully thanking Merry, Jaina left Dongfeng Academy happily.

After Jaina left, Merry slumped in a chair. Undead people don't sweat, but he clearly felt wet with sweat. After experiencing extreme tension and excitement, he relaxed all of a sudden. Merry felt like he was surviving a disaster.

Feel.

Robbie came out from behind the screen, clapped his hands and praised: "Your performance is very good."

Jaina looked helpless and smiled bitterly:

"Why do you want to involve me in this matter? Damn it. If I don't answer according to the script you prepared, Jaina will tear me to pieces."

If there is anyone in Azeroth who can deceive Jaina, Merry is one of the few. Of course, Robbie's secret cooperation is also required, otherwise the fear of the power of the void cannot be created.

When Robbie entered Winter Wind Academy and explained his purpose to Merry, Merry knew that he had no choice. Jaina was not an easy person to talk to, and Merry could not prove his innocence.

"At least you have raised a level in Gianna's heart. She is full of awe of you. This is a win-win situation for us." Robbie said with a smile.
