Chapter 891: Carve up the Kingdom of Stormwind

"Since King Varian does not cherish his people so much, the loss of Ironforge must be recovered from House Wrynn."

Magni Bronzebeard secretly made up his mind. If Varian regained the throne and the Kingdom of Stormwind joined the Horde, it would be completely eaten by the orcs in less than five years.

Instead of taking advantage of the orcs, Bronzebeard also wanted to get a piece of the pie.

Looking at Tirion Fordring on the side, he saw Fording on the horse looking dignified and upright. Bronzebeard guessed that this cunning guy had the same purpose.

The three of them rushed directly to Stormwind Fortress, the residence of King Varian.

Varian no longer trusts the Royal Guards, and the Stormwind City Defense Force protects his safety, with Supreme Commander Marcus Jonathan personally guarding him.

The situation was critical, and Varian was in a very bad mood, pacing back and forth in the room.

Seeing Jaina and the others walking in, Varian turned from worry to joy: "Jaina, it's great that you can come. That lowly Night Watchman has entered Stormwind City."

Several people met one by one, and the guests and hosts were seated. Varian dismissed the guards and servants, and said worriedly: "After the letter to the savior Thrall was sent, I didn't sleep well for many days. I saw the three distinguished guests.

Your visit finally made me feel relieved."

Jaina first cast a magic barrier in the room and asked solemnly: "Varian, are you really ready to let the Kingdom of Stormwind join the Horde?"

Varian has not forgotten how Jaina betrayed him in Vol'Gul Ogre Mountain, and then watched helplessly as he was torn into pieces by orcs and eaten.

However, there is no eternal hatred among the royal family. Varian knew that he could only rely on Jaina for now and said solemnly:

"Yes, everything I did was to save Azeroth. Now the Lich King Arthas is the biggest enemy. The only way out is for the Alliance and the Horde to put aside their prejudices and join hands to fight against the Scourge.

I just set an example."

"Well said."

Fording looked upright and said loudly:

"At the Holy Light's Hope Chapel, I fought directly with the Lich King Arthas and used the Holy Light to spy on the evil in his heart. I saw mountains of corpses and seas of blood. Azeroth was devastated and all living things were destroyed.

Only natural disasters spread across the earth."

After saying that, Fording barely squeezed out a few tears, with a look of mourning on his face.

King Bronzebeard, Jaina, and Varian looked sad at the same time.

"In order to save the world of Azeroth, I decided to give up this body, expedition to Northrend, and crusade against the Scourge." Fording waved his arms vigorously:

"I swear on my remaining lifespan that I will never withdraw from Northrend until the natural disasters are over."

"Good." King Varian praised: "As a veteran of the Knights of the Silver Hand and a symbol of the Holy Light, Fording, you have won my respect."

Fording smiled slightly: "Your Majesty the King, in order to expedition to Northrend, I need some support from the Kingdom of Stormwind." After that, he handed over a list.

The list listed a series of military materials, including weapons and armor, food and baggage, siege equipment, magic scrolls, etc. For the steam tanks alone, Fording ordered 5,000 of them.

Varian frowned fiercely after reading it. This list was enough to arm an army of half a million men. The entire alliance did not have so many troops.

Fording looked at King Varian coldly: "If you have difficulties, you can pay in installments, but it must be paid off within five years. You can use gold coins, jewelry, beautiful women, etc. to offset the debt."

Varian thought for a while, waved his hand, and said boldly: "No problem, this is the price that must be paid for Azeroth."

Bronzebeard glanced at the contents on the list and became more confident. In order to return to the throne, Varian had already ignored everything and sneered:

"Ironforge and Stormwind City are close allies. The dwarves have reached an alliance with humans a long time ago. If Stormwind City joins the tribe, Ironforge will inevitably suffer losses. We dwarves have the backbone.

I can’t get along with the dirty beasts.”

What does Bronzebeard mean?

Jaina looked confused, and Fording also looked puzzled. Varian knew that he had to win over King Bronzebeard, and hurriedly defended: "The orcs are the saviors who can save Azeroth."

Bronzebeard narrowed his eyes and mocked: "The seven human kingdoms, except for Kul Tiras, including Lordaeron, have all been occupied by orcs. Our Ironforge has never been conquered by orcs. I have never been able to figure it out.

What qualifications do humans have to serve as the leader of the Alliance?"

Faced with Bronzebeard's sarcasm, Varian didn't know how to defend himself, so he asked directly:

"Bronzebeard, what do you want?"

Magni Bronzebeard glanced at Fording and said loudly:

"I am different from this hypocritical liar. I don't want any grass or trees in the Kingdom of Stormwind. I only want a few shares of the Wrynn family."

"Share?"

Jaina and Fording were both confused. Varian shook his head and laughed at himself:

"In the past few years when I was away, the Black Dragon Princess suppressed the Wrynn family and lost most of the family property. I really can't get much money out of it, let alone any shares."

Bronzebeard smiled slightly:

"What I want is the Wrynn family's shares in the venture capital company."

Varian's face turned horribly pale, and after a long while he said, "How did you know?"

In the world of Azeroth, the Venture Capital Corporation is an evil organization that only pursues profit. Although it is suppressed by the Alliance and the Horde, it is as tenacious as a mantis.

If you say that there is no support behind this organization, absolutely no one will believe it.

Bronzebeard sneered: "I know more than that. In addition to this investment, the Wrynn family's properties are spread across various industries in Azeroth. The reason why you want to return to the throne at all costs is because you want to take advantage of the royal power.

Get these shares back."

Such a huge fortune, without the support of the royal power, the venture capital company would never acknowledge it. Jaina was surprised when she heard this, and realized that she had underestimated Varian all along.

Varian closed his eyes and said dejectedly: "Bronzebeard, you know too much. This is not good for you. Do you know how many shares the venture capital company has? That is equivalent to fifty years of tax revenue from the Kingdom of Stormwind.

The sum total is the accumulation of several generations of our Wrynn family.”

"If you were not the king, you wouldn't be able to get a single copper back." Bronzebeard said coldly.

"Okay, okay, that's it for you." Varian yelled angrily.

The people present did not know that Jaina's magic barrier did not work, and the contents of several people's conversations were overheard.

Benedictus nodded to the black-robed mage beside him:

"Great Mage Arugao, thank you for your hard work."

Arugal explained kindly: "Jaina masters elemental spells, which are different from my spells. Her magic barrier cannot affect me. It is my honor to be able to serve Stormwind City before going into seclusion."

Afterwards, Arugao left the room, and Benedictus looked at Duke Bolvar: "Do you know the existence of this investment?"

Duke Bolvar shook his head and said: "I only know that a huge amount of tax money goes unaccounted for in the kingdom every year. I once asked Varian, and he said it was for the purpose of exterminating the orcs."
