Chapter 103 The Power of the Heart

The incident in Zhou County was over, Wu Bo also died at the hands of Fei Zhan, and Li Mu had a rare moment of peace and quiet.

In the past few months, Yangqiu County cases have come one after another, and it is rare to have such leisure time.

While there was nothing to do, Li Mu could just calm down and think about his own practice.

In ancient times, humans began to practice Buddhism. The birth of Taoism was only a thousand years ago. Before Taoism, there were many methods of practice, which can be described as diverse. Today, there are many methods of practice besides Buddhism and Taoism.

However, Taoist magical powers and techniques are mysterious and unpredictable, and are recognized by the spiritual practice community. Other spiritual techniques, as time goes by, are gradually eliminated or become a niche.

The foundation of Taoist practice is to control one's own body, hence the concepts of soul refining and soul condensation.

The order of soul refining and soul condensation can be reversed, or even skipping soul refining and directly condensing the soul is not a bad idea.

The purpose of soul refining is to better control the body. In the process of soul refining, the mana will also increase by seven leaps, which is equivalent to a month or even several months of guiding and refining qi. Therefore, few practitioners skip this step.

step.

But normal people like Li Mu and Liu Hanyan are different.

They already have souls in their bodies, and they can just refine them directly. Li Mu's souls are scattered and need to be condensed again. The condensation of the first four souls is already extremely difficult. The last three souls must be born from evil feelings, love and lust.

It is much more difficult than normal people to refine their souls.

These last three souls need to be considered in the long run. Li Mu can choose to concentrate his soul first, and then make up for these three souls when the time is right.

But as a result, before he completely perfects the Seven Souls, his path of cultivation will always have flaws, and his magic power will not be as deep as those who normally refine the Seven Souls.

However, there was nothing that could be done about it. After careful consideration, Li Mu decided to start practicing later.

Soul condensation is similar to soul refining. It is a process of gradually refining one's three souls. When all three souls are refined, you can try to fuse them and turn them into Yuanshen to attack the God Gathering Realm.

Li Mu opened the Taoist book in his hand and found on the second page the methods and formulas for condensing the soul.

"On the third day of the month, the thirteenth day, and the evening of the twenty-third day, it is at this time that the three souls are uncertain, the refreshing spirit floats, the fetal light is released, and the ghost spirit is calling..."

"Taiwei Xuan Palace, the faint yellow and green, the three souls are refined within, the fetal light is peaceful, the divine treasure jade chamber, was born with me, please don't move rashly..."

The best time to refine the seven souls is on the first day of the month, the first day of the month, and the eve of the twilight. The best time to refine the three souls is on the evening of the third, thirteenth, and 23rd day of each month.

Today is the 5th, so we just missed the best time to condense the soul, so we need to wait for another seven days.

Li Mu searched Lao Wang's bookshelf to see if there was any way to quickly collect love and lust. Unexpectedly, he actually found it.

A side Taoist book records that some practitioners feel that the three souls after refining are too slow, and will choose to scatter them directly.

After that, they join the secular world and specialize in seducing ignorant girls. After deceiving their emotions and bodies in a short period of time, they ruthlessly abandon them to make these women hate them. In this way, they can collect love, lust and passion at the same time.

Evil emotions condensed the last three souls in one fell swoop.

Li Mu shook his head and sighed: "This is too scumbag."

Although this was neither a gain nor a loss of life, Li Mu's conscience did not allow him to do so because he did not know how many ignorant girls' feelings he would be playing with.

But otherwise, there is only one way to obtain love and desire.

Could this be God's hint to him, hinting him to marry more wives?

Li Mu was sitting in the check-in room thinking about this problem. Two bald heads appeared at the door of the check-in room. The smaller bald head was Hui Yuan and the larger bald head was Xuan Du.

Li Mu remembered that he had promised Xuandu to treat the abbot of Jinshan Temple. He stood up and said, "Master Xuandu just needs to send a young novice to pass the message. There is no need to come in person..."

Xuandu smiled slightly and asked: "Little donor, do you have time to go to Jinshan Temple now?"

Li Mu nodded and said, "I'll go talk to the boss."

Li Mu went to check the room to inform Li Qing that she was going to Jinshan Temple. When he found that she was not at the Yamen, he had to tell Zhou Captou and Huiyuan accompanied her up the mountain.

Huiyuan calls Xuandu his uncle, but he is not a monk at Jinshan Temple.

There are six sects of Taoism and four sects of Buddhism.

To be precise, whether it is the six sects of Taoism or the four sects of Buddhism, they are not a sect, but a sect.

The Fu Lu Sect is good at Fu Lu. In addition to the ancestral court, there are countless Taoist temples, all of which are branches of the Fu Lu Sect.

The difference between the four sects of Buddhism is that they practice different Dharma Sutras. The general teachings of each sect are not very different, but they believe in different Dharma Sutras and their practice habits are also very different.

Xin Zong believes that all things are like dreams and illusions, and everything is empty. Practitioners need to forget their desires and transcend themselves.

The Nirvana sect believes in the theory of Nirvana, which talks about life and death and understanding one's mind and one's nature.

The Ku sect and the Yan sect, one advocates asceticism and strict self-discipline, while the other is aloof from the world. The Dharma is not spread to others and does not come into contact with others. Their influence is far less than that of the first two sects.

The Ancestral Court of the Xin Sect belongs to the Xin Sect, and Jinshan Temple also belongs to the Xin Sect. They practice the same Dharma Sutra, and all those who regard this Dharma Sutra as a classic are branches of the Xin Sect.

Jinshan Temple and the Xinzong Ancestral Court share the same origin, so Huiyuan and Xuandu are naturally close to each other.

This is Li Mu's second visit to Jinshan Temple, except that the last time he came was at night and this time it was during the day.

Jinshan Temple is very famous in the neighborhood. This reputation is mainly created by Xuandu. Wherever there are demons and ghosts harming people nearby, he exists. After some physical transformation by him, there are now more demons and ghosts in Jinshan Temple than people.

.

Now that you have entered a temple, you naturally have to go to the Buddhist hall to pay homage.

Li Mu followed Xuandu and met many pilgrims along the way. There were many men and women chanting sutras sincerely on the futons in the Buddhist temple, but only a few futons were empty.

Li Mu stood in the Buddhist hall and looked at the people chanting sutras, feeling something familiar.

When he thought about where this familiarity came from, he closed his eyes and felt it silently. Sure enough, he found that a trace of merit spread from the bodies of these pilgrims and believers and entered the body of the Buddha statue.

Huiyuan said that if you give alms, build temples, build statues, release animals, and relieve suffering, you can gain merit.

According to Li Mu's previous understanding, merit is doing good deeds. Now it seems that merit seems to be a kind of power originating from the human heart. These Buddha statues just stand there quietly, and the people will contribute the "power of merit."

After walking out of the hall, Xuandu recited the Buddha's name and asked, "Donor Li, are you curious about merit?"

Li Mu nodded and said: "This power is quite magical, I don't know what the mystery is."

Xuandu smiled and said: "Buddhism calls this power, Taoism calls it mind power, and the court regards it as national destiny. It can help practitioners practice, and it can also help the country gather national destiny. It is the power of faith and the people's heart."

Power."

Li Mu understood roughly that whether it is Taoism, Buddhism, or a country, if it wants to continue to grow, it is inevitable to unite people's hearts.

He who wins the hearts of the people wins the world.

A temple without pilgrims will naturally gradually decline.

A country that loses the support of its people is not far from being destroyed.

Li Mu pondered the meaning of Xuandu's words, followed him through several long corridors, and came to a side room. A young novice monk said: "Uncle Xuandu, the abbot just took a rest..."

Xuandu looked at Li Mu and said apologetically: "I may have to trouble Donor Li to wait a little longer."

"It doesn't matter." Li Mu waved his hand, indicating that he didn't mind, and asked: "I wonder what level Master Abbot has reached in his practice?"

Xuandu said: "Uncle Abbot, I cultivated the Golden Body Dharma more than ten years ago."

"Dharma image!"

Li Mu had a look of shock on his face. The fourth-grade golden body of Buddhism, the fifth-grade Dharma Realm, and the Dharma Realm realm have been cultivated to an extremely powerful state. They can compete with those who practice the Creation Realm. This is something Li Mu dare not even think about at the moment.

Who could seriously injure such an eminent Buddhist monk?

Xuandu said: "The person who injured Uncle Abbot was an evil cultivator from the Cave Mystic Realm. However, that evil cultivator was also surrounded and killed by the righteous practitioners, and his soul was scattered."

The person with the highest cultivation level that Li Mu has ever seen is Xuandu. Dongxuan is already at the pinnacle of the Middle Three Realms. Taoism and Taoism are masters of Xuan. One step further up, he is the Upper Three Realms. He is a real person among gods and immortals, and the evil spirit of Dongxuan Realm.

I have killed so many people on my cultivation path, it’s scary to think about it...

The two didn't chat for a few words before a young monk came over and said, "Uncle Xuandu, the abbot is awake..."
