Chapter 115 The Second Dead

"If Eugene Melvin is an angel..."

Annan spoke softly and reminded the three of them: "Then what are we?"

"us……"

Maria murmured.

She first looked at the "girl" who was looking at the "Warrior" statue, but after a pause, she turned her gaze to the child holding a bouquet in his hand.

"I think... I should be a 'child'. The 'girl' and 'warrior' next to each other correspond to Claire and Jin."

Maria analyzed: "Mr. Ghirlandaio's counterpart must be a 'centaur'. After all, centaurs are proficient in prophetic magic, and..."

"Although horse people are strong and good at fighting, they like to run away. This is very similar to us."

Ghirlandaio took over Maria's words and admitted frankly.

After that, he looked at Merlin again: "Mr. Merlin should be a 'giant'."

"Why giant?"

Annan raised questions about this.

He always asks questions at the most appropriate time.

Ghirlandaio smiled and replied casually: "Because giants are a race that has no vision when they are young and cannot speak when they grow old. And this..."

There is no doubt that the "Giant" statue refers to the disabled wizard Merlin Manning.

In other words, it is actually mocking his past identity as the "Hand of Winter".

As the owner of the Wizard Tower, Michelangelo obviously had no good impression of these "witch-hunting wizards".

Merlin nodded when he heard this, grinned a bit self-deprecatingly, and smiled silently.

"In this case, Master Benjamin can only be an 'old man'."

Annan nodded and brought the topic back from the embarrassing place without any trace: "There are still 'goblins' and 'giant snakes' left. Then I..."

"It's a 'goblin'."

Maria made a cold and childish voice and answered first: "Because fairies are good at bewitching people's hearts, and -"

As she said that, she glanced at Annan and added: "Leprechauns like to steal things."

"That's it..."

Annan looked at the statues of fairies and nodded clearly.

These weird beings with calf height, beautiful faces and a pair of wings are either secretly holding sword scabbards that are much taller than themselves beside the warriors, or secretly hiding money bags near the old man, or holding them behind their backs.

Equipped with poisonous spikes, it flies up to chat with "children", or flies in the ear of a girl, pointing at the warrior and saying bad things...

So, is this a prophetic statue?

This does seem like something Gerald can do.

Annan was not angry, but was thinking seriously.

After all, it was Gerald, not Annan, who was ridiculed by Master Michelangelo. Naturally, he would not take the position randomly.

So, who is the giant snake?

He set his sights on the giant snake with its head soaring into the sky in the center of the statue group.

"It looks like..."

……molt?

Annan hasn't finished speaking yet.

A huge roar, accompanied by terrifying sound waves, struck without warning.

The ground beneath their feet shook suddenly. Like an earthquake, the entire wizard tower was shaking violently... and the flames in the hall were stretched again, becoming slender and blue.

Several statues representing "warriors" suddenly became dark and transparent in the eyes of the four of them, kept fading, and finally disappeared completely.

Then, the firelight returned to its previous color again.

The hall became bright again.

"...Jin, something happened."

In the brief silence, Annan was the first to speak and spoke softly.

"Want to take a look?"

Uncle Ghirlandaio asked.

Annan glanced at Maria.

But she just shook her head slowly.

"Need not."

She frowned and replied in a low voice: "I think Claire should come back.

"To be on the safe side, if there is a place where the wizard died... it's best not to go near it."

Don't wait for Annan to reply.

On the road behind them, a person slowly walked out.

The ring on his right hand was shining slightly, and his expression was solemn and calm.

The radiance flowed out of the ring like a living thing, floating on his skin, forming a coquettish "eye".

——It is none other than the transformation wizard, Benjamin.

Seeing his appearance, Merlin immediately stood in front of Maria.

He opened his mouth slightly and took a deep breath.

Annan clearly saw that his tongue was not cut off. Instead, it was carved with many black runes, giving his tongue a gray color similar to stone.

And at the tip of the rune, there is a silver tongue ring like a ring!

As Merlin slowly inhaled, the tongue ring also shone brightly. Purple-black runes flowed out of it and spread all over his mouth.

Then, Merlin let out a breath.

Just like smoking.

White smoke slowly poured out from his mouth and nose. His eyes and ears gradually oozed cold air visible to the naked eye.

The temperature in the air seems to have dropped a bit...and it's still dropping.

Benjamin saw Merlin free the load and stopped moving forward.

The light on his ring became brighter, the half-opened eye opened more, and some fine runes were dotted from nearby.

Just when Benjamin had a confrontation with the four of them.

The wall suddenly collapsed.

No, it's not so much collapse... but melting.

The entire wall seemed to have turned into liquid, turning into something like cement.

Then, the cement suddenly separated in the middle.

Claire, with a gloomy face, slowly walked out from the other side of the wall.

There were some scars on her body caused by the high temperature, and her originally smooth and silky hair was also a little messy... as if she had just escaped from a fire.

Her ring also shone brightly. The curse formed a shape like a windmill on the back of her hand, slowly rotating.

The cement followed her forward, dragging on the ground. There was still hot blood floating around her. It was like a bright red snake, swimming flexibly in the air.

That blood...

It should be gold's blood.

Annan guessed.

Although he didn't know much about the Destruction Wizard, judging from Maria's statement and the blood that started burning violently after Jin coughed on the ground... the nature of the Destruction Wizard seemed to be unstable.

After Claire appeared, she glanced at Annan and the other four, and quickly locked her sights on Benjamin.

"It's you...right?"

she asked bitterly.

It was beyond everyone's expectations.

Benjamin admitted frankly: "If you are asking about the person who killed Jim Kellan, then...it was indeed me."

The tall and tall old man slowly unbuttoned his trench coat in a calm tone.

I saw several flasks and test tubes tied to the inside of the windbreaker. The stoppers of three or four of them had been removed.

"Is there any problem in killing a vicious pirate who has killed at least thirty people?"

Benjamin asked in a calm tone.

As he spoke, he slowly pulled out the remaining plugs.

He looked at the short curly man with light brown hair, "And you, Ms. Claire. In other words, Captain Karl Matthew, you don't have to pretend. Your hair color is very rare...

"You are the one who tamed 'Jin' and made him take an overdose of the powerful curse, right?"

Claire was silent for a while.

The hatred on her face suddenly disappeared.

He just smiled gently and brushed his short hair around his ears.

Except for his short hair and pupils, his whole body collapsed as if melting, and then stood up again, instantly reorganizing into another person.

——A young man with pale complexion, somewhat short face and deep facial features.
