Chapter 604: There is a way but no way, there is no morality but no virtue

Du Fei looked back at Zhu Ting and said with a smile: "Okay, walking on the snow at night is quite romantic."

Zhu Ting smiled and came up to hold one of his arms.

During the day, Zhu Ting did not dare to have such intimate behavior outside.

But now, I don't have so many worries about doing things in vain.

After walking a few steps, Zhu Ting didn't say anything.

But Du Fei saw that she was thoughtful and asked proactively: "What's wrong? I'm not in a high mood~"

Zhu Ting said "hmm", leaned closer to Du Fei, and whispered: "It's Lilac."

"Yang Dingxiang? What's wrong with her?" Du Fei asked, he hasn't seen her for a few days recently, could something happen? .???.

Zhu Ting said: "Dingxiang is back in Xinj. Mother Yang is sick. It seems...it seems quite serious."

Du Feixin said no wonder.

In fact, Du Fei has always felt that the relationship between Zhu Ting and Yang Dingxiang is a bit strange.

The two of them were intimate yet distant.

Including some time ago, Yang Dingxiang appeared from time to time and approached Du Fei.

Although there was no clear behavior, Du Fei always felt that the way Yang Dingxiang looked at him was a bit strange.

But after summer, it suddenly disappeared.

Du Fei said: "Are you worried about her?"

Zhu Ting said "Yeah": "When she was a child, she was just like my biological sister..."

Du Fei listened, feeling slightly different in his heart.

He had already guessed that Zhu Ting's family was related to Yang Dingxiang, but Zhu Ting had not mentioned it before, and he had not taken the initiative to ask.

It turns out that Yang Dingxiang and Zhu Ting are really close friends. Yang Dingxiang's father and Zhu Ting's father were in the same army early on.

In 1947, when Hu Zongnan attacked northern Shaanxi, little Zhu Ting and Zhu's mother got separated. It was Yang's mother who carried them out carrying one on her back and carrying the other.

But after liberation, as Father Yang and Father Zhu disagreed on many things, and even went against each other and became different factions, the relationship between the two families became cold.

It's okay if that's all.

After all, this kind of situation is not uncommon, but then Father Yang got into trouble and was sent in.

There are also some reasons for Dad Zhu inside.

Although according to Zhu Ting, Zhu's father did not frame him, in Yang Dingxiang's heart, this may not be the case.

Zhu Ting added: "It has been hard for Dingxiang these years. Seeing her laughing and joking, optimistic and upbeat, no outsider can know the pain in her heart. This time, Mother Yang is going to have some ups and downs. I'm really afraid... I'm afraid she won't be able to bear it.

"

Du Fei held Zhu Ting's hand with his backhand, but could not say any words of comfort.

In fact, what Zhu Ting needs is not comfort.

After dating for such a long time, Du Fei got to know Zhu Ting's character better and better.

Growing up in this kind of family and experiencing war when she was young, her character is very tough and strong.

She told Du Fei this, no
It's about seeking comfort.

I just wanted to tell my lover what I was thinking, and it was enough for Du Fei to listen.

Then Zhu Ting talked about a lot of past events.

After liberation, for a while, Yang Dingxiang's parents returned to work in Xinj, and Yang Dingxiang was fostered in Zhu Ting's home.

At that time, they were just like biological sisters, wearing the same skirt and sleeping on the same bed. Yang Dingxiang called her sister, instead of adding the word "ting" like now.

Even when Zhu Ting had her first period, Yang Dingxiang was covered in blood.

But not long after that, something happened to the Yang family, and everything changed...

In the evening, Du Fei left Zhu Ting's house.

Although he heard Zhu Ting talk about many past events tonight, Du Fei didn't feel that Yang Dingxiang was pitiful.

Of course, if nothing happened to Yang's father, she would definitely be as beautiful as Zhu Ting now.

But even Yang Dingxiang now is far superior to 99% of ordinary people.

Not to mention anything else, just being a college student at Minzu University will be enough to benefit her for the rest of her life.

As long as she is assigned a job after graduation, the starting salary is the end point for many people who strive for a lifetime.

The reason why Zhu Ting felt sorry for her was just because she could have been better.

Because of their shared childhood experiences, Zhu Ting regarded her as a relative.

At this time, Du Fei had more important things to do.

At eight o'clock in the evening.

Du Fei rode his bicycle to Ningcui Temple in the north of the city.

If Wang Yufen hadn't been waiting at the far intersection in advance, he might not have been able to find the right place.

This place is not remote, but it is troublesome. The plaque of "Ningcui Nunnery" on the gate of the courtyard was removed.

Even if Du Fei passed by the door, he could only turn a blind eye.

Ningcui'an is a standard three-in-one courtyard house with "one third of an acre of land".

The exterior wall is somewhat mottled and looks a bit dilapidated.

But once inside, it's a different scene.

The entire yard was cleaned very neatly, and it would not be an exaggeration to say it was spotless.

The two parked their bicycles in the front yard, with Wang Yufen leading the way.

Instead of going to the residence in Cixin's backyard, he took Du Fei into the wing in the middle courtyard.

This is the place where guests are formally entertained.

Arriving at the door, Wang Yufen knocked on the door and said, "Master, Donor Du is here."

A "Please come in" came from the room.

Du Fei couldn't help but be a little surprised after hearing this.

Different from what he expected, the voice was very crisp and clear, and there was no trace of old age at all.

According to reason, compassion

As Zai Zhen's illegitimate daughter, she should have been born around 1910, and she must be in her fifties now.

She is about the same age as Qin Huairou's mother-in-law, but older than her aunt.

And Du Fei only thought for a moment, the door was already opened.

Wang Yufen said "come in" and asked Du Fei to go forward.

There is electric light in the house, and the wattage of the bulb is quite high.

The furnishings are simple and have a faint scent of sandalwood. .??.??

Facing the door, there is a three-piece table and chairs set against the wall.

Sitting on the main seat was a female nun wearing a gray-blue monk's robe. She stood up and clasped her hands together and said, "Amitabha, the donor is finally here."

Du Fei was surprised when he saw the nun.

It's true that this nun looks too young and beautiful.

Judging by his appearance, Ci Xin is only in his early thirties.

Although she is wearing a monk's robe and a monk's hat, her figure is not visible at all, and her hair is not decorated, but her face alone shows that she is a great beauty, and her appearance is not inferior to that of Qin Huai and Zhu Ting.

If she were younger and put on fancy clothes, she would probably be even better.

Du Fei thought to himself: "Isn't this old nun a vixen?"

"Amitabha, the benefactor is here." Ci Xin said calmly.

Du Fei's heart trembled: "What do you mean? Are you trying to be mysterious, or can this bitch know what I'm thinking?"

Fortunately, Du Fei was not easy to get along with, and he immediately guessed that Ci Xin probably knew some way of observing micro-expressions, and his speech was vague, which made people suspicious.

What's more, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, humanity has flourished, ghosts and gods have changed, and spirits are no longer allowed in the mountains, let alone the best place under the emperor's feet.

But having said that, this nun does have some skills and is quite difficult to deal with.

Du Fei took advantage of the situation and asked: "May I ask Master, what is phase?"

Cixin said: "I don't dare to be a master. The donor can just call me Cixin. The so-called attachment means that the mind is persistent and the mind lives in the aspect."

Du Fei frowned and sneered: "Then I think the master is also obsessed with it."

Ci Xin looked calm and said calmly: "What does the donor say?"

Du Fei glanced around and said calmly: "Comrade Wang Yufen and I came in just now, and we were spotless all the way. It was the same when we entered the room."

Compassion said, "Buddhism is a pure place. You must wipe it diligently at all times to prevent it from causing dust."

Du Fei laughed and said: "Master, since you know the Sixth Patriarch Huineng's Bodhichie, why do you accept the inferior position?"

The allusion of "Bodhijie" written by Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch of Zen Buddhism, has been widely circulated in later generations.

Compassionate Heart then said: "The Sixth Patriarch said: Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the beginning, so how can it cause dust. It is a method made in heaven, and it is a heavenly way. It cannot be coveted by ordinary people like us. On the contrary,
And Patriarch Shenxiu said: The body is like a bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror. Always brush it diligently to prevent it from attracting dust. Although it falls into the lower vehicle, it is a humanistic method. Although it does not achieve the right result, it is the only way for mortals like us."

Du Fei blinked and realized the problem.

He was also unlucky. This woman had studied Buddhist scriptures for decades, so talking about this with her was not asking for abuse.

But admitting defeat at this time would be tantamount to taking a step back.

If I talk about other things below, my momentum will be weaker.

Du Fei simply resorted to sophistry, you said the front door building, I said the hip axis.

He sneered and said: "The only way? I'm afraid there is a way but no way, and in the end it will be all in vain."

Even though he was denied the right to practice the Dharma, his loving heart did not become angry.

Instead, he looked at Du Fei and said calmly: "Teach me."

Du Fei was so busy that he said: "Master is a great Buddhist. He has practiced Buddhism for many years. His Dharma is profound. I tell you that Buddhism is definitely just a trick. But if you think about it, you will reach the same goal through different paths. Laozi's "Tao Te Ching" says that superior virtue is not virtue, so there is

Virtue. The lower virtues are not virtuous, so there is no virtue. The same is true in Buddhism. The superior method can be obtained without asking for it. The lower method, even if you wipe it diligently all the time, is also low virtue and not virtue. Therefore, there is no virtue, and it will eventually become empty.

.”

Cixin asked in surprise: "The donor also studied the Tao Te Ching?"

Du Fei said: "Don't dare to delve into it, I know a little bit."

Ci Xin sighed: "That's all, it doesn't matter if I have a door but no path, or if I have low morals but no virtue. I am a person with six impure roots, and I didn't dare to expect to achieve true enlightenment, but..."

Speaking of this, she looked deeply at Du Fei, and her eyes seemed to sparkle with light.

Du Fei's hair straightened when he saw it.

Although Ci Xin looks very young, he is still too old.

The corner of Du Fei's mouth twitched and he interrupted: "Well, master, let's not talk in circles. The fourth uncle is all out there now, so let's not talk about it. You have called me over again and again, what is your advice?"

Du Fei looked at her, but Ci Xin didn't respond immediately.

Wang Yufen on the side didn't dare to express her anger.

Although the conversation between Du Fei and Ci Xin just now was not long, it was an exchange of words between you and me.

She followed Ci Xin since she was a child and not only learned martial arts, but also learned a lot of Buddhist teachings.

But Ci Xin kept saying that she had no connection with Buddhism and would not enter Buddhism.

But just now, Wang Yufen heard that Du Fei had directly rejected the practice of loving-kindness at its root.

He said that she had no path and no hope of practicing.

However, Ci Xin did not refute, as if he acquiesced!

This made Wang Yufen unbelievable.

At such a young age, Du Fei had such profound Buddhist practice, which left her master speechless.
