164. Sudden accident

Before, if someone had told Gu Zhuo that a dog could become the leader of a pack of wolves, Gu Zhuo would have thought it was nonsense.

But now, looking at Sam's majestic appearance among a group of white wolves, he just lamented that things are unpredictable and such a dramatic thing actually happened.

Since the addition of this group of white wolves, the camp has had a natural guard. They listen to Sam very much, and they also respect Gu Zhuo very much. Except for going out to look for food, they always stay in the camp and squat in the Doomsday Fortress.

He was almost there every step of the way.

After solving Jia Sheng's robotic arm and upgrading Gu Zhuo's war machine, the next step is to drastically upgrade the armed helicopter.

There are still five days until the next fourteen-day natural disaster, and Gu Zhuo wants to complete the upgrade of the armed helicopter before the next disaster occurs.

With enough materials, I recalled Chaoying's design drawings from my mind and asked the machinist to scan them. I learned that it would take three days to complete the transformation.

After the modification, there were still two days left. These two days were not too tight for Jia Sheng to familiarize himself with the control of the helicopter. Thinking of this, Gu Zhuo naturally chose to confirm without hesitation and let the mechanic

Upgrade the helicopter.

Although he had this group of white wolves as guards, Gu Zhuo was still a little worried about the surrounding environment, and he had to do some personal investigation to find out.

He asked Jia Sheng and others to stay in the Doomsday Fortress, while he drove a heavy motorcycle and inspected the dense forest around the camp.

Although the heavy motorcycle is larger in size and the engine roars loudly, Gu Zhuo installed a silencer so the noise does not spread over a wide range to ensure that other large beasts will not be attracted to it.

Nothing was found around the dense forest, only some mutated little beasts. Not to mention these mutated little beasts posing any threat to Gu Zhuo, it would be fine if Gu Zhuo didn't hunt them.

Two days in a row passed away in such boredom.

Gu Zhuo also became more comfortable riding the heavily-equipped motorcycle.

It wasn't until the early morning of the third day that an accident happened unexpectedly.

In the early hours of the morning, Gu Zhuo was still lying on the bed, holding Chao Ying in his arms, sleeping peacefully, when he suddenly heard Sam shouting outside, as if he had discovered something.

Jia Sheng, who was sleeping outside, was the first to be woken up by Sam. He kicked off his feet and jumped out of bed.

Hearing these movements, Gu Zhuo was already a light sleeper, and now it was difficult to wake up.

He didn't even have time to change into his pajamas, so he took out a pistol he carried with him from the bedside table next to him, opened the bedroom door, and rushed out.

"what happened?"

He raised his gun and asked Jia Sheng who was standing outside.

"I don't know what happened, Sam just woke me up."

Hearing this, both of them looked towards Sam, who was still shouting "bark", and outside the Doomsday Fortress, the white wolves were also howling one after another, sounding like they were wary of something.

"It's late at night. It's not like those monsters are attacking us again, right?"

Gu Zhuo still vividly remembered the scene of that night. Now that he saw Sam and the white wolf outside acting like this, his first reaction was that the wave-like monster was attacking again.

The two waited for a while. Chao Ying also woke up early, leaning against Gu Zhuo's bedroom door frame, looking at the two of them with worried eyes.

"It shouldn't be a monster attack, I heard other sounds..."

Gu Zhuo pricked up his ears and listened carefully, and caught a strange "buzzing" sound among Sam's roar and the threatening growls of the white wolves.

Listening to the buzzing sound, Gu Zhuo immediately covered his body with the war machine, opened the door of the Doomsday Fortress, and jumped out.

Sam followed.

After jumping out of the car, he saw that the white wolves had already woken up and were guarding the Doomsday Fortress, staring at the sky. Gu Zhuo raised his head and looked at the sky, and saw a black spot on the distant horizon.

The flight path of the dots is very weird and crooked, like drawing symbols in the sky.

It doesn't look like some kind of flying animal.

The war machine's visual targeting system magnified the black spot in the sky, and then Gu Zhuo saw clearly that the black spot in the sky was actually another helicopter.

"What's going on? Didn't the prophet teach those guys to find this place?"

The moment Gu Zhuo saw the helicopter, he was upset.

But no matter what, no matter what the identity of the helicopter was, Gu Zhuo was prepared for the battle in advance. He asked Sam and himself to get back to the car, and several white wolves were still spinning around the car.

Walking towards the cab, Chaoying asked beside him:

"Gu Zhuo, what was outside just now?"

"It's another helicopter. I don't know where it came from, and I don't know which force it belongs to. Anyway, we have to be prepared to meet the enemy."

At this time, Jia Sheng had already sat in the driver's seat and sat with Sam:

"Will their attack affect the upgrade of the armed helicopters?"

"As long as you don't go too far and just sit down like the infected person, there won't be much of a problem."

Gu Zhuo answered him while starting the car.

After the Doomsday Fortress was upgraded, all previous damage was repaired. Not only that, the armor was thicker and its damage tolerance became stronger.

It could only withstand five rounds of 99a armor-piercing bullets before, but now it can withstand about seven to eight rounds of armor-piercing bullets.

It seems that every repair and upgrade will increase the upper limit of the Doomsday Fortress itself.

After starting the car, Gu Zhuo stretched out the Gatlings at the four corners of the car and aimed at the sky. Although the power of the air cannon was low, it was better than nothing. Gu Zhuo still aimed the two air cannons at the sky.

Not only that, the two robotic arms of the car are also ready to go at any time. As long as the helicopter dares to get close to the reach of the robotic arms, it will be caught directly in the air.

In any case, even if the land-to-air battle does involve some losses, Gu Zhuo does not want to show weakness.

Through the combat observation system of the Doomsday Fortress, Gu Zhuo saw that the helicopter was flying closer and closer, but it still had such a weird flight curve, as if no one was controlling it at all, and it was letting it fall freely.

"What's going on? Even if you don't know how to fly a plane, you can't fly it like this, right?"

Gu Zhuo was wondering when he saw the helicopter passing through the sky above him at a strange angle, with the entire fuselage turning sideways.

Seeing this, Gu Zhuo suddenly understood what happened:

This helicopter has been severely damaged, cannot be controlled at all, and is about to crash!

Sure enough, after the helicopter passed over their heads, there was a loud "boom" sound soon after, as if something huge hit the ground.

The birds in the forest were awakened and flew away with flapping wings. Gu Zhuo listened to the noise coming from not far away, and the sound seemed to be in their southwest direction.

"They fell to the southwest."

Gu Zhuo said.

He squinted his eyes, and a thought suddenly came to his mind:

He was going to take a look at the crashed helicopter.
