I arrived in Zhengzhou by car smoothly on the morning of the 19th. It rained continuously but not too hard. I spent a day running in the hospital and made an appointment for a checkup the next day. I heard it raining outside at the hotel at night and didn't care. This kind of rain is still very common.
.
The next morning I went to the hospital to wait in line. My phone ran out of battery at noon, so I came down to find a place to charge it. I returned to the hospital around two o'clock. When I crossed the road, there was water on the ground. The water reached my calves. The water flow was fast and obvious when I waded through the water.
There is a sense of instability in the center of gravity.
I went back to the hospital and waited upstairs. Around 5 p.m., I heard from the patient that the lobby on the first floor had flooded, and the water on the road at the entrance was probably as deep as his thighs.
It was basically impossible to leave at this time. Unexpectedly, the entire hospital would soon have a power outage. At this point, my mobile phone had no battery and no signal. I looked through the window in confusion and saw cars floating everywhere outside (because I had been waiting upstairs and didn’t check what was going on outside). It felt like there was a lot of water.
Hours suddenly skyrocketed.
Because the entrance was blocked by water, many people had to be trapped in the hospital. Because they were fasting for more than a day during the examination, they were hungry!
I sat in the lobby with many people at night. There was no water or electricity, and there was basically no signal on my mobile phone.
The nurse in the department took out a few boxes of small tubes of glucose and distributed them to the elderly and children first, but a few dozen tubes were a drop in the bucket compared to a few hundred people.
The hospital cafeteria obviously cannot serve that many people.
Really experience what it means to be so hungry that your stomach hurts.
After sitting all night, I felt hungry, sleepy and cold in the early morning.
(A family member of a patient came here at around 1:00 a.m. He said that the car was parked on the viaduct because he couldn’t walk even if he wanted to. The traffic police were maintaining order to prevent drivers in unknown road conditions from being in danger. His family members left with him. During this period, some local patients from Zhengzhou
Also tried wading home through the water.)
It finally dawned, the water outside was drained, and it was basically passable. I quickly left the hospital and found a hotel to stay.
When I arrived at the hotel, I found that many people were waiting to check in in the lobby. The lady at the front desk asked me to wait because there were no rooms and many people sat in the lobby all night.
In the morning, the hotel owner cooked a big pot of noodles for free to satisfy the hunger of these people who were trapped in the hotel lobby and could not check in. I was very touched.
Finally, when someone checked out and it was my turn to check in, I was so excited. I was so sleepy.
The price of the hotel seems pretty good and the price has not increased when compared online. At least I think the environment is well worth the money.
Charge your phone, check in with family and friends, and then take a good nap.
After waking up, I went out to look for food. There were many people on the street. It seemed that 80% of the water on the road had disappeared. When I went to the train station, there was not much water. There were many rescue vehicles draining water. Thank you to these people for their tireless work.
Part of the street was flooded and the power was out. Fortunately, this hotel had power.
When I returned to the hotel, I connected my mobile phone to find out if the editor was okay. When I learned that everything was fine, I was told that I didn’t have to worry about asking for leave and ensuring full attendance. I would like to thank the company and the editor again for their care.
Finally, I would like to apologize to my dear readers for not being able to update in the past two days. I will try my best to resume updating when I get home in the past two days.
