'White Snake'

Once upon a time, there was a king who was famous throughout the country for his wisdom. He knew everything in the world, and it seemed that even the most secret things could be heard in his ears. However, this king had a strange thing.

Habit: After dinner every day, after the table has been cleared and everyone else has left, a loyal waiter will bring him another dish. However, this dish is covered with a lid, so no one knows what is inside.

Even the attendant didn't know what it contained, because the king always had to wait until he was the only one left in the room before he opened the lid and ate it.

This situation continued for a long time, and finally one day, the waiter who served the bowl could no longer restrain his curiosity and brought the dish into his room. He carefully locked the door, opened the lid, and saw the plate

The dish inside was a white snake. After he saw it, he couldn't help but want to taste it, so he cut off a small piece with a knife and put it into his mouth. As soon as the snake meat touched his tongue, he heard something outside the window.

There were some strange little voices whispering. He went to the window and listened carefully, and found that it was a group of sparrows chatting, telling each other what they had seen and heard in the fields and forests. After eating the piece of snake meat, he

Now I can actually understand animal language!

Coincidentally, on this day, the queen's most beautiful ring disappeared. Because this attendant could go anywhere, the suspicion of stealing the ring fell on him. The king called him and cursed him.

He also threatened that if he could not tell who the thief was the next morning, he would be judged as a thief and be executed. The attendant repeatedly declared that he was innocent, but to no avail, the king still did not change his mind.

.

The attendant was troubled and afraid, so he walked into the yard to think of a way out of his bad luck. Several ducks were sitting quietly by the stream in the yard, combing their feathers with their beaks and whispering.

The attendants stood aside and listened. They told each other about where they had been all morning and what good things they had found to eat.

One of the ducks complained: "I have something very heavy in my stomach. I was eating in a hurry and swallowed a ring under the Queen's window."

The waiter immediately grabbed the duck by the neck, took it to the kitchen, and said to the chef: "I'm giving you a fat duck. Please kill it."

"Okay," the chef said, while weighing the duck with his hands, "this guy worked hard to make himself fat, and he has been waiting to go into the oven." As the chef said, he chopped off the duck's head and put it in the oven.

When the duck was gutted, the queen's ring was found inside.

This time the attendant easily proved his innocence. The king felt that he should not be wronged and wanted to make some amends, so he allowed him to make a request and promised to give him the best position in the palace as long as he asked.

But the attendant declined all these, and only asked for a horse and some travel expenses to let him go out and see the outside world. The king agreed to his request, and he set off on his way.

One day, he came to a pond and saw three fish entangled in reeds, opening their mouths to drink water. Although people often say that fish are mute, he heard them doing this for him.

He died tragically and sighed. He was kind, dismounted, and put the three fish back into the water. The fish were so happy that they stuck their heads out of the water and shouted to him: "We will remember you."

, and will repay your life-saving grace."

He continued to move forward on his horse. After a while, he felt like he heard something in the sand under his feet. He listened for a while and heard an ant king complaining: "Why are those humans riding stupid animals...

Why not stay away from us? How many of us have been trampled to death by the heavy hooves of this stupid horse!" So he quickly took the horse to the side road. The ant king shouted to him: "We will remember you.

Good intentions will be rewarded!"

The path led him into a forest. He saw two old crows standing by the nest, throwing little crows out. "You lazy, useless things! Get out of here!" the old crows were scolding.

, "We can't feed you anymore. You have grown so big, you should feed yourself." But those little crows were lying on the ground one by one, flapping their wings and shouting: "We are so pitiful! No one can help us."

We have to feed ourselves, but we can’t even fly! Besides lying here and starving to death, what other options do we have?” The kind-hearted young man jumped off the horse, pulled out his sword and turned the horse around.

Kill it and leave it to the little crows as food. The little crows immediately jumped over and ate while shouting: "We will remember you. Good intentions will be rewarded!"

He could only walk on two legs now. After walking a long way, he came to a big city. A group of people were chattering on the street. A man on horseback shouted loudly: "The princess wants to choose

Husband, but the suitor must complete a difficult task, and if he fails, he will have to give up his life." Many people have tried, but they just lost their lives in vain. As soon as our young man saw

The princess was so enchanted by her beauty that she forgot about the danger and went to the king to propose marriage.

He was taken to the seaside, and a ring was thrown into the sea in front of him. The king ordered him to fish the ring up from the bottom of the sea, and said: "If you can't fish it out, we will push you back into the sea until the waves

Swallow you up." Everyone felt sorry for this handsome young man, and they all left quietly, leaving him alone at the beach.

He stood on the beach, thinking about what to do. Suddenly, he saw three fish swimming toward him, and they were the three fish he had saved. The middle fish swam to the shore with a shell in its mouth.

So he spit it out at the young man's feet. He picked up the shell and opened it, only to see the gold ring inside. He excitedly took the ring to see the king, thinking that the king would definitely give the promised reward.

he.

However, when the proud princess learned that he was of humble origin, she looked down upon him very much and asked him to complete the second task first. She walked to the garden, spread ten bags of millet on the grass with her own hands, and said: "Tomorrow before sunrise

, you must pick them all up, not a single grain is missing!”

The young man sat in the garden, thinking about how to complete this task. But he couldn't think of any way, so he had to sit there sadly, waiting for dawn to be taken to be executed. Who knows when the first ray of sunlight shines in?

When he was in the garden, he saw that the ten full bags of millet were lined up beside him, and not a single grain was missing. It turned out that the ant king had come with thousands of ants at night.

These repaying little animals worked tirelessly to pick up all the millet and put it into bags.

After a while, the princess came to the garden in person and was extremely surprised to see that the young man had completed the task assigned to him. But her proud heart had not yet been conquered, so she said: "Although he has completed two tasks,

Even though I have to do this task, I still can’t marry him unless he can pick an apple from the tree of life.”

The young man had no idea where the Tree of Life was, but he set out anyway and was ready to keep looking until he couldn't walk any further. However, he didn't hold out much hope. He searched all over the three kingdoms in one day.

He arrived at a forest. He was lying under a tree and was about to sleep. Suddenly he heard a rustling sound on the branches, and a golden apple fell into his hand! At the same time, three crows flew down and landed on him.

On his knees, he said: "We are the three crows you saved. When we grew up, we heard that you were looking for golden apples, so we flew across the sea to the end of the world where the tree of life grew, and gave you apples.

Picked it up."

The young man was extremely happy and returned to the beautiful princess with the golden apple. Now the princess had nothing to say. They cut the fruit of life in half and ate it. Her heart was filled with joy.

He was filled with love for him, and they lived a happy and peaceful life from then on.
