Chapter 468

Mr. Jia obviously met someone who knew how to drink. He asked with joy and surprise: "Did you drink it?"

Lao Tan said: "Well, I drank it." Then he continued: "Pine needle wine is an ancient method of wine making. Drinking pine needle wine regularly helps blood circulation, promotes metabolism, and nourishes the heart, brain, liver, and kidneys.

There is a saying in the wine book that drinking pine needle wine regularly can help filter blood lipids, relax muscles and activate blood circulation, regulate qi and stomach, and replenish yin and yang. Elderly people who drink it can perform body maintenance, improve their quality of life, and extend their life cycle.

It’s just that not many people can use pine needles to make wine now. Most of them use pine needles to make wine like your old man. The effect of making wine is half, and the effect of prolonging life is missing.”

Mr. Jia couldn't help but nodded and said, "It seems you understand very well."

As he was about to pour another glass for Lao Tan, Lao Tan quickly stopped him and said with a smile: "Thank you, old man. I have high blood pressure and can't drink this. Just try it. You can drink it when your blood pressure is normal. It can promote blood circulation."

ah."

The old man suddenly understood and hurriedly said: "I'm sorry, sorry." After that, he poured a glass, took a sip of enjoyment, and said: "I've been a drinker since I was young, and I almost never get drunk without drinking, because I often have to deal with my wife.

Children's training.

I didn’t care about that. Now that I’m old, I drink less and I’m no longer greedy. When I came here, I saw the pine trees on the mountain were green and the pine needles were very good, so I picked some brewed wine. This is my second jar. I don’t drink too much every day. In the morning

One tael, one tael at noon, two taels in the evening."

Lao Tan said: "That's fine. Four taels a day is just right for your age. Logically speaking, you shouldn't drink alcohol in the morning. The morning is Mao hour, when the large intestine is in season, and it's when the earth's door opens to expel waste from the body. Then comes Chen hour.

, when the stomach meridian is in order, eat as Yang Qi grows to supplement nutrients, and avoid drinking alcohol.

As the saying goes, if you drink in the morning, you will be drunk all day long. It is true. Alcohol enters the blood with food and anesthetizes the nerves and brain, making you naturally confused and intoxicated. But it doesn't matter if you only drink one or two, especially pine needle wine, which relaxes muscles, activates blood circulation, and filters blood lipids.

It’s beneficial and harmless.”

Mr. Jia was happy and in a great mood after hearing this. He was beaming as he found a basis for him to drink in the morning.

After breakfast, the seven of them went back to their houses. Old Mrs. Jiang told Old Tan that everyone, like the monks in the temple, had two meals a day. After breakfast, they were free to move around. They could go to the quiet hall of the main hall to meditate and chant sutras, or go for a walk in the mountains.

You can do your own thing in your own room without anyone disturbing you.

Dinner was at that time yesterday, so Lao Tan naturally cooked the food.

After Lao Tan returned to the room, he took medicine for his fever, then made a pot of tea, turned on the computer and connected to the Internet, and watched the news for a while. The Internet was not good and the time lag was intermittent, so he turned it off. He felt that his legs were sore.

Knowing that I was tired from going up the mountain, I went to bed to rest.

An hour later, Lao Tan got up from the bed, left the incense guest room, went to the temple, and borrowed a copy of the Diamond Sutra from Zhike Monk.

He had read the Diamond Sutra before, but only in general terms. He wanted to take advantage of three months of recuperation to read it again and polish it carefully.

He is not a devout Buddhist, or even a believer in Buddhism. He just likes Buddhist culture and is willing to study it. The great virtue said that he has a predestined relationship with Buddha. It is probably because he does not believe in Buddhism but sees it more clearly.

He believes that China's three major religions are the traditional culture of the Chinese nation: Buddhism cultivates nature, Taoism cultivates mind, and Confucianism cultivates body.

Learning Buddhism makes people let go, learning Taoism makes people pure, and learning Confucianism makes people behave better.

Although Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are three schools of thought, they all have similarities and should not be obsessed with superstition.

Buddhism originated in India, flourished in China, and became famous all over the world.

What is a Buddha? A Buddha is a human being, and a human being is a Buddha. They only care about obsession and awakening.

Lao Tan took the Diamond Sutra and did not go back immediately. Instead, he entered the quiet hall of the main hall.

In the quiet hall, Cigarette Niaoniao, Mrs. Jiang, Sister Tang from Qingdao, and the Tao brothers were meditating and chanting sutras. Lao Tan looked at them and quietly exited without disturbing them, then left the temple and returned to the guest room.

Not long after he arrived in the room, a young lama came over and called him, saying that the old lama who was in retreat asked him to come over. He asked in confusion: "Isn't the master in retreat?"

The young lama said: "I am in retreat, I only want to see you."

"Where to retreat?" Lao Tan asked.

"Follow me, I'll take you there."

The young lama led the way, followed by Lao Tan, who entered the temple again and went around to the back of the main hall. It turned out that there was a cave behind the main hall, and the main hall blocked the cave, so you couldn't find it without going around.

The entrance of the cave is very high and has a foyer.

Lao Tan followed the young lama and pushed the door open. Inside was a quiet room with simple furnishings, including a bed, a table, a stool, a few daily things, and an offering table with an incense burner on top, in which incense was burning.

There was another door in the quiet room. The young lama pushed it open and asked Lao Tan to go in.

Lao Tan walked in suspiciously, thinking that this should be the old lama's retreat.

After entering, I looked up and saw that there was a cave inside.

The first feeling is that the cave is so big, empty and far-reaching; the second feeling is that it is warm inside, like spring; the third feeling is that I am tipsy, full of the scent of sandalwood.

The old lama was sitting on the wooden couch in the cave meditating, looking at Lao Tan with a smile.

Lao Tan stepped forward, put his hands together, nodded and saluted.

"Hello, master."

"Hello donor."

The old lama motioned for Old Tan to sit down, and Old Tan took off his shoes and sat cross-legged on the wooden couch.

The old lama said: "After the New Year, there were too many questions and I couldn't shirk them, so I went into seclusion on the tenth day of the new year."

Lao Tan smiled and said: "They are all big leaders, probably from other provinces."

The old lama smiled without saying a word and nodded slightly.

Lao Tan said: "The world knows that you have high cultivation, so I ask you to enlighten me; the leaders know that you have great wisdom, so I ask you to give me some guidance."

The old lama said: "Just asking something."

Lao Tan then laughed and changed the subject: "I brought the master three kinds of plum blossom wine and beef jerky from Tongliao Ganqika."

The old lama also smiled and said: "You will be released from seclusion in ten days." Then he said seriously: "Come, I will take your pulse."

Lao Tan stretched out his arms and said, "Meat and wine can lead to Buddhism."

The old lama smiled and said nothing, and carefully took Lao Tan's pulse, looked at his complexion, asked about the situation, and then said: "The donor has been worried and anxious all year round, has an irregular diet, and drinks too much, which will naturally damage his stomach and liver. Fortunately, he is kind.

Food, the damage is not big, it’s just due to genetics, high blood pressure and bad trachea.”

Lao Tan nodded.

"Worrying and worrying will inevitably lead to illness, but I see that you are not a short-lived person. If you save people's lives four times, you should die without illness. There is no need to worry about life or death."

After thinking about it, Lao Tan seemed to have saved people four times. The first time was when he rescued Xiaohui and his daughter in Binhai, the second time was when he rescued the decorator at the Haidong store in Hohhot, the third time was when he rescued Wang Haijuan in the sea of fire, and the fourth time was when he rescued Wang Haijuan in the sea of fire.

The second time was to save Gu Yi in the rain.

Lao Tan asked: "What else can you say? This is a real disease." This means that the cancer he has is not an external disease.

The old lama said: "It's just a serious illness, not to mention it's in the early stages. If you relax your mind and take good care of yourself, it won't be a problem."

"Thank you very much." Lao Tan said.

"Stay here, put down the worldly things, and practice with peace of mind. Get up early to go up the mountain to chop wood, talk about the old and absorb the new, which can open up the heart. Meditate and chant sutras at noon, and the spiritual platform will be clear, and the troubles and dryness will be removed, and the body will feel empty; at night, under the fireworks, the two worlds will be

I don’t know, if you do your homework, the wine will clear the air, you will be open-minded, and you will feel relaxed.

If your mind is bright and your eyes are bright, you can understand the heaven and earth by looking at mountains and rivers, and you can gain insight into the way of heaven by looking at birds and animals.

My Buddha is compassionate and saves people from suffering and achieves happiness. This place is not a big mountain or a famous river, but it is also blessed by nature. The mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the four seasons are distinct. It has its own way of heaven. The spirit of the mountain is connected with cause and effect, and the evil beasts also have good karma; the water

Beauty has aura, and all things are alive and well.

I dug mountains, paved roads, built temples and built temples here not for the sake of the prosperity of incense, but because the place occupies the aura of heaven and earth, is safe and pure, and is suitable for pure practice. If good men and women are strong-willed and not afraid of hardship, they can live together and practice together.

Feeling the creation of heaven and earth, enjoying the aura of heaven and earth, and having no distractions in the mind, why is there any disease?

If you really receive the guidance of my Buddha, have sudden enlightenment and influence, and use your transcendental wisdom to do worldly things and benefit the people, it will also be a meritorious deed."

"You have great wisdom and great merit." Lao Tan said sincerely.

"Almsgiver, compared to making merit, you are greater than me. I live here deeply, and I only understand the Buddha's teachings to reach the world. You are a true practitioner, building a shop to provide food for the people, and allowing thousands of people to have jobs to support their families in Hukou.

Such a house has a kind heart, is willing to do good, and values affection and righteousness, which is a great merit."
