150 Enemies meet on a narrow road

Returning to the Portuguese Super League, we ushered in the twenty-sixth round. Sporting Lisbon challenged fellow city team Belerenses away.

Su Dong and Ronnie were both substitutes in this game.

Before the end of the first half, Joao Pinto scored a goal for Sporting Lisbon.

In the 71st minute of the second half, Rui Borgès equalized the score for Belerenses.

The game remained stalemate until the 85th minute, when Sudong, who came on as a substitute, planned an attack. Tonito received Rodrigo Tello's pass and scored the winning goal for Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting Lisbon beat Belerences 2-1 in an away game.

In another game played at the same time, Porto defeated Benfica 1-0 with Deco's goal in the 36th minute.

It is worth mentioning that due to the red card, Benfica was one man short of its opponent for more than 20 minutes, but Porto failed to expand its lead, which gave a vague glimpse of the team's fatigue.

In the UEFA Cup quarter-finals in midweek, Porto faced Panathinaikos at home.

Mourinho was determined to win this game, but what he didn't expect was that the Greek team defended tightly for more than 70 minutes and refused to give Porto any chance.

Mourinho even risked his life and made substitutions in the 46th minute to strengthen the attack. In the 55th minute, he used up the remaining two substitutions. It was almost a gamble with his life, but he could not break the Greek team.

's goal.

Instead, in the 73rd minute, the Greeks used a quick counterattack to score Porto's goal and maintain their one-goal lead until the end of the game.

This is the first time Porto has lost at home in European competition this season!

They lost to Panathinaikos in midweek and narrowly defeated Benfica at the weekend. Both games exposed Porto's hidden dangers.

That is that the team's offense lacks the ability to attack tough problems. When encountering a defensive team, Porto lacks effective ways to defeat the enemy. Therefore, some Portuguese media revealed that after beating Panathinaikos, Mourinho reported to the Porto management

Submitted this summer's transfer list.

The first one on the list is none other than Sporting Lisbon’s center, Su Dong!

…………

Midweek, the second leg of the UEFA Cup quarter-finals knockout round.

Sporting Lisbon plays at home against Lazio.

After gaining a 2-1 away advantage in the first round, back at home, Bologna's formation still used three midfielders, and at the same time required the whole team to defend and counterattack.

Mancini's team had no choice. They took the initiative at the start of the away game and took the lead in attacking.

The crazy attack of the Serie A team is still quite stressful, especially with Fiore's comeback.

Only six minutes into the game, it was Fiore's long pass from the right. Left back Favalli quickly stepped in and assisted Lopez in front of the goal, breaking Sporting Lisbon's goal and equalizing the total score for Lazio.

One to zero, the total score was 2 to 2, but Sporting Lisbon still had the away goal advantage.

Lazio seemed to have sensed an opportunity and continued to play against Sporting Lisbon.

But the good times didn't last long. In just four minutes, Sporting Lisbon launched a quick counterattack.

Albertini made a long pass from the backcourt and accurately sent the ball behind the defense.

Sporting Lisbon's frontcourt trident is like three sharp arrows, pointing directly at Lazio's penalty area.

Sudong got rid of Mihajlovic and Stam very quickly, caught up with the ball, and quickly distributed the ball to the left.

Ronnie caught the ball ahead of Pancaro and knocked on the front and back of the door.

Favalli stepped into the attack, and Quaresma, who was unguarded, easily followed up and hit a push shot, one to one!

Sporting Lisbon played a very efficient and deadly counterattack!

After the total score was brought back to 3-2, Lazio still tried to attack.

Sporting Lisbon was well prepared for this, patiently holding on and waiting for the opportunity to counterattack.

The front-court trident requires skill, height, and speed. It is far beyond Lazio's old defense line, which makes Lazio extremely fearful.

The two teams were wasting away like this.

It wasn't until the 70th minute of the second half that Mancini made another substitution in an attempt to strengthen the attack, and the first person to be replaced was Diego Simeone.

The bandit leader was still grinning fiercely tonight, but when he was replaced, he looked very helpless.

In the end, Sporting Lisbon and Lazio shook hands one to one after a boring game.

Two to one away from home and one to one at home, Sporting Lisbon eliminated the Blue Eagles from the UEFA Cup with a total score of 3 to 2, causing a huge upset in the UEFA Cup.

Coincidentally, another arena also experienced an upset.

After the Scottish Premiership Celtic drew 1-1 with Liverpool at home in the first leg, they went to the away game and defeated Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield Stadium, which also caused a big upset.

Houllier's team suffered a blow after the first leg. Senegal forward Diouf was suspended for spitting at a fan, and his performance in the game was far worse than in the first leg.

Obviously, multi-front operations have affected Liverpool's performance.

But on the other side, the Celtics coached by Martin O'Neill showed bravery and turned the tables, scoring two goals in a row and advancing to the semi-finals.

Just like Lazio's match against Sporting Lisbon, this matchup was also considered by the media and fans before the game to be a guaranteed win, but unexpectedly it was a series of upsets.

Even if Sporting Lisbon upset Lazio in the first round, Celtic unexpectedly upset Liverpool in the second round, making this UEFA Cup a series of upsets.

Boavista of the Portuguese Super League lost to Málaga 0-1 in the first round away game. After returning home, in the 83rd minute, Brazilian forward Claudio, who came on as a substitute, scored a goal and successfully ended the game.

It was dragged into a penalty shootout.

In the end, Boavista, playing at home, defeated Malaga 5-1 on penalties and successfully advanced to the semi-finals.

Porto, who lost 1-0 at home in the first round, also had a tough time on their trip to Greece.

But after that, both teams failed to make any gains, and Porto's 4-4-2 failed to break through the Greek team's double defensive midfielder style.

The game entered overtime, and in the 103rd minute, substitute midfielder Thiago assisted Del Rey to score another victory.

In the end, Porto relied on Delle's brace to defeat Panathinaikos 2-0 in an away game and advance to the semi-finals.

This is embarrassing now.

Three Portuguese Super League teams and one Scottish Premier League team appeared in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup. No team from the four major leagues was spared and their entire army was wiped out. This also shocked the entire European football world.

Could it be said that after the Champions League became a game for the rich, the UEFA Cup became a stage for second- and third-rate league teams?

On the night after the second leg of the UEFA Cup, UEFA held a draw at its headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Celtic drew Boavista.

Sporting Lisbon drew Porto.

The former is the guest first and then the host.

When the news came, the entire Portuguese football world was both happy and worried.

Fortunately, three Portuguese Super League teams have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, which will earn the Portuguese Super League a lot of European points.

European points can improve league results and give Portuguese Super League teams an advantage in European competitions.

For example, in the future, the Portuguese Super League champion will not need to play in the third round of qualifying and will directly enter the Champions League group stage.

Worryingly, the two strongest teams in the Portuguese Super League took the lead in the duel, but the weaker Boavista met Celtic. This made the Portuguese media expect that the Portuguese Super League teams would meet in the final.

Desires are much slimmer.

After all, Boavista's performance this season is not ideal.

When Sporting Lisbon meets Porto, this is not only a showdown between the top four of the UEFA Cup, but also a preview of the Portuguese Super League championship.

The first leg of the match between the two sides will be held in Porto on April 10th.

…………

…………

Over the weekend, the 27th round of the Portuguese Super League.

Sporting Lisbon plays at home against Leiria.

Su Dong and Ronnie sat on the bench again.

The first half was inextricable between the two sides.

In the 22nd minute, forward Martial opened the scoring for Leiria and scored against Sporting Lisbon.

In the 64th minute of the second half, Boloni replaced Ronnie to strengthen the team's wing attack.

In just three minutes, there was a breakthrough from Ronnie on the left. Tonito got the ball in the penalty area, passed the opponent's player and hit the volley, equalizing the score for Sporting Lisbon.

But then, the game reached a deadlock again.

In the 75th minute, Bologna made the last substitution, and Su Dong replaced Nikolai.

In just six minutes, with a cross from the right from Quaresma, Sudong overwhelmed his opponent in the penalty area and hit the goal with a header from close range, two to one!

Sporting Lisbon reversed Leiria at home and won another three points!

In another matchup at the same time, Porto returned to Portugal after a long journey to Greece and faced Ferreira away from home.

The game turned into a hand-to-hand battle.

In the 38th minute of the first half, midfielder Thiago, who had just made great achievements in Greece, got into a fight with the opponent's midfielder Paulo Sosa, and both were sent off with red cards.

During the halftime break, Mourinho replaced two players in an angry manner in an attempt to strengthen the attack.

In the 60th minute, Ferreira suffered another heavy blow. The main defender Armando fouled while defending and was sent off with a direct red card.

With one more player than their opponent, Porto launched a crazy offensive, vowing to defeat their opponent and get all three points.

But the result was very surprising. Porto could not attack for a long time. Instead, in the third minute of stoppage time, just as the game was about to end, Ferreira earned a corner kick and substitute central defender Kadu headed the ball.

Hit and scored the only goal of the game.

It was with the decisive victory at the last moment of the game that Ferreira defeated Porto at home 1-0.

The whole of Portugal was shocked!

No one expected that Porto would lose!

Sporting Lisbon scored three points, Porto lost away, and now the points gap between the two teams has narrowed to one point again.

More importantly, the two sides met in the UEFA Cup semi-finals.

Not only is the competition for the Portuguese Super League title extremely intense, but also the right to advance to the UEFA Cup.

But time did not give the two teams much breathing room.

After playing the 27th round of the Portuguese Super League, the two teams soon ushered in the first leg of the UEFA Cup semi-finals.

This time, Sudong entered Porto's Estadio Fiorentina with eighteen Portuguese Super League goals and a quasi-Golden Boot in the Portuguese Super League.
