94 I really want to go home!

Although Madeira Island is quite small, the gym here is very professional.

According to Nuno Cruz, the professional equipment here is not even inferior to Alcocheti of Sporting Lisbon, and some are even better, such as the pneumatic functional training device Su Dong is practicing.

This training equipment that looks a bit like a four-legged monster is safer than steel weights and provides more training.

It can satisfy every part of the body, hundreds of different training methods, and even the rehabilitation training of players after injuries. It is a good hand and can be used in various sports.

To put it simply, the air resistance training device allows the user to complete training actions at any speed under a certain load, which is something that traditional weighted strength equipment cannot achieve.

Not only that, it is also equipped with an electronic watch that displays data including resistance, times, power, maximum explosive force, etc.

When Su Dong completed a set of training movements on the training machine in accordance with Nuno Cruz's requirements, the personal trainer always held a notebook and recorded the real-time data he needed next to the electronic watch at any time.

In his words, this is conducive to long-term tracking and analysis and continuous improvement of training effects.

Another relatively new one is the speed and power training platform.

As the name suggests, this is a set of equipment for horizontal and vertical explosive training of players. Players can also perform resistance training with the ball, defensive movement training, etc. It can apply resistance to players at forty different fixed points.

The rest, such as extreme climbing machines, unpowered treadmills, tire flippers and vibration trainers, are all standard equipment in professional gyms, similar to those in Sporting Lisbon.

In addition to the equipment provided by the gym, Nuno Cruz also purchased two sets of high-tech training vests for Su Dong and Ronnie, called sports performance detection and analysis systems.

Nuno Cruz clearly required them to wear vests when training, whether in the gym or outside, so that he could detect their training performance and conduct quantitative analysis on their training to truly realize big data

, reduce risks, fully tap their potential, and better help them make progress.

"Don't underestimate this vest. I asked a friend to order it from the United States. I haven't seen anyone using it in European football."

When Nuno Cruz introduced him, he was quite proud of himself.

Su Dong and Ronnie remain fresh about this high-tech product, but they don't understand it either.

But one thing is for sure, that is Nuno Cruz looks like an academic, he spends more time analyzing their physical condition and training performance.

This is probably why he defines himself as a sports performance trainer.

Su Dong and Ronnie were already accustomed to Nuno Cruz's endless high-tech training methods, but Pepe, who was stealing from the sidelines, was dumbfounded and admired.

Whether it was in Brazil or Maritimo, had he ever seen such a high-level and mysterious training?

So much so that the way Pepe looked at Nuno Cruz became very different.

According to his own frustrated statement, even if he studied secretly, it would be difficult for him to learn the real skills.

Unless Nuno Cruz is willing to train him the way he trained Sudong and Ronnie, he will just be a toddler.

However, even so, Pepe still kept his promise and became Su Dong and Ronnie's sparring partner.

…………

…………

The next few days passed very compactly and fulfillingly.

Su Dong and Ronnie get up at five o'clock every day, first put on training vests, run on the mountain road from Funchal to San Antonio, and conduct ball training in a nearby park for about an hour.

After breakfast, they will be picked up by the driver and go to a resort more than ten kilometers away to receive yoga training from Melissa. Two classes a day are fully booked.

After practicing yoga, we returned to Funchal and it was basically lunch time.

Nuno Cruz is responsible for all the meals for the two of them. He will make different recipes every day and place orders for nearby restaurants. Sometimes he will even go to the vegetable market to buy vegetables himself to ensure that the two of them have the best meals.

Nutrition is more balanced.

After the lunch break, the two of them will go to the gym to train and stay here for three hours.

After training in the gym, there is still a period of outdoor training, still running on the mountain road and playing football in the park.

Pepe has been training with Su Dong and Ronnie since the gym.

He does almost all chores and works hard without complaint. Even in the running and ball training after the gym, he is willing to be Su Dong's partner. Su Dong deliberately uses Pepe's strong body to polish his own body.

Confrontation ability.

In return, Su Dong will be responsible for Pepe's dinner.

After dinner, Ronnie either went home to spend time with his family or talked on the phone with Jordana, but Su Dong continued to learn how to swim with the swimming coach for two hours.

Since Pepe couldn't swim, and swimming lessons were relatively cheap, the Brazilian central defender signed up for the same class with Su Dong after obtaining Su Dong's consent. The two of them trained under the same swimming coach every night.

It's interesting to say that Pepe is indeed physically very strong, but he really has no talent in swimming.

On the weekend of the first week, Nuno Cruz returned to Lisbon to spend time with his family, while Sudong, Ronnie and Pepe participated in a hiking yoga retreat.

Madeira is an island formed after a volcanic eruption. The two peaks in the middle are both over 1,800 meters above sea level. The island has uneven terrain and different scenery. It is a world-famous hiking resort.

It is said that there are more than 50 hiking routes across the island.

The first time I traveled with a group, the route was the easternmost San Lorenzo pr8 line.

The scenery here is really great, but the walking is not difficult.

The bus went directly to the starting point. After departure, Su and Dong were far behind the others. The route was not long and the intensity was the smallest among the many routes. In less than an hour and a half, Su and Dong were back.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! Unfortunately, they waited at the bus stop for more than two hours.

This failed experience taught them a realistic truth, that is, as professional players, they should challenge more difficult ones instead of hiking with ordinary tour groups.

So, on the weekend of the second week, three daring teenagers each carried their own bags and started hiking from Funchal into the mountains early in the morning, heading north along the winding cement mountain roads.

Ronnie brought a mobile phone for emergency contact, Su Dong was sure to bring enough food and water, and Pepe brought a tent that could sleep three people.

In this way, they passed through the mountains and forests from Funchal, admiring the charming scenery of Madeira Island, and arrived at Faial on the north coast, and then went northwest to Santana.

After taking a short rest in Santana, the three of them turned back along the mountain road to the south and went straight to the observation deck of the highest peak on Madeira Island.

Although the mountain roads are rugged, they are all cement roads, very smooth, and can be driven by traffic.

I kept seeing shuttle buses going back and forth along the way, and I also met many tourists on foot. They were all curious about the three hiking teenagers. They were even more amazed when they heard that they came from Funchal on foot.

The three finally climbed to the highest peak of Madeira Island before sunset and saw the infinitely beautiful sunset.

That night, they camped in the open space next to the observation deck on the top of the mountain.

Night falls.

The tourists all went down the mountain.

Standing at the highest point, you can see the lights of Funchal in the distance to the south. Not far behind you is a small hotel on the observation deck, and further east on the mountainside is a hotel and parking lot.

On the winding mountain road, there will occasionally be a little light from the car lights.

But most of the time, it is so quiet here that only the sound of the mountain breeze is left.

That's the sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.

The viewing platform at night is completely different from that during the day. Under the bright moonlight, it becomes even more mysterious.

The mountains of Madeira Island crawling at its feet have become even more unpredictable, like ferocious beasts kneeling in submission, making people unable to help but feel excited in their hearts.

"I have lived here for twelve years, and this is my first time coming to this place." Ronnie said with a smile, feeling very comfortable.

Climbing high and looking into the distance, Su Dong and Pepe were equally excited.

"After we go down the mountain tomorrow, we will continue west from Santana to San Vicente on the north coast, and then go south along the mountain road from San Vicente through the mountains and forests to Tabua on the south coast. If time permits, we will

Walk back to Funchal, or if that doesn’t work, take a car.”

Ronnie has already arranged his schedule carefully.

In fact, Madeira Island is really not that big. The straight-line distance from the easternmost point to the westernmost point is fifty kilometers, and the straight-line distance from the southernmost point to the northernmost point is twenty kilometers.

Although it is said to be a detour through the mountains, it is actually a cement road and is very easy to walk.

This is a bit of a challenge for Su Dong and the other three professional players, but it’s really not that big.

"I suggest that next week we go hiking around the island along the south coast." Su Dong suggested eagerly.

"I agree!" Pepe was the first to express his opinion.

"Of course I have no problem." Ronnie agreed readily.

After the three of them formally reached an agreement, they sat and chatted outside the tent for a while.

Ronnie, the youngest, couldn't bear it anymore and was the first to say that he was going to bed.

Su Dong and Peipei continued to sit outside the tent, looking at the stars in the night sky and the bright moon, with mixed feelings in their hearts.

Su Dong thought of his family.

He hasn't been home for more than a year and hasn't seen his parents. He doesn't know how they are doing now.

My parents’ dream of buying a house for many years has probably come true, right?

Is their job still that hard?

As he thought about it, Su Dong's nose felt a little sore.

Pepe next to her remained silent, staring blankly at the moon.

I don’t know how long I watched, but the Brazilian suddenly broke the silence and said with sadness, "I really want to go home!"

Su Dong turned his head and saw Pepe who was wiping his eyes with his hand.

At this moment, how can he be as tough as a mad dog on the court?

He looks more like a wanderer who misses his hometown and his relatives.
