Chapter 44 Zhengde Temple

In the Five Buddha Hall, Li Huowang saw Abbot Xinhui again. This time he was no longer alone. There were four old monks sitting in a row behind him.

"Since he is here, Xuanyang Almsgiver, let's make a long story short. We need to do a Purdue Fast to save him."

"Okay, abbot, let's get started." Li Huowang said immediately.

"Be at ease, Xuanyang Donor, the cause and effect of Danyangzi lies with you. Before we can perform this ritual, you need to calm down before we can begin."

"Meditate?" Li Huowang was confused.

"Amitabha, donor, your heart is very restless and your heart is sick."

Before the abbot finished speaking, Li Huowang quickly retorted in a stern tone, "I'm not sick!"

As soon as these words came out of his mouth, Li Huowang was shocked by his own volume.

Seeing the five old monks in front of him looking at him meaningfully, Li Huowang took a deep breath and clenched his trembling fists. "May I ask the abbot, what should I do to meditate?"

A yellow-covered sutra was delivered to Li Huowang, "Take this Sutra of The Five Aggregates Are Empty with you and recite it three times a day in the morning, noon and evening."

Li Huowang took it and opened the scripture. It was full of unfamiliar Buddhist scriptures, and he couldn't understand the meaning at all.

"Just recite it? No exercises? No need to eat anything?" Such a simple step is far lower than Li Huowang's conjecture.

Seeing Abbot Xinhui shaking his head, Li Huowang picked up the scripture and started to walk out. Just when he was about to reach the door, he turned around and looked at the old monks sitting cross-legged on the tuanfu.

"Abbot Xinhui, is there any practice technique in Zhengde Temple?"

"Of course there is. As long as the donor is willing to become a monk and join this temple, he can read it at will in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion."

Hearing this, Li Huowang turned around and left. There was no way he could become a monk.

"Donor Xuanyang, please stay in this temple during this period. Running around like this will cause trouble to us as well."

This time Li Huowang did not refuse. Since he believed the other party, being wary of this would make him look stingy.

An independent wing in Zhengde Temple was sorted out, and Li Huowang stayed here quietly and looked at the scriptures he had sent.

In the first few days, Li Huowang was a little nervous, but he gradually felt relieved when he found that no one in the entire temple cared about him. Even if he ran to the bustling main hall and saw the monk interpreting the signature, no one paid any attention.

Late at night, accompanied by an oil lamp, Li Huowang held this sutra in his hands and recited it. "My life has ended. My holy life has been established... What I have done has been done, and there is no future. When I preached this Dharma. Five

Bi Cu and so on. From all the troubles, the mind can be liberated. Believe, accept and practice..."

When he first recited the so-called "Five Aggregates Are Empty Sutra", Li Huowang didn't feel anything. However, as each day passed and he found that his sleep quality was getting better and better, he realized that this thing was really useful.

After reciting it calmly, Li Huowang slowly closed the book, blew out the oil lamp and prepared to go to sleep. He began to think about what he had to do next.

"After Danyangzi is eliminated, let's go find Hei Taisui. If my condition can be stabilized, then I can live stably in this world."

"But that Black Tai Sui looks quite fierce. If I really catch it, how should I restrain it and cut off its flesh every month?"

"By the way, there is still strength. We must obtain enough strength to protect ourselves, but this is also difficult to do."

Just when Li Huowang thought about this, he suddenly saw the shadow of a person's head flashing past the door, and his body instantly tensed up.

"Someone is watching me in the temple?" Li Huowang slowed down, walked slowly to the door, and opened the latch.

He suddenly opened a crack and found that the small courtyard illuminated by the moonlight was deserted. Li Huowang carefully poked his head out and found that in the distance, a corner of the yellow monk's robe was quickly dragged into the dark corridor.

"What is this temple doing?" Li Huowang thought for a moment, then slowed down and followed.

After walking a few steps, Li Huowang saw the bald head in front of him through the moonlight. He couldn't see the front from behind, but there were no ring scars, so it could be seen that his status in Zhengde Temple was not high.

In this way, in the silent temple, one person walked in front and the other followed at a distance.

As we were walking, the monk suddenly flashed out of the way and slipped into the crack of the ajar door next to him.

Li Huowang was about to get in, but after thinking about it, he turned to the other side of the temple, dipped his hand in some saliva and poked through the paper window.

Compared with the Five Buddha Hall where the abbot stayed, this hall is not big, and can even be said to be very narrow. The Bodhisattva inside is much smaller than a human being.

Even the candles on the altar were only lit with two candles, making the whole hall very dark.

At this time, someone was kneeling in front of the Buddha, but it was not the monk who had just entered, but a woman.

"Woman? In the temple at night?"

Before Li Huowang could figure out the problem, the woman began to read in a low voice.

"O Great Merciful and Compassionate Bodhisattva, please give me a son. If I don't have another son, my man will sell me."

Just as she was saying these words, a naked monk walked up quietly from the back of the Bodhisattva.

A piece of red cloth was pulled by him and gently tied the woman's eyes.

The woman's body trembled violently but she didn't resist, and her breathing gradually became heavier.

As she breathed and breathed, seven or eight bald heads walked out of the surrounding darkness, slowly surrounding her with their hands clasped together.

"This is the truth about how effective it is to ask for a child?!" Li Huowang was stunned when he saw everything inside, subverting all his previous understanding of Zhengde Temple

Suddenly he noticed something, turned around suddenly, and saw Jian Chaos standing there like a sculpture under the bright moonlight in the courtyard. "Discovered!"

Looking at Li Huowang, Jianchuan didn't say anything, just waved his hand gently and turned away.

Glancing again at the chaos that had begun in the palace, Li Huowang followed him gently.

Jian Chuan did not take Li Huowang elsewhere, but brought him back to his residence, then lit the lamp oil and sat down on the stool.

"I know what the donor is thinking. Maybe he thinks that the monks of Zhengde Temple are impure? But the donor really thinks that those pilgrims are fools? Why do they come to worship Buddha so late at night?"

Li Huowang stood at the door without speaking, waiting for the other party to continue.

"If someone wants a son, we will give him a son. Monks are compassionate and do good deeds."

Hearing this, Li Huowang couldn't help but frowned. "Then you have done quite a lot of good deeds."

"No disciples of Zhengde Temple have ever said that their Bodhisattva's prayer for a child is miraculous. This is all propagated by pilgrims spontaneously. We didn't tell them and they didn't ask."
