But real life makes it impossible for me to play games and continue to protect our Azeroth.
So I wanted to write a novel, and write some fantasies that I had thought about before - novels about what would happen if I went to that world.
Around 2012, I wrote my first novel. I wrote it on another website. The name of the book is "Sunlight of Warcraft". I wrote almost one million words and didn't make a penny. It was purely
of generating electricity for love.
Then I started running around for a living, and never continued my literary dream again.
But I have always liked watching Warcraft fanfiction and fantasized about going on adventures in that world...
Later, there was a second novel, which is the current one.
To be honest, when I started this New Empire of Azeroth, I was just writing it with no intention of making any money. I couldn’t find any good fans, so I thought of writing one myself.
I didn't expect anyone to read it, so I wrote it down slowly.
However, just because I didn’t think too much at the beginning, although the viscosity was good later, the results were average.
When it was put on the shelves, I remember it had more than 3,000 collections, more than 400 first orders, and it was a hit. In the first month, more than 300,000 words were updated, and I made less than 1,000 yuan.
At that time, the work was easy and free, and although I didn't have much money, I had to write it down because of my hobby.
So there were a lot of updates at the beginning, an average of 10,000 words a day, and I remember updating 30,000 words a day at most.
Maybe because there are fewer and fewer people writing about Warcraft fandom, my novel has been read by quite a few people, and with the large number of updates, I can earn up to 10,000 yuan a month in manuscript fees...
Then I quit my job and started a business, then I encountered the epidemic, then my fish pond business failed, and then I went to Zhuhai to have a barbecue and it failed again...
I was too greedy. I wanted to write a magnificent world and wanted to write too many things. In the end, I couldn't write anything well.
I failed to start a business twice in a year, and now I am very passive. After I started again, I had a chat with the editor.
The editor told me very clearly: If I want to make money by writing novels, I have no choice but to reopen. New Empire has been discontinued for too long and has no full attendance, no half-year awards, and no recommendations.
Not having these means that I could get 100 yuan for writing 10,000 words, but now I can only get 60 yuan at most for writing 10,000 words.
I also want to live, especially now that my wife is just pregnant with her second child...
Therefore, I really can’t hold on to this book anymore…
I also thought about writing a concluding ending to prevent the book from ending abruptly. But sitting in front of the computer, I found that I couldn't write anything.
It’s not that there’s nothing to write about, it’s that there are too many things to write about.
In addition, the new book I am preparing is also a Warcraft fan, so I might as well revise the things I haven’t finished yet and add them to the new book.
The new empire is a warrior protagonist, and the system is a god-like empire flow.
The new book has a mage protagonist, and it is going to be a mage, noble, lord, and farming style like "Azeroth in Another World".
