Chapter 11: Sudden Prosperity (Part 1)

Chapter 11: Sudden success (Part 1)

Arthur groped for a long time in the base, fearfully walking through the long and deep steel corridors.

There were many patrolling knights along the way. They watched indifferently as this humble young servant walked by without paying any attention. If they had seen a servant walking through a restricted area like the base in normal times, the knights would have long ago

Arthur was intercepted and questioned.

Maybe he was paranoid? In Arthur's eyes, the looks of the knights who passed by him became strange, as if they were all laughing at him.

How many people had watched his fights in the simulation training room? How many people had laughed at his stupid behavior and clumsy fighting? It makes me feel ashamed just thinking about it.

He shook his head and tried to put away these thoughts in his mind. Maybe things were not as bad as he imagined. The young man tried his best to avoid the patrolling knights along the way. After a lot of effort, he finally groped his way back.

Your own dormitory.

"Arthur, are you finally back?" As soon as he opened the door and entered, the blond boy Lancelot turned to look at Arthur and asked worriedly: "Do you know that Richard is looking for you everywhere like crazy?!"

"I don't want to meddle with his business for the time being." Arthur lay tiredly on the bed, "If he comes, tell him to talk to his father. I've had enough of messing around with the father and son."

"Huh? What are you talking about in your sleep? Do you really think that a nobody like you will have a chance to be received by the head of the Knights?" Lancelot was about to make fun of Arthur, but when he looked back, the boy was already asleep.

Despite this, Lancelot still complained to the sleeping Arthur: "You are always like this, turning a deaf ear to other people's words. Why did I become friends with an arrogant person like you?"

Although he said this, Lancelot's mind kept flashing back to the scene when he and Arthur first met. The boy in the slums was looking at the nobleman with a determined look.

The piercing black eyes of the blond boy Arthur can leave a deep impression on anyone's mind. Those eyes seem to be able to radiate light, whether the light is angry fire or something else.

Viscount Richard would buy a weak and useless slave like Arthur back from the slave traders. Perhaps it has something to do with these piercing eyes?

On the other side of the world, in the endless darkness.

The woman sat quietly on her throne, her eyes glowing with a strange red light.

"Darkness has begun to form." She said in a low voice, "Soon, the balance of this world will be broken. When the light of the world becomes the most dazzling, our dark dependents will sweep the whole world."

"He who inherits the barrier, come here. The place where the sun rises is where you really shine. The end of the world is your grave."

The gears of fate have begun to turn.

"Ah!" Young Arthur woke up with a start, his forehead already covered with big beads of sweat.

"That voice! Could it be..."

the next day.

The young man was woken up by a rapid knock on the door. He wondered: Today is obviously a holiday, so why don't you have to serve Richard even on a holiday?

When Arthur opened the door of the dormitory, what he saw was not Richard's angry face, but a thin knight. Judging from his epaulettes, he was a bronze knight, responsible for delivering orders.

"Servant No. 122 Arthur Kelton," Chivalry said, "Please go to the third conference room in the east wing immediately."

"I know..." Arthur said.

"What's wrong? That guy Richard is causing trouble for you? Is he planning to fire you?" Lancelot got up from the bed and asked worriedly.

"It would be nice if that were the case." Arthur replied absentmindedly to his roommate. Only he knew the meaning behind this sentence.
