007, find my faith

"That was the first time I asked for leave." Lu Yang said every word.

After three years in the army, he successfully entered the Marine Corps, became a member of the frogmen, and even participated in an actual combat.

Then, when he took a week off, he used the allowance he had saved over the years to meet his girlfriend, whom he had not seen for three years.

His girlfriend, who was just a senior in college, was not at all happy after seeing him. She took him to a coffee shop near the school and said she wanted to talk.

That was a conversation that impressed him so far.

There was no mention of breaking up, no third party involved, but there were many unstable factors.

If I were to sum it up, it should be - his girlfriend doesn't want him to be a soldier.

This was the first time she expressed her feelings, and of course, it was also the last time.

She felt that his profession was meaningless. It was just like any other ordinary profession. Not only was it hard work, but the income was minimal.

He tried very hard to explain that it was meaningful for them to do this business. They could protect the country and the people and could do many things. They were really not what she thought and it was meaningless.

However, he didn't know how to express himself, and the top student in front of him spoke so well and so well-founded that he was speechless.

Finally, she asked him, 'If you need to kill someone to defend your country, will you kill it too?'

Lu Yang was completely silent.

This question undoubtedly left him no room for refutation after he had just completed his mission.

He didn't even dare to assume.

My girlfriend didn’t know, so she analyzed it unscrupulously——

"Being a soldier, killing people, when your hands are stained with blood, what is the difference between you and a murderer? Your profession just makes killing legal."

What else she said after that, Lu Yang had no intention of listening anymore.

He only knows that in his girlfriend's theory, he has become a dangerous murderer.

So, at the end of that conversation, they naturally broke up.

"Later, I tried hard to convince myself that even if I had blood on my hands, I killed people, but they deserved it. I killed the people who deserved to be killed and protected many people at the same time." Lu Yang raised his head, his eyes gradually became firmer,

Those eyes that should have been cold-blooded were filled with tenderness. He squeezed out a smile towards Mo Shangyun, "I often had nightmares at that time, and I still have nightmares from time to time, but, you know, when people have faith,

If you have a reason to persevere, you will feel more at ease.”

Mo Shangyun listened quietly.

Finally, she looked directly into Lu Yang's eyes and asked, almost in a cautious tone that she had never seen before: "Do you still have your faith?"

Lu Yang froze.

He looked at Mo Shangyun, those eyes seemed to be able to see through people's hearts, leaving them with nowhere to hide.

He smiled weakly at Mo Shangyun, and then avoided the heart-stopping gaze.

Mo Shangyun was silent for a moment, looked away, and didn't ask any more questions.

No need to think about it, with Lu Yang's current appearance, he seems to have no reason to persist.

That's right, he has already left the army.

Mo Shangyun thought, in fact, Lu Yang didn't tell for the sake of telling. He just noticed that she was different, so he wanted to tell her that she could find a belief, an existence that would stop her from continuing like this.

However, Lu Yang couldn't find a suitable way, so he could only use this method, cut himself in half, and then tell her from his personal experience.

Mo Shangjun felt that he should say thank you, but he also felt that he did not care about this thank you, so he thought about it again and again, but did not say this thank you.

*

When night fell, the police came to take notes. As one of the abducted parties, Mo Shangjun cooperated honestly.

The police saw that she was injured and that she had dealt with the knife-wielding gangster on her own, so they didn't ask any more questions and just went through the process and left.

In the evening, An Yi delivered dinner and brought a bag to Mo Shangjun. The two looked at each other tacitly, and then Mo Shangjun hurriedly ate his dinner and took the bag into the bathroom.

Because he injured his leg, it took Mo Shangjun half an hour to come out, and Lu Yang didn't become suspicious.

When Mo Shangjun came out again, An Yi had already left.

When Lu Yang saw Mo Shangjun, his jaw almost dropped.

Mo Shangjun took off his loose hospital gown and put on a set of casual clothes, a white T-shirt, black trousers, and a black baseball cap. He only wore one sneaker because it was wrapped into a rice dumpling.

The left foot cannot fit through the other.

She no longer sat in a wheelchair, but limped to the wall and picked up the crutches that had been prepared in advance.

Under Lu Yang's dumbfounded gaze, she tried the feel of the crutch, thinking that she might have some use for it one day.

"where did you go?"

Seeing Mo Shangjun walking toward the door, Lu Yang came to his senses from seeing a ghost and subconsciously asked Mo Shangjun.

Mo Shangyun strode to the door, raised his hand and grabbed the door handle, then turned back to look at Lu Yang, curled his lips and said with a smile: "Look for my faith."

After she finished speaking, she opened the door.

When she was about to go out, she paused, raised her finger to her lips, and made a "shh" gesture towards Lu Yang.

Lu Yang looked at her silently, not knowing what to say at all.

By the time he thought of at least telling her to pay attention to her safety, Mo Shangjun had already left the door and closed the door behind her - without giving him a chance to give her final instructions.

In this way, Mo Shangyun 'escaped'.

Wearing casual clothes, walking out of the hospital couldn't be more smooth.

However, returning to the time when he was living alone in a double ward, Lu Yang thought with some regret, feeling a little uncomfortable.
