Chapter 6 Dreamland

The brisk melody of the violin is accompanied by the tinkling of the piano. In the distance, there are melodious chants of sirens. Nearby, there is a nymph in a gauze holding a fruit plate. There is a light white mist under the feet, surrounded by beautiful people in beautiful clothes.

Wizards and wizards in robes.

Everyone had a reserved and polite smile on their face, holding a tall wine glass in their hands, filled with golden amber light.

Zheng Qing listened to the distant and ethereal singing with fascination. The songs of the sirens are very famous even in the world of ordinary people, but this is not the main reason for his daze. At this moment, he is in a trance, more because of the sirens.

Their singing gave him a very familiar feeling.

I seem to have heard it somewhere.

Slow, smooth, and then turns high. The tune seems to be full of indescribable hope, but also contains infinite sadness, which makes people feel the urge to cry.

Ding!

The crisp sound of clinking glasses woke Zheng Qing from his meditation. A pale witch looked at the young wizard with a smile: "Laputa's music is like the paintings of Atlantis, it always makes people addicted...

Although this piece of music is very nice, I must admit that it is inappropriate for an occasion like today."

"Laputa?" Zheng Qing muttered, repeating the word.

"The legendary 'City in the Sky'," the witch glanced at him curiously: "The silent paradise, the holy land of alchemists, the home of magical plants and ancient creatures."

A picture suddenly appeared in Zheng Qing's mind, a huge chestnut-like island floating in the white clouds and blue sky. At the same time, he finally realized where that strange feeling of familiarity came from.

The song the sirens sing is the theme song of Castle in the Sky.

But why did the witch say that this piece of music was inappropriate for this occasion? What occasion was this? As soon as this thought passed through Zheng Qing's mind, the surrounding scenes immediately smoothly transitioned into another scene.

Wizards and wizards holding goblets came from all directions, crowded around Zheng Qing, and clinked glasses with him. Everyone had a proud and lucky look on their face.

There seemed to be many people boasting about his achievements, but it was so blurry that no one could be heard clearly. Zheng Qing could only shake hands with them, thank them, pat each other's shoulders and arms, and immerse himself in the joyful atmosphere with everyone.

:

"Thanks."

"Thank you so much."

"That's what I should do, thank you."

"No, no, no, I only made a small contribution...thank you."

"Nice to see you...thank you, thank you."

The sound of clinking glasses was accompanied by the blessings of the guests, enveloping the wizard and rushing towards the rostrum. A circle of colorful morning glory was placed around the rostrum, and as the stamens vibrated, soothing piano music flowed out.

The background of the rostrum is a red curtain, which is the color of Jiuyou College. Many symbols can be vaguely seen on the curtain, including the school emblem of First University, the emblem of Jiuyou College, the Order of Merlin, and the seal of the Major Arcana.

The team emblem of the Sin Hunting Team, etc., are inlaid with gold and silver, shining brightly on the rostrum.

A witch wearing a bright red floor-length dress stood on the podium, applauding with everyone, smiling and looking at the helpless young wizard who was surrounded on the stage, took two steps forward, opened her arms, okay

A simple face-to-face gift.

Zheng Qing felt dizzy and stood up straight. After taking a closer look, he noticed that the host was Su Shijun.

At this moment, the senators of the Yuexia Parliament were already holding his shoulders, standing with him, facing the dense crowd of guests in the audience. They were like geese waiting to be fed, stretching their necks, focusing without losing sight of the audience.

He stared politely at the young wizard on the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Victory Day celebration award ceremony."

"The young wizard standing next to me should be familiar to everyone - a publicly funded student at the First University, the recipient of the Order of Merlin, the owner of the title of the Major Arcana 'World', and the captain of the Exorcist Hunting Team.

,Classmate Zheng Qing.”

"Today, he has gained a new glory: the enemy of the Dark Council!"

"When I signed a contract with classmate Zheng Qing in the 2D Evolution Laboratory and cut off his shadow, I never thought that his shadow could grow to this extent."

"In the Black Prison, classmate Zheng Qing, together with his shadow, killed a member of the Dark Parliament, the senior wizard Sekebo from the ancient Druid organization, on the battlefield, effectively safeguarding the majesty of the Wizards Alliance!

"

"This is a victory for classmate Zheng Qing!"

"This is even more of an honor for First University!"

The audience immediately burst into overwhelming applause.

Occasionally mixed with the screams of witches and whistles of wizards.

There was a bit of panic in Zheng Qing's eyes, a stiff smile on his face, and he waved his arms vigorously, trying to reject this honor: "No, no, that thing has nothing to do with me, it was all done by that shadow... It is related to

The department cat, if you don’t believe me, ask it!”

As he spoke, he stamped his feet vigorously, urging his shadow to come out and admit it quickly.

But the pitch-black shadow under his feet was like a puddle of sticky ink, spreading silently on the soles of his feet, completely unlike the usual noisiness and activity.

Su Shijun raised his arm and pressed down.

The applause and cheers suddenly became much quieter.

She hugged Zheng Qing's shoulders, and the rich fragrance made the young wizard immediately forget about his previous excuse, and put a silly smile on his face again.

At the same time, the witch's brisk voice once again spread in all directions through the colorful morning glory. Perhaps because of the defective quality of the morning glory, the witch's voice appeared strangely distorted in the transmission:

"...When I interviewed classmate Zheng Qing on behalf of the Beta Town Post, I saw through his eyes a soul full of ambition and power, cold, outstanding, and extraordinary."

"As his achievements in the Black Prison Battlefield spread, it further proved the conclusion I reached in that interview: Jiuyou Academy's rigid education methods, dangerous education content, and harsh examination mechanism not only suppressed the students

His freedom and nature have also cultivated a large number of wizards who have no regard for life!"

"It's just that under the cover of gorgeous achievements, these dangers are like shadows in the sun, deliberately ignored by the public..."

The cheers from the audience gradually died down, and the wizards and witches whispered to each other, casting strange glances at the stage from time to time.

The more Zheng Qing listened, the more something was wrong. When he turned his head, Su Shijun beside him suddenly turned into Ms. Pulitzer - the reporter from the Beta Town Post who once interviewed him in Beta Town.

At this moment, a layer of excited blush appeared on her thin cheeks, and her thin lips were like two sharp blades, cutting into Zheng Qing's aura wantonly.

Her hands were like the talons of an eagle, tightly gripping the young wizard's shoulder blades, preventing him from moving.
