Chapter six hundred and thirty-first
To practice Taoism, one must cultivate quietness. It is not about using acquired utilitarian minds to play tricks or make trouble. Those who do not root themselves in emptiness and quietness are evil techniques, and those who do not return to the simplicity are sidetracks.
Therefore, when practicing Taoism, one must practice "emptiness and tranquility" and "retaining the spirit". When ordinary people speak, their energy is to release their energy through their minds, consume energy, and "exiting death"; but people are not practicing Taoism, and practicing Taoism is to receive, and they are to restrain the spirit. Therefore, when "exit", foreigners release it to death; if they "enter", they will return to old age and return to their children, which is the function of "retrospective".
Only by cultivating tranquility is to practice Taoism, and only by looking back can one live forever. People will talk about how to revisit the immortality. In fact, the so-called cultivation of Taoism is to practice the word quiet, and the word "return" is to use the word "return".
There were real people in ancient times who lifted the heaven and earth, grasped the yin and yang, exhaled the qi, and guarded the spirit independently. The muscles were as one, so they could live a long life and cover the heaven and earth without a lasting time.
This is the mind and courage of people to practice Taoism and their pursuit of goals, and it is also their method of practicing Taoism.
Yujian's great-grandmother is a wizard. She can treat medical treatment and deliver children. Her grandfather even said that she has the ability to "spiritualize" and can talk to gods and ghosts. She is a very mysterious person anyway.
Later, someone found a dying dragon, so he came to carry her to see what was going on.
The scent of the divine object is very strong, not all fishy and grassy. When the body rots, it becomes even more aggressive. It is said that everyone in the villages can smell the fishy smell.
Grandpa said that his great-grandmother ignored the inconvenience of her little feet, looked at the dragon's blood-red eyes in the muddy reed pond, touched the scales, and touched them from beginning to end.
She felt that the dragon vein was still open, so she touched it again, saying that the dragon had been sealed, and it might have violated the Heavenly Rule and was tortured and killed, and was sealed before the lower realm.
One was afraid that he would harm the creatures in the world, and the other was afraid that he would roar and disturb the people. At that time, people were surprised why such a loud dragon sounded smaller than a cow, and it seemed like a sound stuck in his throat.
My great-grandmother said she couldn't live long, but no matter what, she was a divine object and the people should do their best. Later, some "immortals" came one after another, and they all considered it to be dragons.
People were busy, watering the dragon's body and setting up shade sheds, because the dragon's skin had begun to dry and rot, and great-grandmother said that they were all wounds of torture, and later invited Taoist priests to do rituals.
Before the dragon appeared, it rained for forty-two consecutive days, and many fish and shrimps in the Liaohe River died. It was possible that the dragon's actions caused the heavenly punishment. Later, after a heavy rain, the dragon disappeared.
Later, someone found rotten bones in the reed pond, and someone went to pick dragon bones around him. This time Yu Jian's great-grandmother did not go. She said that collecting dragon bones is quite complicated, and it will transform if mortals get it, which is no different from the usual cow bones and horse bones.
There is a craftsman in the city who is very good at crafting paper. Everyone calls him Yao Qianshu. His wife has never given birth to a man or a woman for him. He often says: In this life, there is no child or daughter, and he is free and easy.
Yao Qianshu's daily life is quite regular. He slept until he woke up naturally every day, then went for a hiking walk, and went to the underworld shop in the afternoon, and greeted guests while building grass men. Although life was free, he felt boring over time. Until one day, he found another way of living.
After a while that day, Yao Qianshu went to climb the mountain. Halfway through, he saw a few children fighting. When he walked over, he saw that there were several orphans snatching a pear.
Yao Qianshu felt very uncomfortable when he saw that they were all unkempt and had ragged clothes. Then he took some shell coins for several children, bought five pears each, and told them: If you are hungry in the future, go to Yao's underworld shop to find him.
In the afternoon, Yao Qianshu went to the shop and saw a few children standing at the door from afar. Yao Qianshu led them into the shop. In this way, the children formed an indissoluble bond with Yao Qianshu.
A few years passed in a blink of an eye, and several children also took him as their teacher. One afternoon, Yao Qianshu was tying a straw man, and an old man came to the shop. He looked about 60 years old. Before Yao Qianshu could speak, the old man spoke first: he wanted to tying a straw man maid and burn it to his deceased wife.
Seeing that he was dressed in extraordinary clothes and should be a wealthy family, Yao Qianshu said, "No problem, I can tie it up at night. Where is your mansion? I will find someone to send it to the mansion tomorrow?"
After hearing this, the old man did not answer him, but stared at him for a long time and sighed again.
Yao Qianshu asked in confusion: "Why did this master sigh when he saw me?"
The old man said, "I see that your steps are floating and your breath is disordered. This is a sign that your soul leaves your body. I'm afraid your deadline is coming."
After hearing this, Yao Qianshu felt that this man was a liar, so he said lukewarmly: "Since the number of days has been determined, I have nothing to worry about. He said that, and brought a stack of wooden slips with people of various shapes on it, and asked the old man what kind of maid he looked like.
After turning over a few pieces, the old man chose the paper man's appearance. Yao Qianshu said: "Okay, leave the address and find someone to send it to you tomorrow."
The old man said, "I will pick it up in three days. They still have something to do! Give it to you first." After that, the old man left.
The old man's words made Yao Qianshu very puzzled. He could do it tonight, so why did he have to wait for three days? He also said that they had something to do, and were they referring to the straw man?
Yao Qianshu became more and more confused as he thought about it. He simply stopped thinking about it and started to prick the drafter.
Two days passed soon. At night, Yao Qianshu was about to go for a walk. As soon as one foot crossed the threshold, he suddenly felt dark in front of him and fell to the ground.
In a daze, Yao Qianshu heard a sound of iron chains dragging on the ground, but it got closer and closer. When he opened his eyes, he saw two figures coming to him, wearing black and white clothes, stretching out his long tongue, one of which said to seek life on his head, and the other said to chase the soul.
Yao Qianshu felt a sudden sigh of heart and thought: "Isn't this what people often say about black and white impermanence? Is that old man said true? Am I really dead?" Just as he thought of getting up, he found that his body was floating up. Seeing himself on the ground, he knew that he was really dead.
At this time, Hei Bai Wuchang took the life and death book and compared it for a while, then tied the iron chain to him and pulled him out.
At this time, a strange noise came from the room, and then a group of people rushed out and blocked the way. Yao Qianshu saw carefully that it was the ten maids the old man wanted.
Hei Bai Wuchang was angry and started fighting with them with the mourning stick in his hand. After a fight, Hei Bai Wuchang was subdued by them. At this time, a straw man spoke: "Long time no see you two. Let me give you a thin face tonight and let him go! This person has adopted several orphans and has done many good things. Let him live for a few more years!"
Yao Qianshu turned around and saw that it was the old man. Hei Wuchang said, "Yu Banxian, you can think clearly. When the King of Hell blames him, you have to bear this matter."
The old man said: Don't worry! I have an old acquaintance with the King of Hell, and he can understand it."
Then the black and white impermanence disappeared, Yao Qianshu slowly woke up and found that ten grass men remained motionless, everything was like a dream, but it was too real.
On the third day, the old man found a few people to get the straw man. Yao Qianshu hurriedly asked about the old man's identity. The person who came said that the old man was a Taoist priest named Yu Banxian, who specialized in yin and yang. That day, he saw that Yao Qianshu was about to die and knew that he had done a lot of good things and adopted a few orphans. He couldn't bear to let him die, so he controlled the straw man to save his life and let him live for a few more years.
In the Taoist cognition, "My life is in my mind, not in heaven." After hard work, people can independently control everything they have.
In addition to the strong space for sublimation in the spirit, the human body can also achieve qualitative improvement through its own practice.
In order to pursue this state, Taoist priests of all generations have summarized countless cultivation methods and theories. While improving themselves, they also need to help the world.
If you want to become an immortal, you must first attain enlightenment.
"Tao" is the eternal and unchanging law of the world. Only by integrating with Tao and saving the world and the people can people gain great wisdom.
In other words, cherishing life, healthy and longevity are both the starting point and the ultimate goal of practicing Taoism.
The most fundamental point of becoming an immortal is to fundamentally get rid of the limitations and limitations of human beings. Taoism believes that human beings are the unity of form, energy, and spirit. On this basis, Taoism uses traditional Chinese medicine theory to complete a comprehensive grasp of the various parts of the human body and their mutual relationships. A person's life journey is divided into several distinct stages: innate Qi, fetus, infants, children, adults, death or immortality.
If you want to become an immortal, you must first use good character such as loyalty, filial piety, integrity and righteousness. If your character is not up to standard and you only work hard on art, you will not be able to touch the corner of the immortal's clothes.
Based on his own practice experience and theory, the Taoist priests of the Jindan School put forward the conclusion that they must first cultivate merits if they want to refine inner alchemy, directly linking human immortality with merits, which greatly reversed the practice phenomenon that only cares about one's own practice and ignores inner morality.
Later, the cultivation of inner alchemy was placed in the necessary position of cultivating immortals, and advocated the dual cultivation of life and life.
Nature refers to the human mind and nature, and life refers to the human body. Dual cultivation means working hard to sublimate the two at the same time, striving to understand the mind and see the nature, and be healthy and long-lasting.
Because human life is a dual fusion of spirit and flesh, it is necessary to have mutual influence and effect between the two, which are both different and tend to be unified. Therefore, when cultivating immortals, you cannot neglect either side.
People should not be too persistent and should not practice with too much fun. While paying attention to the methods of cultivation, they should also let things go and not be bound by too many selfish desires. Only by entering the state of selflessness can they finally attain enlightenment. They should not be blind, otherwise they will be extremely easy to get possessed.
It is best to have some fellow Taoists who support each other and fight back together when evil demons and heretics invade.
There are many ways to cultivate immortals in Taoism, and there are many requirements, and many precepts and teachings must be followed. In any case, as long as you comply with the laws of heaven and do your best, people can always reach their ideal state. (To be continued)
