7. Back to New York【12/100】
"Rumbling"
At dusk and when night comes, a black helicopter lands at the agent base in Nevada.
Merlin waved to the man who was flying the helicopter and said to Colson behind him:
"Come with these two people and come with me."
Upon hearing this, the rookie Colson immediately pushed up the trolley in his hand. On the trolley, the awakened Scolu were tied up with chains, and next to the alien, there was a strange and extremely embarrassed guy in a strange coma.
That's Kohler.
The real Kohler.
Merlin and Colson returned to the agent base. In front of several base supervisors, he contacted Alexander Pierce, who was far away in Washington, and then with Pierce's power, Merlin took over the base in a short time.
Hundreds of people began a large-scale search. After spending half an hour, they finally found the unconscious Kohler in a hidden utility room.
The unlucky incompetent person should have been knocked out by the Scolus in some way, and then borrowed his identity, deceived all the agents in the base, and made a mess of the Pagasos base.
Pierce asked Merlin to take Kohler back to New York and the alien who was captured alive must also be sent back together.
To this end, Pierce generously agreed to Merlin's request for support.
He used his authority to transfer the helper he needed most for Merlin.
"Clint, long time no see!"
In the wind brought by the helicopter propeller, Merlin jumped into the helicopter, first greeted Agent Hawkeye Patton who was flying the helicopter, and then looked back at Natasha, the black widow sitting in the back row, with a bored face.
These two are his acquaintances and have strong combat power. They can help a lot in the subsequent matters.
"Natasha, she looks good."
Merlin smiled at the Black Widow, who glared at him and said in an unhappy tone:
"Because of your request, I will get up in the middle of the night and fly over half of the Atlantic to this ghost place. Maybe I have to work hard. Merlin, you are becoming more and more like Fury now, and it is becoming more and more annoying!"
"Don't say that, Natasha."
Merlin smiled and said to Black Widow:
"This is not free. I promise you that after the trouble is over, I will go to Europe to buy you those 'cute gadgets'."
"real?"
Natasha stared at Merlin, her tone became relaxed, she bounced her finger and said:
"Buy more this time, that thing is great to use. Cosmetics, that's a woman's best friend."
"No problem! I will set off immediately when the mission is over."
Merlin agreed and then took Colson to the helicopter.
The unconscious Kohler was okay. Although this guy was annoying, he was still a human being after all. The Scoru guy tied up was a little scary.
These things are rare after all. Even the Agent Patton who was flying the plane, who was always indifferent, couldn't help but look back frequently and look at the tied guy with a surprised look. The Black Widow was eager to pull out the dagger and touch the strange skin of the Scroog in front of her. She said to Merlin:
"Is this an alien? Or some kind of alien that I don't know?"
"It's the first."
Merlin reached out to close the helicopter's hatch, and then said to Natasha and Agent Patton with a serious expression:
"That's why I asked Chief Pierce to send the best agents. This time the situation is serious. As far as I know, in addition to this Scoru people, there is another alien race that is very likely to land on Earth. Chief Pierce positioned this as an 's' level event, even in the history of the Strategic Science Legion, this situation is rare."
"So a war?"
Agent Patton whispered to New York in the dark, while taking off:
"Where is Fury now?"
“He is in another place.”
Merlin said:
"It's likely that the war will begin. So we have to hurry up."
"What about him?"
Natasha looked at Kohler in a coma on the other seat, she said:
"Why did you bring this guy with you? Is there anything else he has to do besides sabotage?"
"He."
Merlin glanced at the embarrassed Khloe, a light flashed in his eyes, and he said:
"He is the opportunity! The opportunity we have been waiting for"
Merlin didn't point out this, but Patton and Natasha were both keen minds, and they almost immediately understood what Merlin meant.
In this dark cabin, the three agents laughed meaningfully at the same time.
This made the rookie agent Colson, who sat aside and tried hard to reduce his presence, somewhat unclear.
He didn't know these things, and he didn't dare to ask them on his own initiative, so he could only watch the three big guys chatting and laughing. This busy and weird day was indeed a bit too exciting for a newcomer like Colson. The continuous reversal incident made him feel tired.
So after more than ten minutes, Agent Colson leaned on his seat and fell asleep in the long flight of the night.
"Hey, noob!"
It seemed like a long time later, and only a few minutes later, Colson was awakened from his sleep. He raised his head and found that the helicopter had landed, and Merlin was reaching out to slap his face.
"What's the matter? Sir."
Colson looked out the window blankly. It was almost dawn, and there were signs of light appearing in the darkness in the distance.
"Carry it off, we're going to meet the real commander!"
Merlin threw a towel to Colson, then reached out to bring Kohler and the Scoruman up to the cabin.
Patton and Natasha stood beside him, in front of them, a fully armed operation team in black combat uniforms. And where they were, they were not an airport or a building of the Strategic Crisis Intervention and Intelligence Logistics Department, it was a quiet private manor with a tarmac.
Alexander Pierce, just waiting for them here.
"Come with me, agents."
The Hitville agent who had not seen for a long time said hello to Merlin friendly. He pushed his glasses and looked at the aliens carried by Merlin on his shoulders and Kohler who was carried by Patton, and he whispered:
"His Excellency Pierce is waiting for you."
"So, Hitville, are you following the real boss now?"
Merlin was whispering to the leading agent Hitville, who shook his head and said to Merlin:
"It's not that easy, Chief Merlin. It's just that because the things you report are so important, Your Excellency Pierce cannot alarm those who pay attention to us in advance, so he can only use trustworthy people. I just received the order a few hours ago to come here."
Merlin nodded. After experiencing the last "half-demon" incident, Agent Hitville was indeed a trustworthy person.
Faced with the torture of the half-demon Morris, Hitville gritted his teeth and did not disclose any news. This alone has already gained the trust of Merlin and Fury.
What's more, the agent did pay the price in that crisis.
Merlin looked at Hitville's head with a big bald head. The agent's already sparse hair disappeared completely, and there were still some ugly scars on his scalp, like an alternative Warrior medal.
"Hitville, your hair"
Merlin's words made Hitville's pace stop, and after a moment, he said a little sadly:
"There is no choice. The doctor said that those strange flames completely destroyed the root tissue. I tried many methods, but alas, there is no way. In fact, this is good, and it saves hair care and a lot of things. To be honest, I have experienced such a terrifying thing and I am lucky to survive."
Hitville turned around and gave Merlin a gentle smile, saying:
"I have to thank you, Chief Merlin. If it weren't for your rescue, I might have died there."
"I'm involved with you, Hitville."
Merlin said with a hint of apology:
"You shouldn't have experienced this."
"nothing."
Hitville pushed his glasses and opened the door to the manor hall for Merlin, and he said with a smile:
"It's not your fault, Chief Merlin. In fact, if it weren't for your recommendation, I might have lost this job now because of the closure of the Secret Service. Okay, let's not talk about it anymore, quickly go in. In order to wait for you, Chief Pierce hasn't slept for almost a night, so don't let him wait for a long time."
"Um."
Merlin reached out and patted Hitville on the shoulder, and then, under the care of the Operations Team, carried the tied Scoluts into the hall. Natasha, Patton and Colson followed him.
Alexander Pierce is now a member of the World Security Council and is said to be very promising to become a director in the future. He has entered the top political ranks and is equivalent to an ordinary senator.
The private residence he chose is also very consistent with his current identity.
The brightly lit hall is paved with white marble, as well as crystal chandeliers, simple sofas, and some unscrupulous collections. But the most eye-catching thing is that on the walls of the living room, there are two old spring field rifles crossed.
This is not an ornament. This should be a real guy, and it should be a weapon that Pierce used in the war.
This old man is extraordinary. Although he did not catch up with World War II, he had participated in almost any war after World War II. He was a real hard-core veteran and his style was very similar to those who came down on the battlefield.
"Look at who is here."
Pierce, wearing pajamas, looked a little tired. After all, he was almost 60 years old and was not as energetic as a young man. On the table in front of him, there was a bottle of open whiskey and a few cups. It seemed that this energetic old man had just relied on this thing to survive a long wait for several hours.
Seeing the agents walking into the hall, Pierce stood up and took the initiative to greet them.
He shook hands with Merlin, Patton, Natasha and Colson, patted their shoulders, thanked them for their efforts, and handed them the wine glass at hand.
Being with such an old man is destined not to be too uncomfortable. Pierce did not waste much time reminiscing about the past. After chatting with the agents for a few words, he focused on the two people on the floor.
"I've heard rumors about aliens since I was a child."
Pierce squatted down and looked at the Scruy carefully. The guy was still in a coma.
"But this is the first time I've actually met an alien."
The old man's eyes shone with curiosity, but then he shook his head and said to Natasha beside him:
"They are so ugly, are they?"
"But they will deform, sir."
Merlin held the wine glass and said to Pierce:
"These guys are called Scru people, and they come from the other end of the Galaxy. They fought an alien civilization called Kerry for nearly ten thousand years. Although I heard that the Kerry claimed that the Scru people were evil races, I always felt that neither of them was a good thing."
"It's normal, Merlin."
Pierce stood up, handed the wine glass to Hitville behind him, and then said to the agents beside him:
"It's like we are fighting a Cold War on Earth. We claim that the Soviet Union is evil, but are we just? Where is there any justice and evil in war?"
"Tell me more about these aliens, and the woman named Fuss, what's going on with her? Fury just called me and said that Fuss is actually a super-powered earthling, and can be used by us?"
Pierce's question was also curious about Patton and Natasha. Merlin leaned against the sofa, organized the language and said to the person in front of him:
"Fos is indeed an earthling. According to the information we have collected so far, she is likely a pilot of the Tianma Project. In the 1989 crash, she was accidentally discovered by the Kerry spy and brought back to the Kerry's home star Hara, and then was transformed there and blocked memory."
"She has always stubbornly thought she was a noble Kerry warrior but she wasn't. She was just a blonde, lucky, lost American girl, and that's all."
"So, she's her own?"
Pierce nodded in a clear way, and he gestured to Merlin to continue speaking with his eyes.
"Fus gave us a lot of information about the Sclue people. The Sclue's transformation ability seems to be unsolvable at the moment."
Merlin explained to several people:
"Their disguise is not superficial, but a whole copy from the DNA level. From a biological point of view, once he changes into what we are, he is the real us. And it is said that this deformation can even imitate the ability, and the only disadvantage is that it cannot inherit long-term memory."
"It's simply a civilization born for infiltration and subversion!"
Pierce narrowed his eyes. For people like him who had been engaged in espionage careers for life, he could understand the threat of the Scru people to other civilizations without reminding him.
He narrowed his eyes and looked at the green-skinned aliens under his feet, he said:
"I now understand why the Kerry must destroy them. Their existence is a threat to any civilization that cannot be ignored."
"Yes, sir."
Merlin said:
"We injected him with a powerful sleeping agent. Now you have the final say."
"Save him!"
Pierce waved his hand, and the members of the action team guarding the door immediately stepped forward, raised the unconscious alien and carried it out. He said to the others:
"You don't have to worry about this matter at the moment. We have a secret brother institution that is specifically responsible for communicating with aliens. They will help us dig out all the secrets in the minds of this Sclui."
Pierce narrowed his eyes and looked at another unconscious person on the sofa. He waved his hand and left and right, saying meaningfully:
Chapter completed!
