Alexander's Memoirs - The Trailblazers Chapter 1. Mass Amnesia Did Happen

That was...the first year when the disaster broke out...in the endless wilderness. Several carriages passed by in a hurry, not knowing where they came from or where they were going.

"Click, click, click." The horseshoes with hoofs fell on the ground, making a slightly dull sound. The solid wheels ran over, leaving traces.

On the carriage, the adventurers wearing armor also uttered doubtful words one by one.

"Who am I? Where is...where?" But there was a large blank space in Alexander's memory, as if it had been erased by something...

After a moment of trance, Alexander saw the carriage in front of him stop.

Feeling the texture of the reins in his hands and the harshness of the sun, Alexander hurriedly tightened his grip on the reins and gave a "drive" sound. While he stopped the carriage urgently, he also heard complaints and exclamations coming from the carriage behind him.

"Feel sorry."

After getting out of the carriage with his head in his hands, Alexander planned to ask about the situation of others, but in the end all he got was the fact that everyone here had lost their memory.

After the initial panic, when everyone's mood stabilized a little, an old man stood up. He took out a diary and told everyone that this was a pioneer team, and he was the captain of the pioneer team.

According to the contents of the weekly diary, after leaving the last city, the pioneering team had been traveling in the desert called Akanrama area for a whole month. Even tenacious weeds rarely grew in this desert.

The weekly diary also stated that the pioneering team in Duer Town outside Silver City changed to a horse breed that is more resistant to hunger and thirst, so they were able to persist for a month.

Everyone checked the supplies together. But there was not much food, water, and even fodder left, and it was impossible to sustain them for another month.

After coming to a conclusion, the captain could only calculate the amount of supplies remaining on the carriage based on the number of people. After confirming the status of everyone, he allocated food and water supplies for the next five days. After that, he could only leave it to fate.

Even though there were still many doubts, everyone could only climb on the carriage and continue moving forward.

It was getting late, and the pioneer team stopped the carriage and began to prepare for camp.

Alexander untied the reins of the two pack horses and tied them next to the newly lit fire. According to the description in the weekly diary, the weather in the Akanrama region was completely opposite to that of the Kanado region, which had a pleasant climate.

In the desert here, the temperature is very high during the day and all living things will quickly dehydrate. At night, the temperature will quickly drop close to freezing point.

In the next three days, the old man climbed to high places many times in search of places where supplies could be supplied, but unfortunately he gained little.

Fortunately, at dusk on the fourth day, the front carriage stopped at the edge of the high cliff.

The driver of the first carriage looked towards the basin below the high cliff and shouted in surprise to inform others that he had discovered a huge jungle.

The supplies at this time were almost exhausted, so the convoy did not camp on the spot. Instead, it took a detour and headed down a gentle slope while it was still dark.

While the night was still dark, all four carriages lit their headlights and planned to drive directly into the jungle. The soldiers accompanying the team and the three adventurers on Alexander's carriage also got out of the car and drew their weapons and moved vigilantly.

You can already see a dry stream at the edge of the jungle. Then you continue along the animal trail beside the stream, and you find a passage between the jungles.

This passage is naturally more than enough for people to pass - in fact, judging from the size of the passage and the compacted road surface, it should be used for horse-drawn carriages to gallop freely.

It has to be said that in the lush jungle, such a bare passage is too conspicuous. But humanoid creatures such as goblins and jackals should not have the wisdom to build roads, so Alexander swallowed his worries at that moment.

The tree stumps on the roadside have smooth and flat fractures. Fungi of different colors cling to them, which further supports this speculation.

Without thinking, the pioneering team moved along the passage. When they heard the sound of water, they happened to see an open space suitable for camping beside the passage.

Alexander licked his dry lips and watched as several soldiers pushed aside the bushes and fetched two buckets of water from the creek fifty feet away.

After parking the carriage and replenishing water, Alexander simply packed up and got into the carriage, huddled up in the carriage with his companions and fell asleep.

the next day.

Perhaps because of the smell of meat, Alexander woke up from his sleep, sniffed and slowly sat up.

As she stood up, her purple hair flowed down from the brown-green hood. Alexander picked up the bow and quiver leaning on the side, and then used his muscular arms to open the blinds. His red eyes shrank slightly,

Jumped off the carriage.

Under the selfless green shade of the trees, four carriages were crookedly formed into a semicircle that was not very standard. A campfire made of wooden branches and stones was located in the center of the semicircle.

At this moment, a ball of orange-red flames was burning quietly in the center of the camp. The flames flickered and licked the clay pots set up on the campfire from time to time.

The alluring aroma of meat wafted out from the clay pot, causing the gray-haired old man at the side who was sketching on a sheepskin map with a quill to pause again and again. At his feet, branches of different thicknesses were covered with

The dry vines were bundled into several large clusters and piled together.

Further away, eight pack horses of different coat colors were locked in a small temporary shed built with a few logs. Some were eating fodder, some had their eyes closed, and some lowered their heads and put one hind foot on the ground.

It is slightly bent and placed gently on the ground, as if it is resting.

Looking for the seemingly non-existent sound of water, I looked towards the other side of the passage. It was the creek that meandered through last night.

Alexander had already glanced around, and the trees in this jungle were actually towering ancient trees with well-developed root systems. These giant trees stood proudly, and unnamed vines climbed up the straight trunks.

Looking back to the center of the camp, the captain had already spread out the two documents that he had carried with him since he had woken up early in the morning and were slightly tattered from looking through them many times.

In the past three days, everyone had opened all the written documents held by this pioneering team more than once, so Alexander could still clearly remember the contents of the written documents in the captain's hand.

The first one has a cover decorated with ivory pink and silver inlay, and the text surrounded by a grapevine-like pattern is - "The Pass Book of the Third Pioneer Team of the Candor Holy Empire."

The first page of this document describes Alexei XIII's recognition of the legality of the pioneering and the certificates he issued for passing various checkpoints along the way - judging from the tone between the lines, this should be Canadore

His Majesty the Emperor of the Holy Empire.

Turn over this page and continue reading. The following pages contain records of the pioneering team passing through the territories of several barons and viscounts.

The second one was a little less gorgeous than the previous one. This was an agreement that Alexander had signed with the old man in front of him, the captain of the Blazers.

From the records on it, we can roughly understand the ins and outs of the matter - Alexander was an adventurer, and was hired by the pioneer team as one of the lines of defense to protect the pioneer team.

At the end of the document, there are several lines of handwriting that are either graceful or rough. One of them is naturally one of the few remnants of Alexander's memory - her name.
