531 Empty Coffin

Xu Da and Xu Yue asked for a torch to be lit and inserted into the door frame of the stone gate as a warning.

Because he broke through the formation without violence, the mechanisms behind the door did not move at all, as if they had lost their function.

But in fact, the supernatural events Xu Yue imagined did not happen, and the so-called mechanism in the tomb was not as sophisticated as the legend said.

After all, it was the level of civilization that existed thousands of years ago. It sounds scary, but it's actually not that great.

Anyway, the journey went smoothly, and I didn't encounter any corpse insects, poisonous gas, quicksand, or rice dumplings.

The funerary objects in the main tomb are very practical. They are all gold vessels, jewelry and jade, and there are only a few pottery and bronze vessels.

Xu Da waved his hand and threw out a few sacks, signaling Zhao Jian not to be dumbfounded and to pack his things first.

Zhao Jian spent a long time mentally building up, then moved past those sinister stone statues and packed up valuable things such as gold and jade.

What surprised Xu Yue the most was the gold cake placed in a large copper tripod in front of the main coffin.

This is real money. With this cauldron of gold cakes, the lack of funds can be filled, and there is still some leftover.

Because she was taking other people's things, Xu Yue hoped not to disturb the tomb owner's sleep as much as possible, so she and Zhao Jian gently put the things into the sacks.

Xu Dongbei and Xu Pingyuan didn't know what fear was. They stood in front of the main coffin with their grandfather, looking curiously at the heavy sarcophagus.

The sarcophagus was very large. Xu Dongbei asked: "Grandpa, is this where the dead sleep?"

Xu Da nodded.

Xu Dongbei asked again: "How many people are sleeping in here?"

He felt that the sarcophagus was so big that it could hold ten of him.

Xu Da: "A person."

"Can he sleep?" Xu Dongbei asked curiously.

Xu Da smiled and said, "Of course I can sleep. Who would think the room is too small?"

He looked at the carvings of auspicious clouds and flying cranes on the sarcophagus and the picture-like words, and he only recognized the word "王".

Sure enough, this is the tomb of a king, but I don’t know which king it is from thousands of years ago.

Xu Da moved his eyes away from this exquisite sarcophagus and looked at the small caves around it.

The cave was full of funerary objects, and Xu Yue and Zhao Jian were already pretending.

Coupled with the gold cakes in the big cauldron in the middle, the harvest is rich.

"Is it almost done?" Zhao Jian asked guiltily.

It's really hard for him to see so many jewels, but he didn't feel moved, but felt guilty.

Xu Da felt that Zhao Jian was a better person than he thought, and people were most afraid of the word greedy.

But maybe, he simply didn't know where the most precious thing in the tomb was.

"Give the gold and jade to the leader, and you can lead Northeast Hepingyuan out to wait for us." Xu Da said to Zhao Jian.

Zhao Jian was doubtful, but looking at the two little gods walking towards him, he still felt a little happy.

Handing the Son of God to him shows how much trust the Xu family has in him.

But he didn't dare to underestimate these two baby dolls who were less than his thigh height.

Xu Dongbei and Xu Pingyuan didn't know why their grandfather asked them to leave, but they knew they had to be obedient. Although they thought there should be more interesting things in the tomb, they still followed Zhao Jian.

Zhao Jian cautiously led the two little guys through the long corridor, fearing that he would trigger some mechanism and die in the long, dark corridor.

Xu Pingyuan held the Holy Light Magic Ball in his hand. He saw Zhao Jian's cautious look and curled his lips in disgust.

One child and one child returned to the cave full of stalactites. A few rays of sunlight shone through the cracks in the cave roof. Unexpectedly, it was already so bright outside.

Zhao Jian looked at the two little gods who were yawning, and asked them: "Are you hungry? Why don't you eat some pancakes, and I'll hold the two gods and sleep for a while?"

The cave was damp and there was no one to lie on the ground. If he really wanted to sleep, he could only hug him.

The brother and sister looked at each other and nodded sleepily.

Zhao Jian took out a pot of water and two grain cakes from his pocket, and said sheepishly: "It's really aggrieved for these two sons of gods to let you eat this."

The brother and sister said thank you to him, picked up the multigrain pancake, soaked it with water, and ate it in small bites. The taste was not good, but the brother and sister did not feel aggrieved.

My aunt said that only by eating some whole grains occasionally can you grow taller and stronger.

After the two of them had eaten enough and their biological clocks were up, they couldn't hold on any longer and fell asleep on Zhao Jianjian's bed.

Zhao Jian didn't know when Xu Yue and his daughter came out. He also ate two grain cakes, picked out a slightly dry place, and waited with the two gods in his arms.

At the main tomb, because Xu Pingyuan left, the Holy Light Magic Ball also disappeared.

Xu Yue took out a few more torches and lit up the tomb.

There were actually lamps on the stone wall, but Dad said they couldn't light them, so Xu Yue didn't light them.

Anyway, you can see clearly by inserting a torch, and you can also monitor the oxygen content at any time.

The strange thing is that in such an almost airtight space, the torch is burning brightly and has no intention of extinguishing it.

"Dad, is there any vent here?" Xu Yue put the packed sacks into the research room and walked towards Xu Da who was still standing in front of the main coffin.

"The bottom is empty." Xu Da suddenly crossed over the cauldron that had been hollowed out by Xu Yue and walked to the sarcophagus.

He inserted the pickaxe in his hand into the gap and opened it again. With a loud "crash", the heavy sarcophagus lid was pushed open, revealing half of the coffin.

Xu Yue was startled and stepped forward to take a look. She was almost not startled.

There was a person lying in the coffin, no, to be precise, it was a piece of clothing. There were no decayed bones inside, it was clean.

The tomb is so dry, human bones shouldn't turn into ashes in a thousand years, right? Xu Yue thought to herself.

Xu Da used a pickaxe to open up the piece of clothing. Soon after it came into contact with the air, it turned into powder.

There are several funerary objects scattered in the sarcophagus, all of which are bronze vessels, as well as a gold crown.

At first glance, it looks exactly like a person lying inside.

Seeing that his daughter was startled, Xu Da couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth, stood up and jumped into the coffin, startling Xu Yue again.

"Be careful of the agency!" Xu Yue reminded worriedly.

Xu Da waved his hand and didn't care at all. He squatted in the empty coffin and looked carefully. He seemed to have found something. He jumped out again and looked at the surrounding stone caves and the lamps in Bishan. After counting for a while, he came to a fierce stone statue.

Stop before.

"What time is it?" Xu Da asked. He had already raised his wrist and looked at the time. Xu Yue didn't need to answer at all.

The electronic watch in my hand shows the time as 9:30 am.

Xu Yue looked at her watch and was surprised, "I didn't expect it was already morning. I thought it was around six o'clock at most."

"Let's go out to eat something first and come back at twelve o'clock." Xu Da suddenly said.

Xu Yue nodded, she was indeed hungry too.
