532 Inhumanity

"Dad, is the coffin really down there?" Xu Yue asked curiously.

Xu Da nodded, "It should be under the sarcophagus. You should be able to feel the airflow in the main tomb. There are stone walls everywhere. There is only a gap we opened in the corridor, and there is no airflow into the main tomb."

"Then, the wind can only come down from the ground." Xu Da explained.

Xu Yue felt that the gold, silver and jewelry in the main tomb were enough, "Dad, the money is enough, how about we forget it?"

I always feel a little embarrassed if I take too much.

Xu Da rolled his eyes at her, "What's the use of guarding so much money when people are dead? Why don't we take it to benefit the common people, and it can also be considered as a blessing for the owner of the tomb."

Xu Yue thinks what her father said makes sense!

Hearing the sound of footsteps coming from the corridor, Zhao Jian immediately turned his head and looked over, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Xu Yue and his daughter walking out with torches.

"Why, are you still afraid of seeing ghosts?" Xu Yue was in a mood to joke after harvesting so much.

She took the two little nephews who were sleeping soundly in Zhao Jian's arms and hugged them. Seeing that the two little ones were wrapped in slings and sleeping soundly, with bulging little faces, Xu Yue lowered her head and gave each of them a light sip.

"Thank you for your hard work." Xu Yue said gratefully to Zhao Jian.

The ground was wet and cold, so Zhao Jian sat directly on the slippery rocks and hugged the twins to sleep.

Zhao Jian shook his head and said it was nothing. When he saw the two people coming out empty-handed, he asked tentatively: "Where are the things?"

Xu Yue glanced at him, half-smiling but not smiling, "Didn't you see it before? I've already put it away."

Zhao Jian thought of the Jinshan that appeared out of thin air in Boss Wu's house. He swallowed secretly and nodded. He knew what kind of magic Xu Yue should have used to store it in the magic weapon, so he didn't ask any more.

"Is it done? Let's go now." Zhao Jian couldn't wait to leave this gloomy place.

Fortunately, Xu Da let him bring out the two little gods. With these two gods by his side, he didn't feel so scary.

Xu Da had already taken out water and dry food and was eating it. He had no intention of explaining. Xu Yue could only shake his head and explain:

"Don't leave yet, Dad and I will go back later."

Zhao Jian asked doubtfully: "Aren't all the things already installed?"

Xu Yue casually compiled: "Those murals in the tomb are also the words on the sarcophagus. I want to make rubbings of them and take them back for study."

This is not entirely a lie. According to the preferences of the technology tree, these murals and ancient texts should be right up your alley, and they may be exchangeable for a few energy fruits.

Xu Yue always carries the printing version with her, and the ink and paper are readily available. Her only concern is that the ink will damage the original mural.

But as my father said, everyone is dead, so who are you keeping these things for?

It's better for her to make a rubbing and make it known to the world.

Thinking about it this way, Xu Yue no longer felt any psychological burden.

After coming back to her senses, she wanted to hand the twins over to Zhao Jian and continue to hold them, while she also had something to eat. However, she didn't expect that when she raised her head, Zhao Jian was stunned and looked at her in shock.

"What's wrong?" You can't really be possessed. Xu Yue took a step back warily.

Zhao Jian glanced at Xu Da, then at Xu Yue, and asked awkwardly: "The leader just called daddy?"

When Xu Yue heard this, she relaxed and smiled, "I've called you several times, didn't you hear me clearly?"

When she brought Zhao Jian out alone, she didn't want to hide his father's identity, so she didn't make any assumptions and just called him father.

Unexpectedly, she "revealed her secrets" several times, and Zhao Jian only realized it now.

Handing the twins to him, Xu Yue took out the dry food and ate it.

She looks good. Although her skin is not white and tender, it is healthy, rosy and shiny. She does not look like a hard-working person.

But what she did was overturning Zhao Jian's bad impression of her.

She can endure hardships, is smart, tough, humorous, empathetic, and most importantly, sincere.

Zhao Jian had to admit that the female leader in front of him was extremely charming and made people willing to follow her.

Already knowing Xu Da's identity, Zhao Jian could not remain calm. He suppressed his complicated emotions and nodded to Xu Da.

This was General Gongsun's first adviser at that time. He was proficient in magic, could control wind and rain, and was unparalleled in resourcefulness.

I didn't expect that a little pawn like him could have such an experience with such a person today.

Looking at the Xu family's father and daughter walking into the corridor again, Zhao Jian held the two soft little gods in his arms and felt incredible.

Xu Yue and his daughter returned to the main tomb chamber. Xu Da looked at the time and pulled the switch on the stone statue at twelve o'clock on time, opening the secret passage in the sarcophagus.

A cool breeze blew up, and Xu Yue immediately held her breath for fear of being poisonous.

Xu Da laughed next to him, "Don't be so nervous. It's ventilated here and the poison has already dissipated."

Xu Yue just felt like a fool, taking everything in the movie seriously.

Walking down the stone steps inside the sarcophagus, there is actually a natural cave below, which is very large, twice the size of the stalactite cave in front.

There is a small hole at the top of the cave. The midday sun pours down, like the divine light falling from the heavenly palace, and it falls right on the altar-like circular platform in the middle of the cave.

On the platform, a weathered lacquered wooden coffin rested on it, in stark contrast to the ornate sarcophagus above.

"How could any ancient people be willing to be buried in the sun?" Xu Yue felt that this was different from the ancient people's view of the underworld.

Xu Da shook his head. He didn't know this and had no interest in studying what kind of person the owner of the tomb was.

He looked at the gap above his head and thought that if he had dug down from the top of the mountain, he would have fallen into this deep cave and died.

"Perhaps in order to prevent the real body from being destroyed, a magnificent fake tomb was built above it." Xu Yue murmured.

The stone steps are very long. From the fake tomb to the altar at the bottom of the cave, it is visually estimated to be fifty or sixty meters high.

Because of the light coming from the sky, the situation on the altar could be seen clearly.

The wooden coffin, which was pitifully corroded by wind and rain, was surrounded by twelve tripods made of stone.

These things should have some symbolic meaning, perhaps symbolizing the twelve months of the year, perhaps the twelve zodiac signs, or the Bagua directions.

The father and daughter both looked at the rolls of Jane wrapped in oilcloth in the hollow gap of the tripod.

The belongings could no longer attract the attention of the father and daughter. There must be more precious funerary objects in the wooden coffin, but they are not as attractive as the simple inscriptions that may have been recorded in writing.

The cauldron was as tall as half a person. Xu Yue and her father together opened the lid of one of the cauldrons, which was pitted with water drops. It turned out to be Jane inside.

The cloth outside the slip looked like oilcloth, but not quite. Xu Yue put on gloves and carefully opened it, and the jade color came into view. It was not a bamboo slip, but a jade slip!

Coupled with the gold, silver and jade in the fake tomb above, Xu Yue just wanted to say: The trench is inhumane!
