Chapter 1,147 Accumulation

Chen Wenzhe now has a thorough study of many top-grade porcelains.

He studied all kinds of jade lamps, thin-body Liuxia lamps, and even red-glazed, green-glazed, black-glazed porcelain and so on.

More complex ones like pastel, five-color, doucai, pastel tying techniques, etc., he also learned all of them to the fullest.

Since then, Chen Wenzhe's technology has been improving faster and faster, and it can even be said to be very rapid.

Among these types of porcelain, mutual influence is certain.

Nowadays, he is often concentrating on making one kind of porcelain, but in the process, he is touched by the color of another kind of porcelain.

This is understanding and understanding.

Who asked Chen Wenzhe to learn too many porcelain making techniques that were too high-end?

He has accumulated a lot of experience, so now he is very good at making any kind of porcelain.

In the past, firing Lang Kiln Red and Lang Kiln Green felt a bit technical.

But now, Chen Wenzhe is able to make this kind of fine porcelain, which seemed a bit difficult in the past, and it feels very easy.

This is the progress of technology and the overall improvement of strength.

It feels like it's easy to bake, which means his skills are even better.

Now that I'm firing a batch, the craftsmanship will definitely be more exquisite.

I made a batch of Langyao red easily, and also fired a batch of Langyao green. As for the shape of the vessels, that's all, there is nothing to say.

After this batch of porcelain was finished, Chen Wenzhe was no longer blindly making porcelain.

Before, he did whatever came to his mind, but this time, he didn't know how to do it.

In other words, he needs to make up for his shortcomings.

Although he has learned more and more skills now and it is becoming easier and easier, he is not without his shortcomings.

Even if it is easy for him to learn various techniques, he cannot be said to be omniscient and omnipotent in the porcelain industry.

Mainly in the porcelain industry, there are too many various technologies and joints.

Not to mention how many types of porcelain there are, but there are many varieties of glaze colors.

For example, the blue and white glazes, multi-colored glazes, doucai glazes and pastel glazes originally made by Chen Wenzhe can only be regarded as commonly used and common glaze colors.

There are also various colored glazes that he has come into contact with, but Chen Wenzhe can easily think of more than a dozen.

As for things he has never been exposed to, such as Jin Cai and Hua Hua Cai, as long as the finished product is made, they are all very beautiful.

I have never done it before. I have never been exposed to antiques with this kind of craftsmanship, so I have not learned these techniques.

It's different now. He doesn't have to look for antiques to learn. Now if he wants, he can learn from the Sui Marquis Pearl.

This makes it simple. Not to mention anything else, it is just a golden color, which is worth learning from Chen Wenzhe.

The usage rate of gold color is not low, especially when making porcelain of the third and third dynasties of the Qing Dynasty, gold color was used more frequently, but it turned out that he had never done such a craft.

Of course, one of the main reasons for this is the use of gold.

It turns out that Chen Wenzhe was not as heroic as he is now, and did not have much capital to waste gold at will.

So what is jincai? Jincai refers to a porcelain-making technique that uses gold glaze and color as decoration.

Using gold to create a golden effect, who generally uses such porcelain?

Therefore, as long as it is a work using this kind of craftsmanship, it must be very precious.

In ancient times, the use of gold color to decorate porcelain is generally believed to have begun in the Song Dynasty, among which the Ding kiln gold flower porcelain is the most prestigious.

The sequel volume of Song Zhoumi's "Xinyou Miscellaneous Knowledge" records: "The golden flower is fixed in the vessel, mixed with garlic juice to make gold and painted, and then put into the kiln, and will never be taken off again."

The handed down products include black glaze, sauce glaze and gold color fixing vessels.

Gold, a precious metal, has had an extremely noble status in people's minds since ancient times, and it is naturally indispensable to use it to decorate porcelain.

The gold color decoration technology on ceramics is mainly divided into three stages of development.

First, the gold foil decoration stage.

Second, the principal decoration stage.

The third is the gold decoration stage.

Under normal circumstances, we can roughly determine the age range of its production based on the characteristics of the gold color on the artifact.

In the early Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, the firing of gold-colored porcelain began in Jingzhen, and it reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty, but its method of using gold colors was not comparable to that of Ding Kiln.

However, the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty not only introduced foreign colors from Europe, but also innovated the traditional ancient color craftsmanship.

On the basis of summarizing the traditional techniques for preparing colored materials, Jingzhen ceramic artists created many new varieties of colored materials.

On this basis, they tried to turn gold foil into gold powder, then added lead oxide to lower the melting point of gold, and finally produced "principal gold".

Until this time, the gold color process was truly part of the ceramic color firing process.

To make gold-colored porcelain, you must first process the gold powder. This step is called gold-plating powder.

Just put the gold foil in a porcelain gold plate and add an appropriate amount of water.

Heat to about 40C, grind it continuously in the plate with your hands until it turns into gold powder, and then use a 1200 mesh sieve to finely sieve.

Then add 0.5% western red for 1 point of the principal amount, place it in the palette and mix.

Then add 5-6 drops of gum solution and adjust until the gold powder does not foam.

Put the color-adjusted plate on a bowl of hot water and scald it dry.

Then use a gold tracing pen, dip it in water to add gold, and depict the patterns.

After the final firing, use an agate pen on the gold to scrape out the golden shine, or rub it with fine sand.

It is very difficult to process gold-colored porcelain with principal money.

First of all, the gold should not be too thick. If it is too thick, the color will be gray and it will easily cause "undressing" (that is, the gold will fall off).

Secondly, when using gold, it should be applied in one stroke without any additional filling, otherwise it will also affect the color and cause "undressing".

In addition, the use of water should be appropriate. Too little water can also cause "undressing".

In winter, the glue is easy to freeze, so it is better to mix the gold powder with garlic juice.

The final firing temperature should not be too high, otherwise the gold will turn rose or purple and lose its luster.

One of the representative works is the black-glazed gold-colored tea cup from the Jizhou kiln of the Song Dynasty.

This type of porcelain is simple in shape, but the black glaze and gold color complement each other, making it very beautiful and even very luxurious.

This is also a kind of tea cup, but because the kiln mouth is different, another process is used. Is the fired porcelain inferior to the jianzhan cup?

All I can say is that it is a different kind of beauty!

This is the function of various techniques, and the usage of gold color is very extensive, so Chen Wenzhe must learn it.

As for the rest, we can only rely on time to polish it. After all, not to mention all the processes involved in making porcelain, it is just a coloring process that Chen Wenzhe can study for a lifetime!

There are really too many things he needs to learn now. Let’s talk about painting. How many types of painting techniques are there?

Such as enamel, white ground ink color, yellow, green and purple three colors, yellow ground three colors, green ground three colors, purple ground three colors, ink ground three colors, red and green colors, porcelain lacquer inlaid with mother-of-pearl.

As long as Chen Wenzhe sees these craftsmanship, which one can he not be moved by?
