Chapter 1,492: Eight Directions, King of Nine Earths Coming
Most of the things Li Tianqiang collected were not real, and there were many foreign things that would never appear in China.
I don’t know which guy with such an open mind could actually imitate such a batch of foreign cultural relics.
And this is probably because there are too many people like Li Tianqiang.
Even if they imitate without any brains, there are still people who take over, so why don't they imitate?
No matter how many domestic imitations there are, it seems like they can no longer arouse national pride, so just collect foreign treasures.
There must be many rich people who have this idea, so some foreign antiques are also in demand now!
For example, Chen Wenzhe knows that three foreign national treasure-level cultural relics are now treasured in our country, but ordinary people may not have heard of any of them.
Since the Opium War in modern times, it has lagged behind the world.
We were invaded and plundered by foreign powers, and with the "help" of cultural relic dealers such as Lu Qinzhai, many of our country's precious cultural relics were lost overseas and difficult to recover.
For example, Sa Lu Zi and Quan Mao Quan are two of the "Six Horses of Zhaoling".
For example, the copy of "The Picture of Women's History" created by Gu Kaizhi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the copy of "The Picture of Emperors" created by Yan Liben in the Tang Dynasty...
These cultural relics carry a heavy history that the Chinese people cannot forget.
What is even more unacceptable is that some national treasure-level cultural relics have been damaged because foreigners do not know how to take care of them.
For example, the precious "Pictures of Admonitions of Women's History" was cut off at the waist!
Every time such a thing is mentioned, it touches the hearts of the Chinese people.
If cultural relics could speak, perhaps they would also sigh, "I miss my hometown tonight, and tomorrow will be another year with frost on my temples."
But having said that, many people mistakenly believe that only Chinese cultural relics are "alone in a foreign land". In fact, our country also has some foreign national treasure-level cultural relics in its collection.
However, these cultural relics are rarely reported, so they are not well known to everyone.
Among them, three foreign national treasure-level cultural relics are the most precious.
The first is a former Soviet national treasure: "Lenin proclaimed the establishment of the Soviet regime."
"Lenin Proclaims the Establishment of Soviet Power" is a classic oil painting by Vladimir Alexelovich Serov.
V. Serov is a representative figure of the former Soviet realism school. His paintings have a distinctive style and rich themes, many of which are based on reality.
He was successful in portraits, landscapes and still life paintings.
In 1947, V. Serov created this classic painting, which often appears in history textbooks. The creation coincided with the 30th anniversary of the October Revolution.
Ten years later, the former Soviet Union presented it to our country as a national gift.
This painting has a full composition, strong realism color, and the content has extraordinary commemorative value.
What's even more special is that it is the absolute original version and has not been modified for various reasons like the textbook illustrations and stamp versions later in the former Soviet Union.
Now "Lenin proclaims the establishment of Soviet power" is collected in the National Museum of our country.
The second treasure is Yinglun’s national treasure, the gold-plated copper writer’s clock.
In "A Dream of Red Mansions", Cao Xueqin wrote several times about modern clocks.
Grandma Liu had seen the Western self-ringing clock in Wang Xifeng's room, and Jia Baoyu also carried a pocket watch with him.
All these show that the aristocrats of the Qing Dynasty were fond of watches and clocks.
This trend naturally came from the palace. Emperor Qianlong was an avid watch enthusiast.
He likes watches that are ornamental and have multiple functions such as running time, time reporting, music, and event scenes.
So now most of the best palace clocks in the world are collected in our country.
This gold-plated copper writer's clock is one of them. It can be said to be a toy clock with a very exquisite design.
The so-called "writer clock", as the name suggests, is a robot that looks like a Western gentleman on the base of the clock.
The brush in his hand is stained with ink, and after winding it up, he will kneel on one knee and write the four Chinese characters "Eight Directions, Nine Earths Come to the King" on the small gum in front of him.
So everyone can guess that this bell was specially made by Yinglun craftsmen as a tribute to the Qing Palace.
The gold-plated copper writer's bell was jointly designed and manufactured by Williamson and Swiss automatic machinery master Jacques Droz.
This clock shows a combination of Eastern and Western styles, is 231 cm high, and is in the style of a pavilion.
There is a three-story pavilion above the writing gentleman. The bell ringer on the top will strike the bell bowl to tell the time and play music every three hours, which is particularly interesting.
It is conceivable that hundreds of years ago, before the Qing Dynasty completely declined, the emperor loved Western exquisite artifacts, which is why the Forbidden City now has a collection of more than 1,500 clocks.
After comparing it, I was filled with emotion.
As for the third piece, it is very similar to the fragment of slate that Chen Wenzhe just obtained.
The third item is the Egyptian national treasure painted coffin, stone tablet and rubbings.
The experience of Egyptian painted coffins, stone tablets and rubbings "traveling" to my country is similar to the situation of some of my country's modern cultural relics going overseas.
This batch of cultural relics entered the country through the hands of Duan Fang, a famous official in the late Qing Dynasty.
Duanfang once served as Minister of Beiyang and Governor-General of Zhili (like Li Hongzhang). He loved collecting gold and stone antiques and was the first person in modern my country to collect foreign cultural relics.
Duan Fang was sent abroad for inspection in 1905. At that time, Egypt's national power was declining, and many cultural relics were sold on the market.
Moreover, at that time, Egypt did not have a strong awareness of the protection of cultural relics.
When Duan Fang returned to China, he passed by Cairo, Egypt, and was very interested in seeing these cultural relics from the 19th Dynasty of ancient Egypt. He paid for them regardless of the doubts of people around him.
He even wrote on the rubbings from ancient Egypt, "The true stone carvings of ancient kings and queens were drawn to serve as a guide for Zizhuang's observation and Duanfang Ji".
These precious Egyptian cultural relics that date back more than 3,000 years came to our country with him.
After Duan Fang was killed, the painted coffin and stone tablet rubbings avoided being scattered like other collections and are now stored in the National Museum.
In fact, the value of these three cultural relics in the hearts of Chinese people is probably incomparable to those of our country's cultural relics scattered overseas.
Since the opening of the Silk Road in the Han Dynasty, cultural relics such as Persian gilt silver vases, Eastern Roman gilt silver plates with patterns of gods and figures, and Byzantine red agate gold cups with tiger handles have flowed into our country.
However, these all flowed into our country because of cultural exchanges.
It is not the same thing as the crazy plundering of modern powers. I believe that in the future, our country’s precious national treasures will eventually be returned intact.
Of course, the foreign cultural relics in front of Chen Wenzhe were definitely not the treasures mentioned above.
However, if we really want to compare values, it’s hard to say which one is more valuable, because the meanings are different.
For example, Chen Wenzhe sees some stone statues and some that look like scriptures.
These are piled up in a corner. If he hadn't drilled into the innermost corner, Chen Wenzhe wouldn't be able to see them.
It seems that Li Tianqiang also knows that these are definitely not genuine.
Of course, now that you are here and in front of Chen Wenzhe, it is still worth seeing.
Seeing this, Chen Wenzhe laughed. If these were true, they would definitely be the top national treasures.
You know, everything here should be a Buddhist sacred object.
