Chapter 254: Three taboos

What is Zifu?

It is also the place where immortals and gods live.

The so-called opening of the Purple Mansion by immortal cultivators is actually to open up a place for the soul to live in the sea of consciousness, so that the soul that was originally hidden deep in the sea of consciousness can appear and have a place to live.

To humans, the soul is the immortal god who dominates everything. The place where the soul lives is naturally the Zi Mansion.

Those real people in the Nascent Soul stage can still exist in the world in the form of Nascent Soul after their physical bodies are damaged, which undoubtedly confirms the theory that the soul is the "immortal god" from the side.

If we summarize it in terms of the four major stages of cultivation, the opening of Zi Mansion by a foundation-building monk is actually a process from the stage of "refining essence and transforming qi" into "refining qi and transforming spirit".

Compared with the monks in the Qi training stage who attack the foundation building, the monks in the foundation building stage open up the Zifu. Although it is not so dangerous, there are many taboos and it usually takes a long time.

The taboos in opening the Purple Mansion mainly include the following points.

First, avoid being surprised.

When opening the Purple Mansion, it is most taboo to be disturbed and frightened. Any sounds from the outside world, abnormal spiritual energy fluctuations, or other disturbances may frighten the soul, leading to the failure of opening the Purple Mansion.

Therefore, when the monks open up the Purple Mansion, they must set up numerous formations in the cave to isolate and block all sources of external interference. They must ensure that even if the outside world collapses, there will not be any abnormal noises in the cave.

Second, avoid confusion.

Not confused, the original meaning is to be able to discern clearly and without doubt when encountering problems.

The soul is the "immortal spirit" that lives in the human body. It can see all invisible things, hear all inaudible words, and detect all unobservable things.

Therefore, once the soul appears, the monk will definitely see some invisible things, hear some inaudible words, and detect some unobservable things.

But these invisible things, unheard words, and unobservable things are not things that monks in the Zifu period can explore and investigate.

If you try to find out the causes and sources of these things, you will encounter the crisis of "transforming the Tao".

What is transformation?

Transforming the body into the Tao and completely disappearing from the world, this is the Tao!

Therefore, when monks open up the Purple Mansion, they must keep their true intentions, suppress their strong desire for knowledge and curiosity, and keep their minds calm.

Third, be careful not to act rashly.

When the monks open up the Purple Mansion and the soul manifests and returns to the Purple Mansion, there will be a phenomenon of "spirit wandering around the world".

This kind of "spirit wandering around the world" vision is a good thing, it is an opportunity for monks to get close to the laws of heaven and earth.

Many Zifu monks relied on this opportunity to master the key points of spells that they could not understand before, or they suddenly had a great understanding of key points of skills such as weapon refining, alchemy, and formation formation.

To put it simply, this "spirit wandering around the world" vision is an enhanced version of "sudden enlightenment", which allows the Zifu monks to understand many principles of practice.

But opportunities often coexist with risks.

"Wandering around the world" can certainly help the Zifu monks to contact the laws of heaven and earth in advance and understand the great ways, but it will also put great pressure on the monks' souls.

In the face of the huge benefits brought by "Wandering the World", many monks ignore the burden it puts on their souls, and become too addicted to it, which eventually leads to their souls collapsing and dissipating, and they become dead on the spot.

Therefore, after the monks successfully open up the Purple Mansion, they must not act rashly, cut off when necessary, and not be overly indulged in "wandering around the world".

These three taboos are the most taboo when opening up the Purple Mansion.

There are three difficulties in building the foundation, and three taboos in the Zifu.

On the road to immortality, when each great realm leads to the next great realm, there are different dangers accompanying it.

If you don't understand these dangers clearly, you can imagine how likely you are to get through them safely when you experience them.

Therefore, the experience of previous generations is very important, very important.

Although Zhou Yang had already seen the three taboos in opening up the Purple Mansion in the Kung Fu books, he only knew the taboos of these taboos and did not know how to solve them.

Now, by studying the experiences of those monks from Huangshamen and Zifu, he realized that the senior monks had already summarized and found some solutions.

For example, for the first taboo, many articles can be written on the retreat place.

The cave where Zhou Yang is currently retreating has three layers of formations with different functions inside and outside. Once all three layers of formations are activated, he will completely lose contact with the outside world in the cave.

Even if there was a sudden earthquake outside, he wouldn't feel anything inside the cave.

In the same way, even if thunder strikes outside the cave, as long as the formation is not broken, he will not hear any thunder at all.

This kind of special retreat cave specially prepared for immortal cultivators to open the Purple Mansion can only be prepared by a sect with a long tradition like Huangshamen.

As for the second bogey, the "Requiem Grass" that Zhou Yang thought was useless before could actually play some role.

The most dangerous thing is the third taboo. In this taboo, only "Purple Heart Chalcedony" can stabilize the monk's soul, enhance the monk's soul's ability to withstand stress, and buy the monk more time to wake up and regain consciousness.

Therefore, if you use "Purple Heart Chalcedony" to assist in opening the Purple Mansion, it will not only increase the chance of success in opening the Purple Mansion, but you will also get more benefits from "Wandering the World" than if you did not use it.

But even so, Zhou Yang did not intend to use the "Purple Heart Chalcedony".

He is very confident in the strength of his soul. He is confident that with the power of his soul, even if he does not use "Purple Heart Chalcedony", the benefits he will get will definitely not be worse than those who use it.

Therefore, after he decided to attack the Zi Mansion, he used the Dong Mansion Token to open all the formations, completely cutting off the Cave Mansion from the outside world from now on. Even the transmission notes and flying swords could not enter the Cave Mansion.

After doing this, he sat cross-legged on a thousand-year-old cold jade bed deep in the cave, and officially began to try to attack the Zi Mansion.

The first step to attack the Zi Mansion is Yun Shen.

As the primary stage of "refining Qi and transforming into a god", the Zifu period already involves the cultivation of the soul. Before opening the Zifu, the foundation-building monks need to use special secret methods to consume mana to nourish and nourish the soul, so as to activate the originally dormant soul.

stand up.

This step may take longer or shorter, depending on the cultivator's own circumstances.

Some people can complete it in just a month or two, while others take up to a year.

Zhou Yang's soul is as powerful as he thought.

It only took him twenty-five days to complete the "Yun Shen" level.

After completing "Yun Shen", Zhou Yang's most intuitive feeling was that his body was empty and exhausted, but his spirit was as strong and blazing as fire, extremely excited and active, and his thinking was extremely divergent.

He knew that this was caused by the restlessness that had nowhere to be released after the soul was awakened.

Only after the Purple Mansion is opened and the soul can live in the Purple Mansion, this restlessness will completely disappear.

At this time, he was not busy taking the next step, but took out a third-level "Bigu Pill" and swallowed it to make up for the physical consumption first.

After his body was no longer so empty, Zhou Yang began the second step, opening the mansion.

To open a mansion is to open a purple mansion.

The time taken for this step is also variable and varies from person to person. There is no fixed number.

Many immortal cultivators who failed to open the Zi Mansion fell on this step.

The process of this step is not complicated at all. The cultivator mobilizes his magic power to rush into the Shenting acupoint, build a dojo in the snail shell, and build a mansion in it that can accommodate the soul.

This step is easy to say, but extremely difficult to do.

First of all, the Shenting point is the most important acupoint in the human body. It is called the "Upper Dantian" in spiritual practice. It is more important than the "Lower Dantian" at the Qihai point on the lower abdomen and the "Middle Dantian" at the Tanzhong point on the chest.

The upper, middle and lower "Dantian" correspond to the essence, energy and spirit of the human body respectively. Any problem in any place will directly ruin the future of a cultivator.

The Qihai point is where the "lower Dantian" is located. When cultivators enter the Qi training period, they must open this point as a place to store mana.

Tanzhong point, as the "Middle Dantian", is the place where essence is stored. The essence and blood of the immortal cultivator is stored here. If this place is damaged, the longevity of the immortal cultivator will be reduced at best, or directly killed in the worst case.

The Shenting point, as the "upper Dantian", is the place where the spirit is stored. The spirit of the immortal cultivator lives here and controls the whole body.

Usually when cultivators practice, their magic power will automatically bypass the Shenting acupoint to avoid damaging important acupoints here.

But when opening up the Purple Mansion, one must actively inject mana into it.

Compared with ordinary monks, Zhou Yang undoubtedly has a great advantage in this step, that is, when he was captured by the Blood Netherworld, the Shenting Point was expanded by the Blood Netherworld's magic power.

At this time, he carefully mobilized a trace of mana and injected it into it, then rushed towards the location of the soul. Although he was frightened every step of the way, he felt that it was going smoothly.

However, after he continuously injected a certain amount of mana, he felt that the Shenting point was a little overwhelmed, so he immediately withdrew his mana and suspended his actions.

In this way, Zhou Yang would mobilize mana to inject into the Shenting acupoint every once in a while to clear up wasteland, and then withdraw the mana to rest when he got tired.

After this continuous land reclamation operation for nearly a month, he finally "saw" his soul.

The soul of ordinary people is just a little firefly, so hazy that it is impossible to see it clearly.

As for a ninth-level monk like Zhou Yang, his soul has grown to the point where he looks like a torch, and his body and facial features are complete, just like a real person.

Zhou Yang's soul is a bit more special than ordinary monks. In addition to his complete facial features, his soul also has a trace of golden fire that is transformed into a robe and attached to it.

"Why is this fire so similar to the True Fire of Qian Yang? Could it be that when the Blood Netherworld seized the body, the remaining power of the True Fire of Qian Yang was absorbed by the soul after the backlash, so there is such a layer of fire that the soul of ordinary monks does not have?

?”

Zhou Yang "looked" at the appearance of his soul, his mind was full of thoughts, and he soon thought of the reason for the special nature of his soul.

Of course, these are not things he should consider now. What he should do now is to build a mansion around the place of the soul and let the soul return to its place.

But just as he was about to do this, he encountered the second biggest taboo when opening the Zi Mansion, which was taboo.
