Chapter 29 Give her a hairpin

"As long as it tastes good," Su Yan said with a smile.

She thought of something and added: "I'll decorate Goudan's house first. The chicken should be ready. I've been cooking it for a long time."

She picked up a few pieces and put some green vegetables on top, "You eat first, I'll bring them over."

Qin An stood up, two heads taller than Su Yan, making her look a little delicate. He stretched out his hand and said, "I'll go."

Su Yan smiled and said, "It's okay. You can sit down and eat. They won't be able to pick it up if you send it over." After saying that, she carried it and walked out of the yard.

After a while, she came back with a bowl of tofu. When she met Qin An's eyes, she said, "It will be delicious when it is cooked in the pot at the end."

She sat on the waiting table, picked up the bowl and chopsticks, and started eating. While eating, she said: "Eat slowly. When you finish eating, I will fry the pancakes."

"Let's look at the moon together today."

"Brother Qin, what will happen to you tomorrow?"

She actually didn't like to celebrate this kind of festival, so she thought Qin An should have a good time since he had never celebrated this kind of festival.

Qin An was stunned for a moment, took a bite of green vegetables and shook his head, "It's okay."

Anyone who knows him well knows that he hunts all year round, and there is no idle time at all.

The two of them didn't say much while eating. Su Yan was worried at first that Qin An was eating too fast and that the soup pot was not interesting.

Unusually, he ate more slowly today. When she was full, he was still eating.

She got up and made two bowls of mint water. She handed one bowl to Qin An. She took two sips and looked up at the sky. It was already dark and the moon had not yet come out.

"Brother Qin, save your stomach, I'll make pancakes." After saying that, he put down the bowl and went to the kitchen.

After she left, Qin An ate much faster, finishing all the vegetables in the pot, and then put out the fire in the stove.

He went in with the pot, took the big bowl and filled the rest. Su Yan was just filling the stuffing, "Brother Qin, wash out the pot, I'm making pancakes."

Qin An said "hmm", washed it, put it in the stove, and then went to light the fire.

Su Yan turned around and touched the edge of the pot, trying to tilt it a little. Unexpectedly, it was too hot and she immediately let go.

This is too hot. How did Qin An hold it just now...

Qin An stood up immediately and said subconsciously: "Are you okay? It's a bit hot." After that, he got a basin of water and let her soak.

Su Yan held it in her mouth for a while, looked at him and said, "Look at your hands."

He held such a hot pot for a long time.

Could it be that he regarded himself as a tough guy?

Qin An was stunned for a moment, then he realized and spread it out for her to see. He blushed slightly. There was nothing wrong with it. "It's okay, I have thick skin."

Su Yan glanced at him and felt a little sorry for this rough guy. Sure enough, she was living alone, so she didn't know she felt sorry for herself.

It's not that the skin is thick, it's just that I'm used to being burned.

"Don't do this if you have thick skin. Wrap it with cloth next time, otherwise it will easily dry out in winter."

Seeing the woman's concerned expression, Qin An looked dazed for a moment, and finally nodded, "Okay."

He glanced at her hand, then went to the house to get the ointment, which he bought when he was injured while hunting.

Usually he won't use it for minor injuries.

It didn't help that he had a deep cut on his hand with a knife before.

"Rub it."

Su Yan didn't know that the ointment was expensive, so she took it and rubbed some on it, then left it alone and started baking pancakes with one hand.

Qin An came back after putting the ointment and couldn't help but look at the woman a few more times. He seemed to be getting used to this kind of life.

They bake pancakes only during the holidays. Su Yan didn't bake many pancakes, just six, her two, and Qin An four.

After baking it, she took it to the stool in the yard and called Qin An out, "Brother Qin, there is a moon. The moon is really round today."

Qin An turned off the fire before coming out. He looked up at the moon and then at Su Yan, with a softer look on his lips.

I didn't think there was anything special about the full moon before, but it turns out that it's different now that there are people at home.

The two of them sat in the yard eating pancakes quietly, listening to the frogs in the field and the conversation of the family next door.

The next day, Su Yan made clothes for a while in the morning and started drawing patterns in the afternoon. Unexpectedly, Qin An actually had pen and ink and was also literate.

She actually doesn't know how to draw pictures, but she has visited many ancient towns before and seen a lot. In half an hour, she drew two pictures.

I don't know when, Qin An stood next to her and looked at it. He raised his head and was startled, and quickly asked: "How is it? Can it be done?"

"Yes, I will go up the mountain and cut down the peach trees."

Qin An glanced at her, then looked away, and said, "Would you like to go together?" After speaking, he tugged at the corner of his clothes unnaturally.

"Sure, I just happened to pick that ginger flower and bring it back to make spices."

Su Yan didn't think much, pressed the blueprint with a bowl, and then went to get the basket.

The "couple" went up the mountain one after another. People in the village had seen them many times, and they were all muttering about how the two of them were getting better and better together, eating meat every day.

Could it be the return of light that overcomes death?

The wild peach tree is left unattended and cannot bear fruit, but it is beautiful when it blooms.

Su Yan glanced at the wild peach tree and said casually: "It should look good planted in the yard."

Upon hearing this, Qin An glanced at her, then took a machete and chopped down a tree.

Su Yan went to pick the ginger flowers nearby. At this season, there were still some flowers left, so she boiled them in oil and put them in vegetables to make them more fragrant.

She likes to make these treats when she has nothing to do, and now they come in handy.

After Qin An finished it, he came over to help her pick it. Su Yan didn't look at anyone while picking it, and Qin An probably didn't look either. She saw there were many clusters, so she moved over.

She stretched out her hand and grabbed it. Unexpectedly, Qin An also reached out and grabbed his hand immediately.

The woman's hand was a little soft, and Qin An could feel the roughness on the back of it.

Both of them were stunned for a moment. Su Yan glanced at Qin An, retracted her hand and turned to pick others.

Qin An froze for a moment and retracted his fingers slightly. Soon he stretched out his hand to pick the cluster and glanced at the woman next to him from the corner of his eye.

After picking a basket, the two went down the mountain. Qin An was making hairpins in the yard, while Su Yan went to the kitchen to make sesame oil.

It seems that everyone is used to such days.

It was getting dark, so Qin An came in with a hairpin and asked in a low voice: "Is this okay?"

Su Yan turned her head and took a closer look, her eyes lit up. Others looked rough, but the workmanship was not rough. "It looks good and the workmanship is fine. I thought you couldn't handle this."

"Let's go to town tomorrow and ask about those jewelry shops."

"Don't say anything then. As for me, if you can settle it, you will feel more relaxed in the future."

"By the way, Brother Qin, can you catch some crabs? I want to take them to the restaurant tomorrow and ask."

Qin An said "hmm", hesitated for a moment, put the hairpin on the stove, and whispered: "This is for you."

"I'll make another one later."

Before Su Yan could say anything, he turned around and went out. The tall rough man went out with a bucket, his cheeks were a little red.
