Chapter 30: Did your little sister say goodbye?

Before dark, Qin An came back with a large bucket of crabs, and then sat in the yard to get started.

He moved very quickly, pulling the pliers with one hand and the shell with the other, and separated them with a gentle tug.

Su Yan glanced at him while he was cooking. If we didn't get along, he looked really fierce.

After dinner, Qin started working on hairpins, making five in one night.

When Su Yan got up, she saw him still polishing in the yard and was stunned for a moment, "Brother Qin, have you been working on it all night?"

Qin An said "hmm", stood up and patted the sawdust on his body.

“It’s not a waste of time to make money.”

Su Yan didn't know what to say about him. This man always worked desperately. If he had any health problems, no one would help him.

You still have to get married.

She didn't say much, went to the kitchen to make crab stew, and the two of them thanked each other for going to town.

There was no one in the restaurant at the moment. When the shopkeeper saw Su Yan coming, he was particularly enthusiastic and said, "Little lady, your vegetables are selling well, what else can you do?"

"That's why I came here. I just figured it out. Shopkeeper, please give it a try." Su Yan took out the food box from the basket on her back.

She paused and then added: "The crab pot is a bit cold, so maybe it doesn't taste that good."

The shopkeeper took a look at it and found that it smelled quite fragrant. He took some chopsticks and tasted it, and his eyes lit up. "This crab is crispy and spicy. It's delicious."

"My little lady's skills are pretty good. Why don't you come work as a cook in our shop? I'll give you one and a half silver coins a month." She said it very seriously.

Hearing this, Qin An pursed his lips and looked at the woman out of the corner of his eye. Su Yan shook her head and declined politely, "It's not good for my wife to come out in public. The shopkeeper can just do what I do."

"The crabs are getting fat now. If we don't have them in winter, we can make fish stew, which actually tastes good."

After the last time, the shopkeeper believed her, "Well, it's only six taels of silver this time. Little lady, you sold it to me, but don't sell it to anyone else, otherwise I won't make any money."

"Don't worry, shopkeeper, I still understand these rules." Su Yan nodded.

When Su Yan went to the kitchen to cook, the shopkeeper gossiped with Qin An and praised: "You are such a good little girl. You are lucky to cook so deliciously."

"And he who speaks without flinching is a blessed person."

"Have you said that? I have a relative whose son is not married yet. His family is in the cloth business and has a house in the county. He is very capable, but not very handsome."

"But he's just not handsome. As a man, he just needs to be capable."

Hearing this, Qin An glanced towards the kitchen, pursed his lips, and said in a low voice, "I told you."

The shopkeeper suddenly felt a little regretful, "Hey, our nephew is not lucky." He didn't say anything more after that.

He added: "Why haven't we sent any prey recently? There are more people eating it. The chickens are too fat and don't taste good."

"I'll go up the mountain tomorrow." Qin An said in a low voice.

Su Yan looked very happy when she came out of the food shop. She had saved a lot of money in her hand. Even if Qin kicked her out, she was not afraid for the time being.

She collected the money and said, "Brother Qin, let's go sell hairpins."

Qin An said "Yeah" and the two went to the jewelry store. Su Yan looked around and found that there were very few silver hairpins and most of them were wooden hairpins. They were probably for convenience of work and not to attract people's attention.

The shopkeeper greeted them enthusiastically, "What are you buying? We have all the hairpins here."

Su Yan withdrew her gaze, took out a row of hairpins wrapped in cloth from the basket, and said directly: "Shopkeeper, take a look at these hairpins, will you accept them?"

She paused and then said: "My eldest brother used to be a hairpin master in the county. Now he's back home. He hasn't found a place to sell it yet, so he came to ask."

"This style doesn't exist anywhere. My eldest brother thought of it himself. Look at the craftsmanship, and it's made of peach wood."

Qin An was slightly stunned, but he didn't panic.

The shopkeeper, who was already a hairpin master from the county, glanced at Qin An, and quickly took the hairpin and looked at it carefully. The style was indeed something I had never seen before, and it looked pretty good.

He looked at the one on Su Yan's head and asked, "Is this the one you are wearing?"

"Yes, I think it looks pretty."

Su Yan stood up and showed him generously, and then said: "This style is suitable for young women."

The shopkeeper looked at her a few times, then looked at the hairpin, "How much money?"

"It used to be more than 200 cents a piece in the county. If you want it, it's only 100 cents. My eldest brother really wants to come back and take care of the family." Su Yan said a little helplessly.

Qin An caught a glimpse from the corner of his eye, with a slight smile on his lips, and soon returned to normal.

It's not very expensive, it's really okay. The shopkeeper looked at it and was still a little hesitant. Here, a mother and daughter came in.

Su Yan thought of something and whispered to the shopkeeper: "It's up to the shopkeeper to sell it."

Then she raised her hand and touched the hairpin and said louder, "Brother, this hairpin looks really good. Do you think it looks good?"

Qin An understood what she meant. Looking at her beautiful face and those most attractive pair of fox eyes, she suddenly swayed.

The shopkeeper next to me immediately answered: "It must look good. If you don't believe me, ask these two guests."

"This is what unmarried women like you have to do."

The mother and daughter came over to take a look, and the young woman nodded, "It's very beautiful, shopkeeper, are there any more? I want to see it too."

"Yes, I still have a few of these. They come from Fucheng. They are finely made and sell well. I bought four or five of them early this morning."

"It's not expensive, only two hundred coins."

Before the mother and daughter spoke, Su Yan was delighted and said, "It's so cheap. I want two. Brother, please help me pay the money."

Qin An nodded, and quickly took half a tael of silver. The shopkeeper's eyes lit up, he knew this little lady was up to something, "I'll make love to you right away."

The young woman was a little excited. She picked one up and put it on and asked her mother. The woman looked at it and thought it was good.

She was paying for her daughter's dowry, so she was particularly willing to give up the money, and said generously: "Put the rest on, we want it."

The shopkeeper smiled happily and said, "Is Madam planning to celebrate something happy?"

"I'm buying a dowry for my daughter. Is there only four dowry? It's a bit unlucky, so I only need three." Women are particularly particular about this.

Hearing this, Su Yan said: "The meaning of three roots is not very good, it is better to be in pairs. So, let me give these two to you first."

"Shopkeeper, help me place the order. I'll come back to pick it up in a few days. I'm not in a hurry."

She paused for a moment and said, "Shopkeeper, it would be cheaper for you to organize this lady's wedding."

Seeing her take off the hairpin from her head, Qin An pursed his lips and his jaw became obviously tense.

The shopkeeper smiled and said, "Of course, let's do this. This little lady has already spoken, so it will be sixty-six cents cheaper."

The woman thought for a moment, nodded, and then smiled and said to Su Yan: "Thank you, little lady."

Su Yan shook her head and said with a smile: "It's okay."

The shopkeeper took the wooden box and put it in it. After collecting the money, he smiled when the mother and daughter walked away, and then returned half a tael of silver to Qin An, "Okay, I'll send it to you when it's ready."

He said that he would take another 600 yuan to Qin An.

Su Yan said happily: "The shopkeeper is very happy, don't worry, my brother's craftsmanship is not bad."
