Chapter 125 I am...Lingtusk Elephant Buddha?

"You demon gods used to seem to have great magical powers, but in fact you have inevitably ignored many human principles." Fa Hai said to several people: "Wang Fu of the Han Dynasty once said, the reason why you are wise is to listen; the reason why you are secretly

Those who are partial to believe."

"Although these words are used to admonish kings, they can also be used for oneself. It is more applicable to those of us who subjugate demons and eliminate demons. Is a spirit good or evil? Whether it is evil or not, and how much evil it has done.

, should we be transcended or should we be transformed...how to judge all these things?" Fa Hai looked at the crowd and said: "One is to listen to what others say, and the other is that you need to see and judge for yourself."

"As usual, why did my master ask you to find out the details of those goblins and take action?" Fahai looked at several disciples and saw that they were all thinking, so he continued: "Are you afraid that you can't fight them?

?With Wukong’s power, Ao Lie’s courage, and Yi’s views as a teacher, how many spirits can stop you from secretly attacking?"

"Just like the son of the white elephant this time, if the poor monk hadn't asked Wukong to go to the South China Sea to consult Guanyin Bodhisattva, he might have been saved without any chance to defend himself." Fahai sighed slightly and said: "That's why I emphasize it again and again,

Don't be impulsive when encountering problems. You must make a decision before taking action. Today is another lesson for you to remember that when exploring the truth of a thing, you must remember to listen both ways to gain enlightenment and to believe only half-heartedly to gain darkness. You must focus on the overall situation and remember not to be biased.

All in all."

"Thank you, Master, for your teaching." Several disciples thanked the Master repeatedly. They always learned something real from following the Master.

The Great Sage is the closest to the Master. After listening to the Master's words, he leaned forward and asked with a smile: "Did the Master know that the king's words were untrue? That's why he asked the disciple to go to the South China Sea to find out what happened?"

"Amitabha." Fahai shook his head and said: "That's not the case. On the contrary, my teacher became angry at the first moment and wished he could punish that evil Buddha in front of others on the spot... This is the fault of a poor monk and should be punished.

As a warning."

All the disciples reflected on their master when they saw him. Naturally, they all sat upright and did not dare to speak loudly.

Fahai actually didn't say a word. If he hadn't been different from the past, although his magic power became more profound, his mind was much more restrained, otherwise he would have captured the "Elephant Buddha" and went to the Lingshan Mountain...

What will the scene be like then?

Fahai sat cross-legged on the futon and said to himself: This journey to the west is indeed a test at every step.

Cultivation means cultivating the mind, using the mind to control the Dharma, discussing the Buddha's manifest path, and understanding the mind and nature.

Otherwise, it means that you have powerful magic power but cannot control it due to lack of character, which is tantamount to falling into the devil's path.

Fahai has already been possessed by a demon once, and he knows what it feels like. Although the feeling is still extremely tempting when he thinks about it today, he can face this temptation without taking another step forward.

This is the meaning of practice.

It is often said in the spiritual world that immortals and Buddhas cut off the seven emotions and eliminate the six desires. They can ignore the temptations of the world and explore the essence directly.

Fa Hai now feels that this is too exaggerated and not as pure as those monsters who simply indulge their own nature.

Immortals and Buddhas are ruthless, but people are affectionate and know how to exercise restraint;

Demons have no restraint, but people have restraint, and they also know how to exercise restraint.

It doesn’t matter whether immortals and Buddhas are truly heartless, or whether demons are truly lawless, but if Fahai is given a choice, he would rather be like he is now, sinking in a sea of suffering, but always able to resist the chaos of the world.

Ordinary monk.

Infinite Life Buddha.

Fahai left the ambassador's post house, climbed into the sky with his feet on the auspicious clouds, and looked at the baby elephant in the Baoxiang Buddhist Temple with the presiding elder studying Buddhist scriptures with his Dharma eyes - a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Firstly, he laughed that although the "Precious Elephant Buddhist Sutra" was completely unintelligible, there was still something to be found; secondly, he also lamented that if all the monsters in the world were like little elephants, why wouldn't he want to be a kind-hearted Arhat with good intentions?

Wukong was right.

This little elephant has been locked in a golden body since birth, not to mention the karma of cannibalism... Fa Hai even felt that burning him with the flames of the Great Sun Buddha was just scratching his itch...

.Although this little elephant does not have any karmic obstacles entangled with it, there are many causes and effects that entangle its body.

After all, he has received incense and prayers from the subjects of Baoxiang Kingdom for nearly two hundred years, but it has never been fulfilled once. The only time he appeared was when he asked the king for a boy or girl.

"The only doubt now is why he asked for virgins."

Fa Hai did not think that His Majesty the King had told lies, after all, the other party had not yet had the ability to deceive him.

And this little elephant, I have confirmed with my own eyes, is not an evil spirit.

So what exactly is the problem?

Fahai did not disturb the little elephant's temporary care. He went to the palace to see the king and said: "Tomorrow's Dharma discussion in the Baoxiang Buddhist Temple does not require the participation of all the subjects. Your Majesty can only invite the Queen and Princess Baihua to come.

"

The king nodded in agreement. He didn't want to agree to this at all. If some accident happened and hurt his subjects, wouldn't it be a failure of his duties as a king?

...

The second day.

The little elephant, who had "studied" Buddhist scriptures all night, was full of energy and was just waiting to appear in front of people early in the morning.

but...

The entire Baoxiang Buddhist Temple was always deserted. Except for the monks of the temple, not many people came to watch the ceremony.

He pricked up his ears to listen, but still couldn't hear anything.

"Go." Little Elephant said to the abbot and elder, "Send someone to see what's going on!"

In fact, the monks in the temple had already noticed the strange scene outside. As soon as he spoke, some disciples from the temple reported outside, saying that the area around Baoxiangguo Temple was deserted, and even the soldiers who used to guard the temple were gone.

"Weird!" Little Elephant frowned and looked at the abbot, "What on earth is going on?"

The abbot and the elder were also confused, but after thinking... he said sarcastically: "Lord Buddha, could it be that the king really had murderous intentions? Seeing that he couldn't trick you out of the city to go to Wanzi Mountain, he simply agreed to Lord Buddha's conditions in advance.

, paralyzing the Buddha... When the Buddha loses his vigilance, he will secretly transfer the people away..."

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! "Oh!" the little elephant suddenly shouted angrily: "How dare he?!"

As he said that, he stood up and walked out——

The abbot subconsciously wanted to stop him, "Lord Buddha, be careful of being plotted."

You are not a true Buddha, so what's the use of getting angry? Why don't you... leave first.

The little elephant picked up the abbot and elder and shouted: "Don't stop me, I will go to seek justice today!"

It’s totally unreasonable!

There is no way to bully people like this.

"Master Tripitaka, the divine monk of the Tang Dynasty, has arrived!"

At this moment, a voice from outside came from the chamberlain:

Then there was another voice: "Your Majesty the King, the Queen has arrived!"

Then I heard the hurried footsteps of the monks gathering in the temple.

The little elephant was still angry and wanted to go out and ask Ming Ming why the people were not allowed to come and listen to the debate on Buddhism!

I saw him gently sending the abbot and elder in his arms aside, and then strode out of the main hall.

Here Fahai's master and disciples and the king's family also happened to come in and bumped into each other.

"oops!"

A scream suddenly came from the courtyard.

The king, queen and others had seen the appearance of Bajie and Wukong, and Princess Baihua had spent thirteen years among the monsters, so they were not surprised by the appearance of this little elephant.

The monks all knelt on the ground to greet His Majesty the King and the Queen, and they were not allowed to be disrespectful. Naturally, they did not dare to look up at will, so they never saw the appearance of the Great Sage, Bajie, or the little elephant.

So...this scream naturally came from the mouth of the little elephant.

"Oops!" Others paid more attention to this little elephant, but they caught sight of Bajie behind Fahai and subconsciously yelled: "How dare you monsters enter my Buddhist temple!"

When Bajie heard this, he was not happy and immediately jumped out and retorted: "What kind of monster dares to pretend to be a Buddha in a Buddhist temple and fool the people!"

One has big ears and a pig's nose, and the other has big ears and an elephant's trunk. They both have a strong appearance. If you don't look closely, you might think they are brothers because they have a certain resemblance.

Crash--

The monks subconsciously raised their heads to look, and they all dodge in fear, shouting: "Misfortune, calamity, the monster is coming!"

"Amitabha!"

Seeing that the situation was about to get out of control, Fahai's Buddha's call came to the ears of the monks, and the panicked monks calmed down in an instant. Although there was still a little panic in their eyes, they were much calmer than before.

Seeing that the monks were in a panic, the king's expression also changed, and he subconsciously wanted to call the guards to suppress them. However, before he could speak, he remembered that he had brought a few personal guards with him this time, and the imperial guards stayed outside.

However, when he saw Master Sanzang beside him, he felt confident instantly, and Master Sanzang stabilized the situation with just a Buddha's name.

Really like an eminent monk.

"The poor monk Tang Sanzang came from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to the West Tianling Mountain to worship Buddha and seek scriptures." Fahai walked to Bajie in the front row and said to the monks and the little elephant: "This is my disciple, not a monster.

.”

The monks were impressed when they saw that Fahai was an outstanding talent, dressed in a bright red cassock, holding a nine-ringed tin staff in one hand, and a diamond Buddha bead in the other. His whole body was rich in Buddhist charm that had never been seen before.

Seeing him say that this pig-headed monster is his disciple, I will only feel that his Dharma is so profound that even such monsters can be subdued by me.

After the explanation was finished, they followed Master Sanzang's gaze and all looked at the "elephant demon"——

"I am..." Little Elephant was confident in the first two words, but he hesitated a little after: "Lingtusk Elephant Buddha?"

Everyone:...

The main reason is that he himself doesn’t know whether he counts.

It doesn't matter, after all, he has received incense under this name for nearly two hundred years; it doesn't matter, but this is not formal, and he has not been awarded the title of Lingshan Buddha.

"That king!" Xiao Xiang changed his words and did not look at the eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty in front of him. For fear of showing cowardice, he instead asked the king: "I made it clear that today I will discuss Buddhism at Baoxiang Buddhist Temple and invite all the people in the city.

I borrowed it to testify, why do you have no faith and don’t try to deceive me?”

The king heard his question and hurriedly went to see Master Tripitaka.

At this time, the abbot and the elder also came out of the main hall. He saw a faint confrontation between the two sides, and saw a large number of people on the king's side. In addition to the eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty, there were also several ferocious demons. He was afraid that this "little elephant" would suffer a loss, so he hurriedly

Said: "Infinite Life Buddha, Infinite Life Buddha... I have met Your Majesty, and I have met the great monks of the Tang Dynasty."

"Lao Na is the abbot and elder of the Xiangfo sect of this temple. Today, I am discussing the Dharma with the sacred monks on behalf of Xiangfo."
