Chapter 8 I really drank too much

Chapter 8 I really drank too much

During the push, Chu Wuzheng unlocked the phone and pointed it at her face. He found several photos of him in the album. They were all blurred and did not show his handsomeness at all. He deleted them all.

"Reach out." Chu Wuzheng said to Sang Jie who had given up struggling next to him.

Sang Jie stretched out her hand, and he patted the cell phone in her hand, with the large cell phone chain still dangling on it.

"Are you a policeman or a gangster?" she shouted at his back.

Chu Wuzheng paused, turned around and approached slowly without saying a word.

Sang Jie looked at the sudden change in his eyes and backed away with some hesitation until her shoulder accidentally knocked over the switch behind her, extinguishing the lights in the corridor. She quickly got out of the way.

Looking at the bulge on the wall, Chu Wuzheng reached out and touched it, and the light returned.

"I said, whatever you think." He raised his eyebrows slightly.

His eyes are so beautiful, Sang Jie thought.

It was already past closing time when Chu Wuzheng returned to the office. The lights were still on in the office, and Xiang Hang and Da Lian were guarding inside.

Chu Wuzheng has been living in the bureau and working overtime during this period. Today, the two of them told him to go home and have a good rest, so they took the initiative to stay.

Chu Wuzheng drove directly out of the police station.

When his daughter goes to school, he is unable to pick her up due to his work, so he lives with his grandma from Monday to Friday. He will only take her home when he has time during the weekends.

Thinking back to the food in the refrigerator that my mother brought last time, almost all of it has been eaten. Even if I go back and pick and choose, I probably won't be able to make a meal.

He had no choice but to park the car in front of a restaurant and make a quick dinner first.

I randomly ordered two dishes and they were ready and served in a short while. Before Chu Wuzheng could even use his chopsticks, he received a call.

He held up the phone for a long time before opening it to answer it.

Chu Wuzheng put the phone to his ear, but no one spoke.

He was also silent.

After listening to his breathing for a moment, the other person finally spoke. "Is that you?"

nonsense.

"It's me." Chu Wuzheng said.

His low and brief words caused the person opposite to pause for a moment, but she continued. "...Teacher Wu asked me to tell you that if there are any omissions in the documents you came to the clinic to investigate today, we can send them the electronic version."

Here it is so you don't have to make another trip."

Listening to her words, Chu Wuzheng's eyes fluctuated slightly but he did not respond.

The other side said "Hey" again.

"Shen Shiyu." Chu Wuzheng snorted coldly. "It's been almost ten damn years, and the tricks you came up with are still just as bad."

"..."

He hung up the phone directly.

Chu Wuzheng was right.

When the two first got acquainted, they could never talk to each other due to the time difference. Later, Shen Shiyu made a video call with Chu Wuzheng, and he always said, "I slept a lot during the day and I'm not sleepy at all."

In fact, the dark circles under her eyes were very obvious when the light hit them.

One year for his birthday, Shen Shiyu ordered a watch for him as a surprise half a month in advance. In order to get him to come back early, he kept calling him that day. Either he said that the water pipe in the house was leaking or that the TV was broken.

One excuse after another was mercilessly exposed by Chu Wuzheng.

"Whether you love me or not!"

Chu Wuzheng hurried back after putting down the phone. Unexpectedly, he saw no one at home. He thought she was really angry and left. Just when he was about to go out to look for her, the little girl jumped out from behind the door.

"Happy birthday!"

In fact, she is quite capable.

He hugged her in his arms. "I thought you ran away from home."

"It's a beautiful idea." Shen Shiyu hugged his neck tightly and rubbed it. "I paid half of the rent. If you want to leave, I will kick you out!"

She said these words, but later, she still ran away without even leaving a word, and walked away resolutely for six years.

Chu Wuzheng looked at the food on the table and saw that it seemed to be cold.

He waved to the waiter and ordered a bottle of white wine.

In fact, he didn't want to drink it, but he hadn't had a good night's sleep for several days, and he had been struggling with himself for so many days. If he didn't take a few sips to clear out the things in his mind, he would have to drink it tonight.

But that’s the thing about wine. As soon as you put it in your mouth, you have to drink one glass after another, especially when you have something on your mind.

Chu Wuzheng drank alone until the restaurant closed. The boss didn't know what to do and could only call the police station.

There was an older policeman who came and knew Chu Wuzheng.

"Isn't this Captain? What's wrong?"

Chu Wuzheng was patted several times by him before he managed to straighten his head, but it was easy to see that he was unconscious.

After struggling for a long time, they persuaded him to unlock the phone and rummaged through the numbers in it. There was one he had just called, and it showed "quick call, quick call".

This was the note that Shen Shiyu entered personally.

Seeing Chu Wuzheng calling her, Shen Shiyu's heart skipped a beat for no apparent reason, and she was really worried that he was here to accuse her. Especially in the middle of the night, if he got into trouble, she really couldn't bear it.

But there was a strange man on the phone. "Hello, are you a friend of Captain Chu?"

Shen Shiyu became nervous instantly. "I am, what happened to him?"

"Don't worry, he's just drunk. Isn't it convenient for you to pick him up?" The policeman said the address.

In fact, it was not convenient for Shen Shiyu at all. She lived in the suburbs, an unknown number of roads away from the city police station, but she agreed without thinking.

When she arrived, it was almost midnight, and Chu Wuzheng was lying on the bench in the house, his face red.

"Why did he drink so much?" Shen Shiyu asked the policeman next to him.

"I don't know." He shook his head. "I heard from the boss that Captain Chu drank alone all night. I don't know what's on his mind."

Shen Shiyu touched his face, which was hot from the alcohol.

The police helped her carry Chu Wuzheng to the car and gave her the key. Shen Shiyu thanked her and walked away for a few steps.

After coming back, I saw Chu Wuzheng lying awkwardly in the back seat. I was worried that he was uncomfortable, so I had to step forward and grab his collar and arms, and it took a lot of effort to get him to sit down on the seat.

After such a toss, Chu Wuzheng slowly opened his eyes.

Seeing her sitting in front of him, he suddenly smiled and said nothing.

"Where is your home?" Shen Shiyu asked him.

Chu Wuzheng still smiled.

Shen Shiyu was helpless. "I asked where your home is? I will take you back."

"No need." Chu Wuzheng finally said.

Shen Shiyu almost spat blood on his face. She had never seen such a person before! She really couldn't understand why she came all the way here for something.

But she didn't bother to argue with the drunkard.

"What time has it been? Why don't you go back?" she said loudly to him.

"Yes." Chu Wuzheng repeated her words. "It's been so long and you still haven't gone back."

I really drank too much...

"I meant to send you back. The police called me and I came to find you."

"What are you here for?" Chu Wuzheng looked at her with drunken eyes and smiled.

"Looking for you." Shen Shiyu said.

He couldn't laugh anymore, leaving only a tired look on his face. "...When did you come?"

"I live in the suburbs, brother, and the motorcycle will catch fire any time soon." Shen Shiyu defended himself with an annoyed look.

Chu Wuzheng coughed twice, spread out on the seat and waved his hands. "You don't need to worry about it, just go."
