28. Ashes

Under the same starry sky, Sigrid had just finished a fierce battle.

Baimu level, as the lowest level adventurer, the corresponding assessment is naturally very simple.

To put it simply, the adventurer is simply required to find a Baimu-level adventurer in the adventurer's guild to compete with, and if he persists for a period of time, he will pass.

There is no risk to life in this kind of competition, and there is no risk.

The more difficult thing is to travel with a group of adventurers who have also taken the Baimu-level assessment to complete a certain commission.

Sigrid was unlucky enough to be taken in by the cautious and cautious Lu Yu.

He needs to follow seven other assessment members to a mountain forest west of the royal city to help the villagers kill the brown bears that are attacking the locals.

At first, Sigrid didn't take it seriously. After all, killing two or three brown bears was not a difficult task. It was better than letting them take risks in the goblin underground palace.

But he underestimated the intelligence of his teammates.

While they were setting up the bear traps and setting up camp and waiting, the remaining seven assessment members in the team actually took action separately, hoping to find traces of the brown bear as soon as possible.

One of them stepped on the bear trap he had put down on his way back to the camp.

These traps are so big that they can easily break the legs of a brown bear. If someone steps on them, there will be tomato sauce all over the ground.

In the middle of the night, the bloody smell became a shining light in the darkness, and monsters and beasts emerged from the shadows one after another.

Having been plowed to death by adventurers before, they saw that Sigrid and others did not dare to act rashly, but they were so desperate that someone in the team hurriedly shot an arrow, angering the watching beasts...

After a chaotic fight, there was no way to survive with a broken leg.

Although Sigrid heard him begging his fellow villagers to help him out, his fellow villagers still kicked him in the chest and asked him to "take the initiative" to help everyone break up.

After the wave of wild beasts and weak monsters dissipated, everyone counted the bodies around the camp and found that during the chaos, they had completed their goal of hunting two brown bears.

At this time, only three people were left in the eight-person team.

The hook-nosed guy next to Sigrid cursed the Adventurer's Guild, questioning them for deliberately issuing death orders to newcomers.

Another short man who was originally a groom also gritted his teeth and echoed the bald man's words.

While cursing, they searched for the bodies of their companions, hoping to find some valuable items from them.

Sigrid had no interest in being a hyena, so she followed her memory and found all the bear traps that everyone had bought together.

The owner of the house seems to want to arrange traps everywhere in the mansion. Bringing a few traps back is a good gift, right?

Just as Sigrid was cleaning the bear trap and preparing to return, the two surviving companions came to her.

"Take out the belongings you found and let us distribute them."

Sigrid glanced at the two men, banged the washed animal trap and threw it aside without paying any attention to them.

"I can see very clearly that there are two corpses over there. When we went to touch them, there was nothing left," the groom complained.

"I only took the animal trap." Lulutis said calmly.

"The bear trap is only worth a few bucks. You'd better stop lying to us. Be quick and take out your harvest and let's redistribute it."

Sigrid stood up, clapped her hands, and suddenly realized: "Are you trying to rob?"

The bald man's face darkened little by little, he stared at Sigrid and said sadly.

"No gentleman here would pity a lady. Besides, so many people died here today, would anyone care about one more corpse?"

"Or do you want to enjoy yourself a little longer before you die?"

The groom continued, and then he and the bald man laughed together.

If Lu Yu were here, he would definitely tell the bald man that neither his finger nor his fate could be saved.

Sigrid doesn't like to be teased, and she doesn't like to be looked at with lewd eyes, looking at the goods from top to bottom, and finally makes a frivolous comment.

"High-end stuff."

It would remind her of the days when she was kept in a cage and treated as a commodity on display.

Sigrid looked around.

The corpses of monsters, beasts, and people fell to the ground in a mess, blood pooled in the mud, and there was a strong smell of blood in the air.

With some moonlight, Sigrid could see clearly that the groom and the bald man had disgusting smiles on their blood-stained faces.

Their smiles looked ugly, just like the group of "audiences" outside the cage who enjoyed watching the slaves cry and suffer.

"As expected, in this improvised adventurer team, the ones we should be wary of the most are our teammates."

Sigrid was thinking this in her mind, and her hands had already slipped to the belt around her waist.

"You are right, so many people died today..."

The dagger hidden under her sleeve reflected a faint glow in the moonlight. Sigrid rushed in front of the bald man at an incredible speed and cut his throat with one knife.

"What's the harm in having two more?"

The bald man who was teasing Sigrid with frivolous words just a second ago only saw a flash of light in his field of vision and was speechless.

He held his throat and made a "cough" sound, and blood continued to spurt out.

He wanted to block it, but couldn't.

The groom was so frightened that he turned to run away, but what greeted him was a sword that pierced through his heart.

After doing all this, Sigrid looked at the sky and gasped violently.

The moment she killed the bald man, Sigrid felt that the depression in her heart was relieved.

From a slave, to a servant, and then to being entrusted with important tasks by the two masters Lu Yu and Lulutis, it all happened too fast.

In order to seize this opportunity that belonged to her, she worked hard to repay the two new masters, and soon entered a new identity.

The pressure and anger accumulated from past experiences had nowhere to vent, which made Sigrid feel a little uncomfortable.

Now she was fine, the breath was released smoothly, and she felt comfortable all over.

"The master gave me so much material for the aftermath, and I feel like he planned it all."

Sigrid looked at the pile of potions in her backpack and couldn't help but think of Lu Yu.

"Maybe you really saw through me and asked me to find a chance to vent?"

Sigrid took out two bottles with red labels on them.

After collecting the two people's belongings, Sigrid stood in the leeward position, mixed the scale powder in the bottle with the liquid in a bottle, and poured it on the bodies of the bald head and the groom.

After a while, the two corpses were ignited in a raging fire, and only a few bones and dregs were left.

"The potion mixed with the scale powder given by Lord Lulutis seems to work well, but the burning is a bit dirty."

Recalling the meticulous manner in which her master taught her to destroy corpses and eliminate traces of traces, Sigrid, who was determined not to cause any trouble for her master, decided to do it more cleanly.

After pondering for a moment, she picked up a sack, swept all the ashes and bone fragments on the ground together, held the bag and ran all the way until she came to a river, where she fell down in one breath.

After doing all this, she returned to the scene of the crime, skillfully undressed the bear and removed its head.

The bear skin, bear head and bear trap were thrown onto the cart, and Sigrid pushed the cart and set off back to the royal city overnight.
