Chapter 47: Going back to her mother's house

The next day, Lu Man got up early. After briefly washing up, he walked into the kitchen and ordered the servants to do this and that, busy non-stop.

When Jin Chengjun came out of the fitness room, the room was bright and neatly tidied. The windows of the restaurant were open, and the faint fragrance of the crabapple flowers in the courtyard outside the window blew in with the wind, which was fresh and pleasant.

This home used to be like a hotel where Jin Chengjun's brother and sister lived. It only provided a place for food and accommodation. He didn't even look at his home carefully, he only thought it was a residence.

After Lu Man came, this home seemed to have something extra, and he actually felt a little warm.

"Chengjun, are you done exercising? Can you use breakfast?" Lu Man's voice sounded from behind him.

Jin Chengjun turned around and looked over. Her face was haggard, but she was trying hard to smile. She was holding a bouquet of red begonias in her hand, which made her face even paler.

"I asked someone to stew ginseng soup and put it on the table. You drink it before going to work." Lu Man said lightly and walked past him holding a bouquet.

Jin Chengjun frowned, what happened to her? Wasn't it obvious enough that he did it last night?

Lu Man walked a few steps, then turned around and said, "By the way, I'm going back to my father's house to stay for a few days. I've asked Sister Xi and the others to make soup every day. Don't forget to eat it."

Jin Chengjun stopped wiping sweat with his hands and looked at her with squinted eyes. Those clear eyes were magnanimous, neither happy nor angry, without waves or desires, light and calm as a lake.

He speculated in his heart, but Lu Man didn't explain much, just walked upstairs holding the bouquet.

She walked all the way to the stairs on the second floor. Jin Chengjun didn't ask her why, let alone try to persuade her to stay. Lu Man couldn't help but feel disappointed.

It was ridiculous that she went back to her parents' house just a few days after her wedding. Lu Man smiled bitterly in his heart and put the begonia flowers cut from the courtyard into a white vase. He stared at it blankly for a while before picking up his bag and going downstairs.

Jin Chengjun was already sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper. In front of him was a bowl of steaming soup.

Lu Man hesitated to speak, and finally said: "Chengjun, I'm going back to Huayuan."

Jin Chengjun didn't even raise his head, and a cold voice came over: "Okay!"

Lu Man's throat tightened, she clutched the bag in her hand, looked at him deeply, bit her lip, turned around and walked out of the house.

As her figure disappeared, Jin Chengjun put down the financial newspaper in his hand, narrowed his eyes habitually, and stared at the door for a while before looking back.

No matter what idea she has, it has nothing to do with him and cannot affect his decision. She is destined to be sacrificed.
