Chapter Forty-Nine An Accident

Rolling up his sleeves, Lu Man helped his father tidy up the study, refolding the scattered documents and placing everything neatly. Even the ashtray was cleaned.

After walking out of the study, she walked to her father's bedroom. The servants had already tidied the room. She still rearranged her father's cloakroom and re-pressed and arranged the suits, as if doing so could alleviate her guilt.

Lu Man picked up a photo that Lu Zhongping placed on the bedside, and brushed the faces of a family of three on it with her slender fingers, revealing a peaceful smile.

This is their only family photo. The photo is a bit yellowed. The mother has just given birth. Her face is as pale as the hospital wall, but she is smiling happier than ever.

If my mother was still here, would I be able to lie in her arms and express my grievances and injustices, and would my father not be so tired?

Lu Man sighed, put the photo back on the bedside table, and looked at it for a while.

She stood up from the bed, and there was a rush of footsteps. Her heart suddenly tightened, and a feeling of panic spread.

"Miss, Miss, it's not good, it's not good," Mrs. Zhang's clear and loud voice came closer and closer, and soon, her person appeared at the door.

"Sister-in-law Zhang, what's wrong?" Lu Man's face looked a little ugly and he looked at her nervously.

"Miss, this is the master!" Mrs. Zhang gasped, holding on to the door and breathing heavily.

Lu Man was startled, took two steps forward, opened his eyes wide and asked, "What's wrong with dad?"

"Master, he has fainted," Mrs. Zhang said with a white face.

Lu Man's face suddenly turned pale. He staggered and staggered. His head was filled with dizziness and he could hardly stand.

"Miss, what's wrong with you?" Seeing this, Mrs. Zhang helped her with quick eyes and hands.

Lu Man held Mrs. Zhang's hand tightly, digging her nails into her flesh, trying her best to support herself.

"Why, why is this happening all of a sudden?" She trembled her lips and squeezed out a sentence.

"Miss, let's go over there quickly. The master has been sent to the hospital." Seeing Lu Man's dejected look, Mrs. Zhang felt a pain in her heart and reminded her while wiping her tears.

Hospital, yes, now is not the time to ask this, dad, she wants to see dad

Dad, don't let anything happen. Don't let anything happen!

Lu Man let go of Mrs. Zhang's hand and rushed out with a white face, like a headless fly who couldn't find the exit and was in a panic.
