4165. Chapter 4165 Yunmen Grottoes 1

Datong Fangshan, Datong Wuzhoushan.

The distance between them is not far.

Reaching far away.

On the square mountain, there is a magnificent and magnificent tomb - Yongguling and Empress Dowager Feng's tomb.

Not far away, there is a new tomb - to be precise, it is not a tomb, it is a grotto.

The Yungang Grottoes, which became famous all over the world.

At this time, the early construction of Yungang Grottoes had been completed.

This grotto is called "Tanyao Five Caves", which is majestic and has a thick and simple Western Regions mood.

In the cave group, there are various characters with different expressions and lifelike appearances, such as Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, disciples and guardians of the Dharma; there are imitation wooden buildings with simple styles and diverse shapes; there are Buddhas with outstanding themes and skillful sword skills.

The reliefs are from the rich composition and exquisite decorative patterns; there are also ancient Chinese musical instrument carvings such as qin, shixiao, shishi and pipa, which are colorful and dazzling.

The largest one is the central sitting statue of the fifth cave, the 17-meter-high statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, which is the largest Buddha statue in the Yungang Grottoes. The four walls of the cave are full of carved Buddha niches and Buddha statues. On both sides of the arch, two Buddhas are carved sitting opposite each other.

The Bodhi tree has been embossed on the top and has beautiful lines.

In the center is a two-story square tower column connecting the top of the cave, about 15 meters high. Below the tower column is called a large niche. The Buddha statue is carved on the south side, the Buddha statue is carved on the west side, the Buddha statue is carved on the north side, and the statue is carved on the east side.

The statue of Maitreya on the four sides of the tower pillar, the three walls of the east, south and west of the cave, and the two sides of the bright windows, carved 33 reliefs of the Buddhist story describing Sakyamuni's birth to enlightenment.

The Sakyamuni here looks like a person.

Because it was built by Emperor Xiaowen Tuoba Hong to commemorate his father Tuoba Hong.

The Buddha statue is faintly like the voice, appearance and smile of Emperor Hongwen during his lifetime.

Emperor Hongwen believed in the local god in his early years. Later, as soon as the great god Fuxi of Fangfei was revealed, the influence of the sect quickly weakened on the land of the northern country.

More than twenty years later, it was unknowingly replaced by Buddhism that integrated into the Central Plains.

After Emperor Hongwen abdicated, he developed a negative and world-weary mentality and had no place to rely on it. He had to practice Huang Lao and Buddhism, and gradually became a believer in Buddhism.
