02 Sleeping with Wolves

There was a wolf that had been dead for several days, and not far away there were several fist-sized corpses of wolf cubs. However, the corpses were covered with maggots, so they must have been dead for a while.

"Ugh..." The smell combined with the disgusting and terrifying scene made Wenwan unable to bear it any longer, so she spat it out with a "wow". She subconsciously stepped back, but the howling of a wolf outside the cave forced her to stop.

.

If you go out, you will be torn into pieces by wolves and swallowed alive. If you don't go out, you will be suffocated to death by the stench.

After weighing the situation, Wen Wan chose to stay in the cave. The smell of corpses in the cave could cover up the human scent, so she might be able to escape death.

Survival can inspire human will. Lying in a narrow cave, Wen Wan hunched her shoulders and put down her backpack. She took out a tissue and stuffed her nose. Her ears were erect and pointed, listening to the movement outside the cave.

"Woo..." A faint animal voice suddenly emerged from the cave.

Wen Wan thought she had heard wrongly, so she quickly picked up the flashlight on the side and shone it in the cave.

"Woo... Wu..." Not far from the wolf corpse, the upright wolf cub moved weakly.

Wen Wan was surprised. The mother wolf had been dead for a long time. There were no external injuries on her body. She probably died of illness or poisoning by the herdsmen. The six wolf cubs must have died of starvation or drank the poisonous milk of the mother wolf.

But one wolf cub survived?

Wen Wan was stunned for a long time, hesitantly pushed away the body of the female wolf, shrank forward and grabbed the dying wolf cub. It was a newborn wolf cub that didn't even open its eyelids, and was thinner than Wen Wan's fist.

It's a little smaller and a bit cold.

"Woo..." The wolf cub had a strong will to survive. His stiff mouth touched the gentle and warm palm, and he suddenly opened his mouth and sucked hard.

Wen Wan was shocked. The wolf's survival instinct made an inexplicable emotion appear in her mind. She took out a bottle of Nutritional Express from her backpack, poured some on the bottle cap and fed it to the little wolf's mouth. Unexpectedly, its head moved.

He knocked over the bottle cap and scattered it all over his body.

After giving another bottle of nutritious juice, Wen Wan dipped her fingers into the wolf cub's mouth and fed it to the wolf cub. The wolf cub, which had been weaned for several days, sucked desperately.

Wen Wan couldn't help but smile, "Little one, if you have the guts to survive until I come to save you." It was freezing cold, so I didn't know if I could save it, so I just left it to fate.

After feeding for more than half an hour, the wolf cub was finally full, but the cold weather made it tremble after drinking a belly of frozen Nutritional Express, and it spit out some white juice from the side of its mouth.

Would it be starved to death? Wenwan took out a tissue and wiped its mouth, "It really vomited a lot after eating too much."

Occasionally, wolves howled from outside the cave. It seemed that she was destined to spend the night in the pile of corpses. She could just sleep in the pile of corpses. Those wild wolves must not get into the hole, otherwise she would be dead.

.

The wolf cub vomited the nutritious juice two or three times, and huddled up in a ball, shivering. The mother wolf was dead, and even though the wolf cub was full for the time being, he was afraid that he would freeze to death sooner or later.

Wen Wan sighed quietly, unbuttoned her down jacket, and held the wolf cub on her belly, "Let me hide in your wolf den for a night, and let you keep my belly warm. We can live in peace."

The flashlight dimmed, and it was no longer necessary to use it. Wen Wan turned off the flashlight, changed a new tissue to cover her nose, and huddled on the ground to close her eyes.
