28. Chapter 28 Collecting herbs from the back mountain 2
By the time I had worked so hard to dig up a basket full of fragrant grass, the sun had already set to the west.
I looked back at the hateful eleventh senior brother. He was leaning lazily on the tree trunk, with the plain fan that was swinging around all day covering his face to block the light.
Humph, I asked you to come and monitor me early in the morning. You should be asleep this time!
I smiled secretly, ignored him, and silently carried a basket full of fragrant grass on my back on the bluestone road.
Hehe, just sleep alone in this barren mountain until night!
The sun was very hot in the sky. I carried a bamboo basket on my back and climbed the mountain road for a while, then I felt a little sweaty.
I supported a parasol tree on the side of the road and rested for a while. Suddenly I remembered that there was a clear and shallow mountain stream not far from here. It was quite interesting. It would be a good idea to go there and wash my face.
So, I happily changed my direction and ran towards the mountain stream.
"Hua la la la" was the crisp sound of the flowing stream. I felt happy and took two quick steps to reach the edge of the stream.
The water is clear, shallow, and graceful. It nimbly skirts the uneven rocks and flows deep into the green mountains. Several green grasses on the shore have grown longer and drooped into the water, swaying with the stream.
, very gratifying.
I found a large flat rock, put the bamboo basket on it, and hurried to the stream.
I stretched my hand into the stream, and immediately, the coolness and refreshing feeling entered my spleen. Well, I sighed with satisfaction, poured some water and washed my face happily.
I stared at the projection in the water again. Alas, my fair and tender face turned a little red when exposed to the sun. When I walked in a hurry, the plum blossom hairpin on my head was also a little crooked. Alas, I am a noble and elegant boudoir.
The lady has become like this, alas...
I sighed again and stretched out my hand to pull the veil.
Hey, my sleeves are empty. I was in a hurry to go out this morning and didn’t bring a veil?
Do you want to wait here with water on your face and hands to be dried by the mountain wind?
Well, since I’m not wearing a veil, it’s quite interesting...
I leaned back and sat down on the grass by the stream.
Suddenly, the thin and long hand stretched out again, and this time the slender fingers pinched a white plain handkerchief.
Huh, when did he catch up?
I ignored Na Supa, calmly and indifferently pulled up my sleeves and wiped my face clean.
I took a deep breath and slowly raised my head. I saw my eleventh senior brother standing on the bluestone by the stream, looking at me with unfathomable eyes.
I just thought he was a strange stone on the shore. I silently brushed my clothes and stood up to carry the bamboo basket.
Unexpectedly, the eleventh senior brother was one step ahead of me and snatched the bamboo basket away.
I was unwilling to give in. That was the grass I had worked so hard for most of the day to dig out. How could he even rob it?
I hurriedly stepped forward, grabbed the edge of the basket tightly, and looked at him angrily.
He lowered his eyes and looked at me for a long time, then suddenly raised the corner of his mouth and said jokingly: "Your bravery is really interesting."
I was stunned and my hands relaxed.
He took the opportunity to lift the bamboo basket and swung it on his back easily, "Let's go."
Senior Brother Eleven...he actually helped me carry the basket?
I shook my head and looked at him in disbelief, but he smiled softly and pulled my sleeves calmly.
Wow, my face was burning.
He glanced at me with a smile, loosened my sleeves, turned around gracefully, and turned onto the bluestone road with light steps.
I stared at the back of his fluttering white robe, hurriedly patted his hot face twice, and followed him half-heartedly. By the time I had worked so hard to dig up a basket full of fragrant grass, the sun had already turned sideways.
West.
