Chapter 2086 The viewing platform on Tianwang Mountain

At the end of autumn, Yiyin set off from Shoryuji Castle, followed the Katsura River, and arrived at Yamazaki.

On the day of his arrival, he took Mitsuhide Akechi, Fujitaka Hosokawa and the escorts to Mount Tenno and stopped at the Yamazaki Tenno Shrine.

Mount Tenno is located at the southern end of the Nishiyama Mountains in the western part of the Kyoto Basin, across the mountains from the Tanba Plateau, and forms an isthmus with Otokoyama, becoming the intersection of the Katsura River, Uji River, and Kizugawa River.

These three rivers merge into the Yodo River here, flowing to Settsu Province and out to sea at Osaka Bay.

Since ancient times, this place has been an important military base for entering and exiting the western gateway of Kyoto, and Yodo Castle has become an important gateway town because of its favorable location.

During the Yamazaki confrontation, Akechi Mitsuhide was stationed at Tennoyama, and he and Matsunagahide of Yodo Castle were at odds with each other, so he had the confidence to keep out the menacing Ichijo Hideyoshi.

Unfortunately, Matsuhisa Nagahide had already gone against his will. He opened the door to the thieves and joined forces with Ichijo Hideyoshi. Akechi Mitsuhide was attacked from both sides and almost died on Mount Tenno.

In the end, it was Hosokawa Fujitaka who decisively came to the rescue and sent troops from Shoryuji Castle to open up the front line of Katsura River, protecting Akechi Mitsuhide's smooth retreat.

Matsunagahide, a conspirator who sat on the fence, also suffered the consequences. He was deceived by Ichijo Hideyoshi into opening the gate of Yodo Castle, and his whole family died.

Just because Yodo Castle is so important, Hideyoshi Ichijo has sent his cronies to occupy it to this day. Even though Fushimi Castle has been handed back to the saint, he still hasn't mentioned a word about the ownership of Yodo Castle.

Therefore, Yoshigan could only take the Katsura River route from Katsuryuji Castle this time, and directly look at Otokoyama on the other side from Mount Tenno in Yamazaki, where Ashikaga Yoshiaki will worship at the Ishikimizu Hachimangu Shrine.

The intersection of the Katsura River, Uji River, and Kizugawa River has abundant water resources and rapids. The Yamazaki Bridge built several times since ancient times has been washed away by the water flow.

Protected by a Yodo Castle controlled by Hideyoshi and blocked by rivers, Ashikaga Yoshiaki can worship the Hachiman God at Ishikimizu Hachimangu Shrine with peace of mind.

And Yoshigine was not a poisonous person like Akechi Mitsuhide. He never thought of raiding Otokoyama and killing Ashikaga Yoshiaki.

With all the attention of the samurai from all over the world, he climbed up to the Yamazaki Tenno Shrine halfway up Mount Tenno, waited for the sacrifice of Ashikaga Yoshiaki to be completed, and then took Ninagawa Hatakeyama and other ministers to cross the river by boat to reconcile.

It was late autumn at this time, and the red leaves all over the mountains and fields were like fire. Yoshigan sat in the formation and looked at the Nanshan Mountains visible in the distance, talking to Akechi Mitsuhide and Hosokawa Fujitaka beside him.

"This is a good place. The three rivers converge and go west. I don't know how many famous people were taken away."

The Kazu clan originated from the Nara Basin. They first conquered the Kyoto Basin and then began their great cause of conquering the island nation.

The first step in expanding from the Kyoto Basin is to conquer the Omi Basin to the east and the Osaka Plain to the west.

Over the past thousand years, countless outstanding people from the island countries have marched westward along the Yodogawa River, captured the fertile land of Osaka, sailed the Seto Inland Sea, and made great achievements.

There is such a talented person in this generation, and all three of them were filled with emotion.

Yiyin pointed to the river and said.

"The water flow is too fast. If we want to truly connect the north and the south, just relying on ferries is not enough.

When the world is at peace, I will mobilize manpower and material resources to fill in the river and build embankments to separate the Uji River and the Kizugawa River, alleviate the flooding, and then build bridges."

Akechi Mitsuhide smiled.

"The saint is righteous and compassionate, and has people's livelihood at heart. We are far inferior to him. I only hope that the troubled times will end soon. I am full of expectations for the saint to rule the world."

Yiyin sighed.

“There is a saying in heaven that governing a big country is like cooking small dishes. The more we look forward to the future, the more cautious we must be and not leave too much trouble for our descendants.

It is also unacceptable to always use the excuse that each generation has its own mission, and then just feel at ease and leave all the troubles to future generations.

When doing things, you should consider the situation of future generations more, so that future generations can live a good life for a few days.

Otherwise, each generation will always suffer hardships, and each generation will suffer endless hardships. What is the meaning of our struggle over the years?"

Mitsuhide Akechi and Fujitaka Hosokawa bowed together.

"The saint is wise."

Yiyin shook his head.

"I'm not wise. I just understand that enough is enough, but Mitsuhide Akechi doesn't understand what you are so anxious about. You have to eat to fill up your fat body in one go."

Akechi Mitsuhide said calmly.

"The saint is too kind, and there are always villains who don't know what is good and what is evil, and try to take advantage of the saint's good intentions.

It is inconvenient for a saint to argue with these villains, and someone has to come forward to scare the monkeys, so that the restless people know how to be grateful and restrain themselves."

Yiyin sighed and said.

"You're still not sober enough, don't take yourself too seriously, Mitsuhide.

The three of us are all members of the same family. It is not convenient for me to say it outside. How can the Wu family repay their kindness? The rewards given by the public are just for each of us to take what we need.

I won the world by following the destiny of heaven.

Those who obey me will prosper, and those who go against me will perish. Those who do not know how to respect me will be punished by God. There is no need for you to be troublesome.

Akechi Mitsuhide, let me tell you, if you act like this, you will end up hurting your own fortune and longevity. As for the burden of Shiba's world, it is not your turn to bear it, that is my business.

I was ordered from heaven and came to this world to save the people of the island country who are struggling in troubled times.

Those who oppose me will not end well, and you will not end well if you act recklessly with a martyrdom.

I can save you once, twice, but I can't bring you back every time.

So, stop messing around."

As he spoke, Yoshigan suddenly began to act like a magician, almost a master of dance, and Akechi Mitsuhide and Hosokawa Fujitaka immediately looked at each other.

Seeing their expressions of trying to pretend to believe, but finding it hard to believe, Yiyin chuckled in his heart.

Buddhism has been boasting that Gigin is the descendant of Bishamonten for several years. There are three types of attitudes among the people of the island country towards Giagan, the living god.

One, believe.

Second, don’t believe it.

Third, be skeptical.

There are many people who believe it, especially the martial arts families in the Kanto region.

Back then, Yoshigan performed great miracles at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, which shocked the samurai families in the Kanto Plain. Coupled with the conservative traditions of Kanto, many people had no doubts about Yoshigan's identity as a living god.

There are many people who don't believe it, especially smart people like Akechi Mitsuhide and Hosokawa Fujitaka.

In their view, the main purpose of the saint embarking on the Shinto path is to deceive the ignorant people and women, and to stabilize the political means of the world.

The biggest problem of smart people is that they are too smart. It is difficult for them to believe in the myth that it rains in the sky, hair grows on the ground, and God sends a great savior.

They would rather believe that careful planning and preparation in advance can create a miracle that fools most people.

Perhaps to Akechi Mitsuhide and Hosokawa Fujitaka, the most inexplicable thing about Yoshigami is his eternal sixteen-year-old appearance.

But there is a saying that there is a frozen-aged male god in this world. Yiyin is only twenty-seven or eighty-year-old now, which makes people believe that he is a god of eternal youth, which is somewhat exaggerated.

If he lived to be seventy or eighty years old and still looked like a sixteen-year-old boy, he would be more convincing and shocking than now.
