Chapter 35 The incredible patron saint

Charles flew up under the night sky, thrown by the centaurs.

The elder looked at the pile of supplies that Charles had sent overnight on the ground, with a bright smile on his face.

Although the arrows will have to wait for a while, these are enough for the tribe to spend a relatively comfortable winter.

After Charles flew for five minutes, everyone put him down. He handed the list of required materials to the great elder. The great elder said that it was no problem. He would go to the warehouse to look through the warehouse tomorrow morning, and those that were not available would be collected first.

The great elder directed other centaurs to move the supplies into the warehouse and distribute them tomorrow, and everyone went back to their homes to sleep.

Charles still lives at Twilight's house, and the centaur girl is arranging some beautiful feathers next to a pot of glowing plants.

The horse people would collect some brightly colored feathers, arrange them into leaf or flower patterns, and stick them on the wall with tree glue for decoration.

The feather decoration on the wall of Twilight's house is very old. She just shoveled it clean a few days ago and is preparing to replace it with a new one.

Charles squatted aside and watched for a while, counting the days, then turned to ask Twilight: "Can I exchange sugar for some beautiful feathers with you?"

"Okay!" Twilight laughed, "You can take whichever one you like."

Charles found two feathers of different colors, one of which was blue, which should be the feather of a soundless bird. Twilight had quite a few, so he exchanged them one jellybean for another.

The next morning, he took a walk in the tribe and collected enough colorful feathers.

He had nothing to do that day, so he followed Twilight and the other girls to the wild to pick fruits.

The outer shell of this maroon fruit is a bit hard, and the flesh inside can only be eaten after it begins to rot.

The girls have a clear division of labor. The older ones use poles to knock down the ripe fruits, while the younger ones pick them up in baskets.

Charles used the flying spell to help them and completed the day's work in half a day.

In the afternoon, Charles came to the small lake where he first met Twilight and began to practice the second spell rewarded by the old man.

This magic spell from the East is called "Chaoyang Fengming". After casting the spell, a flaming phoenix like the rising sun will fly out from the top of the wand, burning everything passing by. It will explode when it finally hits the target, and it will also emit a sound while flying.

A pleasant sound.

Although the effect of this spell is similar to that of "Burning Flame", its appearance is particularly cool, which is enough.

The magic that Jack learned while traveling around has two characteristics. It is either not available in the UK or it looks very cool. This is obviously the latter.

Charles still remembered that "Chaoyang Fengming" and several other spells were in the same series, as well as the "Thousand Miles Ice Phoenix" that cast an ice phoenix, and the "Phoenix to Taiwan" that used to use the wind phoenix to blow away the target or blow away oneself.

"Empty", the "Phoenix in the Cradle" used to imprison the opponent, and the ultimate move "Hundred Birds Facing the Phoenix", etc. are all magic spells with extremely stunning visual effects.

He was thinking that maybe the old man would issue tasks in other forms next, and these magic spells would be the task rewards.

This afternoon, from time to time, there were palm-sized flaming chickens wailing and flying over the lake, and Charles had a black hair.

But Twilight next to her didn't know what the special effect of this spell should be. Whenever she saw the flaming chicken blowing up the lake water into high water columns, she would always scream with joy.

In her eyes, a powerful spell is a good spell, and if it explodes, it means the spell is successful.

Charles practiced for a while and felt that he should have made a mistake somewhere.

He quickly thought that he had been thinking in English all these years, and this curse was not in English. It was probably caused by the temporary bilingual switch.

So Charles closed his eyes, started by memorizing the multiplication tables, and spent ten minutes switching his mind.

"Chaoyang Fengming!"

This time the spell was more successful, it was no longer a fat chicken but a phoenix, but the phoenix's tail was a bit short.

Twilight patted him on the shoulder and comforted him: "It's okay. Although he has lost a little weight, he still looks good."

Charles smiled and practiced for a while before he looked good.

Next he decided to try the Patronus Charm.

Yesterday, he quietly asked the old man about the Patronus Charm. The old man just said that he should practice according to the book.

Charles stood by the lake, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and relaxed himself and his mind.

He tried to recall the happiest things in his memory: witnessing the "Hand of God" at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on June 22, 1986, and seeing several 0's on his bank account after returning to the UK in July.

……

The wand kept drawing circles, and a faint silvery white haze appeared in the circle.

As the light became thicker and thicker, Charles felt that he seemed to be in the happiest moment of his life, and more and more pleasant memories appeared in his mind, whether they were from this life or the previous life.

Just when he felt that he had reached the peak, he chanted the incantation: "Calling the gods to protect you!"

A silvery-white light shot out from the top of the wand and fell on the grass in front.

Twilight cheered on the sidelines. Although she didn’t know what the situation was, it must be a very powerful spell to conjure something.

Charles looked at his patron saint and fell silent.

He once imagined that his patron saint was very cool, and he also told himself that it would be nice if he was ordinary.

Charles has thought about things that fly in the sky, swim in the water, run on the ground, and crawl into the mud, but he never thought that his patron saint would actually look like this.

He quickly recalled every detail about the Patronus Charm, and soon thought that people's Patronus could change. For example, Lupine's wife's Patronus turned into a wolf after she fell in love with Lupine.<

But that is also a wolf, not just a human like me!

Twilight's confused voice interrupted Charles' thoughts: "Why are you crying?"

Charles was stunned, wiped his tears, and replied perfunctorily: "The sand was blown into his eyes by the wind just now."

"That's it." Twilight believed, "Then I'll help you do it."

She reached out her hand, held Charles' face, and leaned over to help him blow his eyes.

Charles immediately shook his head, wiped his eyes with his sleeve, wiped his face again, forced a smile and said: "It doesn't matter, just wipe it."

Then he lifted the spell and said to Twilight: "I'm going back to the castle first. See you next week. You should go back quickly."

Twilight responded softly, looking at Charles's leaving back with some worry.

Charles walked for a while and felt a little irritable. Soon he got some clues, maybe it was related to the missing part of his past life memory.

This made Charles a little irritated. He finally understood how Neville felt when he saw the memory ball reminding him of forgetting things but couldn't remember what he had forgotten. Finally, he decided to use a broomstick to vent his frustration. He took out his broomstick and rode on it.

Go up and rush towards the sunset as fast as possible.
