Chapter 36 Birthday Gift

Charles flew a broomstick in the mountains north of Hogwarts all night, and the biting cold wind made his head sober.

He thought of some clues, but he had no idea how to go deeper, and the only one who could answer this question was Voldemort.

But asking him requires skills, and you have to create an atmosphere.

Charles returned to the castle, went to the kitchen for a meal and went to the Requirement Room and Bathroom for a bath. When he finally entered the common room, most people had already gone to the dormitory to rest, and the only sound in the empty hall was from the fireplace.

The crackling sound, and the sound of Hermione sitting in front of the fireplace turning the pages of a book.

Charles hasn't spoken to her since the first day of flying lessons. They were all busy with their own things.

Hermione was reading the book very seriously. Judging from the pages she turned, she had probably been sitting there without moving since dinner. She probably had lost track of time now, so naturally she wouldn't have known that Charles had walked behind her and said

I got my own Tian Ling Gai sword.

"Woo!"

Hermione covered her head, turned around and saw Charles, and pouted.

"Why bother me reading?!" Hermione looked very angry.

Charles said angrily: "Do you know what time it is now? I'm still reading. If I don't go to bed quickly, will I not have to go to class tomorrow?"

Only then did Hermione realize that it was very late, so she said: "I'll read two more pages and then go back to the dormitory... ugh..."

After reading two more pages, the principal who said something similar yesterday was scolded by the vice-principal for a long time, so Charles struck again.

Hermione was like a child whose parents had taken away her cell phone while she was trying to score points. She could only look at Charles with her lips pouting angrily.

Charles took out the beautiful feathers he had exchanged from the centaur tribe and handed them to her, and said with a smile: "I gave them to you, you can use them as bookmarks. Although it's a few days late, happy birthday!"

At this time, Hermione's expression could be said to change faster than flipping through a book. A smile of surprise suddenly appeared on her face. After taking the feather, she immediately observed it carefully, her eyes shining with excitement.

No matter how smart she is, she is just a little girl who has just turned 12 years old. She is as interested in beautiful gadgets as other girls of the same age. Not to mention that this was a birthday gift from a good friend after she thought no one would remember her birthday, even if it was late.

It took two days to receive a replacement, which is enough to make people happy.

Charles looked at Hermione quietly from the side, with a kind smile on his face.

After Hermione's excitement wore off, Charles said to her: "Okay, it's getting late, go back to bed quickly."

Unexpectedly, Hermione smiled and said: "I'll read another page..."

When she saw Charles' hand knife raised again, she immediately subconsciously held her head in her hands and pouted again: "Let me tell you, I made an incredible discovery about the history of the disappearance of Hogwarts...

Ouch!"

Charles withdrew the knife from Hermione's celestial cap and said with a sullen face: "Don't look at what time it is now. Even if Hogwarts disappears tomorrow, you still have to go to bed now."

Hermione finally put away the book and left with a pouted mouth. Charles looked at her back walking up the stairs of the girls' dormitory, sat on the chair and sighed, feeling that the child was too old to be managed.<

Time passed slowly, and the lives of the first-year newcomers in Hogwarts began to get on the right track. After mastering the basic principles of magic, everyone began to become more comfortable in casting spells.

There was also a little incident during this period, not from the students, but from the professor.

On the fourth morning of October, when all the teachers and students in the school were having breakfast, a dozen owls pulled a huge piece of cargo and fluttered into the cafeteria.

The students immediately started talking because the packaging of the goods looked like flying broomsticks. Everyone started talking about who had bought new goods.

However, the owls did not stop at any of the four long tables, but flew to the professor's chair, and finally landed in front of Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall had a question mark, thinking that she didn't buy a second broomstick. Could it be that she gave it to the wrong broomstick, or was she a lucky customer who could buy one and get one free when she bought Harry a broom last time?

Dumbledore smiled beside him and said: "Today is an extraordinary day."

Professor McGonagall was silent and turned to look at Dumbledore. I am afraid that in the whole Hogwarts, this old best friend was the only one who knew that today was his birthday. Flitwick, who was enrolled in the same class, probably didn't even remember it, let alone

Talking about other professors.

As for who sent the gift, Professor McGonagall knew without thinking. She looked at Charles on the Gryffindor table and sighed in her heart.

Charles had expected it and was concentrating on talking to Neville at the moment: "It's not a solution if your Leif keeps getting lost. I suggest you learn the Flying Curse."

Ron, who was sitting opposite, immediately answered: "I've heard of this curse. It was mentioned in "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot" that the son of the original owner of the Hopping Pot used this spell to help his neighbor find his lost donkey.

."

"The Wizard and the Hopping Cauldron" is a story in the wizard's fairy tale book "The Tales of Beedle the Bard". All the children in the wizarding family have read it, and Neville kept nodding after hearing it.

A capitalist smile appeared on Charles' face, and he said to Neville seriously: "When you have time, go to the open space next to the greenhouse and I will teach you this magic spell."

Neville said worriedly: "I'm afraid I won't be able to learn."

He still looks like a coward, worried about everything he does.

"It doesn't matter." Charles said, "It's not normal to learn it, because the Flying Curse is learned by fourth-grade students. It's better to try it, just in case you learn it."

At this time, Seamus on the other side asked him in surprise: "Can you use the magic spell that is only taught in fourth grade?"

It was only after Seamus said this that Neville and Ron reacted. Charles said he could teach Neville, which means he can.

Charles replied nonchalantly: "What's the matter? The seventh grader didn't know the magic spell you used that day, so you also used it."

Seamus immediately said triumphantly: "You are right, very right!"

Then he asked Charles: "Can I learn too?"

Charles thought that the Flying Curse would not explode, so he nodded and said: "The Flying Curse is actually very simple. Just master the trick and you can learn it too."

"What about me?" Ron also asked, "Can I do it too?"

Recently, Harry has been secretly practicing Quidditch whenever he has free time. No one is playing with him anymore, so he is very busy.

Charles naturally agreed. As the saying goes, there is strength in numbers, and it is just right to have one more free labor force.

So everyone decided that there would be no classes tomorrow afternoon, so everyone would go to the open space and Charles would teach them the flying spell.
