Chapter 56 Testimonials

…

The Necromancer will be available after midnight on 6.1, so there is a lot of nonsense to talk about.

The review of this chapter is divided into three parts, namely: "The unlucky author's misfortune", "A true discussion of the writing method and plot" and "The update explanation of the humble and cowardly".

Readers can skip the parts they are not interested in.

"The unlucky author's misfortune" (please leave a message if you skip)

Readers who have followed me all the way from Master probably know that I am really unlucky.

When Fa Ye was in the new book period, he had an attack of kidney stones and lost his manuscript; when he was getting better in the middle period, tenosynovitis and arthritis broke out; in the later period, the recurrence of kidney stones was treated surgically.

After finishing writing "Fa Ye", I took a good rest and started the Tribulation Transcendence.

In order to deal with tenosynovitis, I specially learned the voice input method and adjusted a lot of writing habits for this purpose.

Use voice input to free up your hands. I actually mentioned this in my acceptance speech when Du Jie was released.

Then.

I got chronic pharyngitis in the winter when I was writing Transcendence of Tribulation (a big failure in voice input!).

I was really desperate at the time.

After cutting off Tribulation due to the subject matter, I thought I could no longer write.

I even feel that I have become a useless person.

My hands can't write, my mouth can't speak, what else can I do?

But after half a year, I finally felt unwilling and faced the pressure of life, so I cheered up again.

My hand recovered a lot, and I started learning Shuangpin input method, which can reduce the number of keystrokes by half.

My voice has also recovered, and I will use voice input in my daily life to relieve the pressure on my hands.

The first 200,000 words of Necromancer that you have seen.

I pieced it together bit by bit using my unfamiliar pinyin + pronunciation.

To be honest, it's not easy.

The Necromancer's results were good, and I thought my efforts were finally bearing fruit.

Then half a month ago, I got yang.

Because it was the first time I had Yang, the reaction was severe. I had a fever for 8 days and am still coughing. I have some symptoms of COVID-19.

At the worst time, my fever reached 39.8, but I still kept writing that day.

I haven’t stopped updating the manuscript even after I finished it, and the number of words every day is really quite a lot.

On the one hand, I cherish this hard-won opportunity.

On the other hand it is my anger that sustains me.

That's right.

Just anger!

I'm really angry. Why is it so difficult for me to write a novel?

I obviously don't use my hands more than others, but tenosynovitis and arthritis have to come to my door?

I also have chronic pharyngitis. I'm a taciturn person who doesn't smoke or drink, so I just used voice input for a while and that's it?

I'm really angry.

Every word I write is much harder than others.

I hate my body, it's as brittle as glass.

I also really envy anyone who has a pair of healthy hands.

But maybe this is life.

After the anger.

I became even more eager to finish writing a work that would satisfy me.

Incomparable longing.

Ten times, a hundred times stronger than ordinary people!

I even thought about it.

If my hands and voice fail, even if I learn to type with my feet, I will still write novels!

This is my obsession and my livelihood.

The eight days of high fever were enough to prove my will.

I will keep writing.

Try your best.

Go to hell.

(The selling session ends)

"A real discussion on writing and plot" (please leave a message if you skip)

Before writing The Necromancer, I wrote more than thirty chapters, ranging from 6,000 words to 50,000 words.

The beginning of the 50,000-word chapter is also a Western fantasy, but it is relatively more royal. I can write it well, but I always feel that it is full of routines and lacks a flavor.

So I still threw it into the scrap pile.

When the beginning of The Necromancer was given to the editor.

He was a little worried and asked me if I should delete the dialogue with the five-person committee at the beginning. He was worried that in this impetuous era, the protagonist's appearance too late would cause the book to be ignored.

I refused.

My answer is: "If you delete that paragraph, the book will be no different from other works, and it will lose my flavor."

I'm stubborn, but also scared.

Until the eve of the recommendation, I was worried about whether I would be persuaded to quit at the beginning.

fine.

thank you all.

The Necromancer finally reached the top of the list of new books.

In fact.

The characters involved in this chapter 001 all appear later, and everyone has a certain role.

This is also a microcosm of why I wrote the book Necromancer.

Many people say that I have come back to write a game about another world and a Western fantasy. They think this book is similar to Master, but it is not.

When I was a master, I just wanted to write cool, mindless stories, so the gameplay was greater than the fantasy.

Not so with the Necromancer.

As you can see at this point in this book, it is more fantasy than game.

I want to write about more than just the protagonist.

It's the story of the protagonist and a group of people around him.

in this story.

Kindness is the most basic tone, whether it is the protagonist Matthew, or the people around him: Rhaegar, Sif, Zeller, Eli, Paige, Lulu, Ella...

In this era of excessive violence, I really want to write a book in which the main character is kind-hearted. Even if it ends up being a bit like a fairy tale, I'm happy with it.

also.

I also hope that after watching The Necromancer, not only Matthew will stay in everyone's mind, but also all kinds of other characters.

To sum it up, this is a story about a group of kind people who surround a kind-hearted protagonist who cheats, and ultimately affect the world together.

I will try my best to write it better.

"Update Notes of Humble and Cowardly"

If you have read the above two links, you should have guessed that the author cannot make updates like those tentacle monsters.

The large number of updates in the new book issue and the number of manuscripts consumed by the new crown epidemic meant that there was no way to break out on the first day.

I can only try to be stable.

For the two major reasons of protecting the body and ensuring the quality of the work, the current plan is to update 6,000 to 8,000 words every day.

I will try to write as much as possible during the month of release.

But I dare not guarantee it.

I hope everyone can understand and be considerate.

at last.

Don’t forget to empty your ticket warehouse at the end of the month.

And please subscribe after midnight!

Thank you all.
