Chapter 19 The Council of Elders

Arriving on the stage, Snorri found that there were two men and two women sitting in a circle with Thor Green. In addition to Thor Green, there was one person he recognized, that was Uncle Dragon Hammer who appeared in the previous article.<

Their eyes met, Long Chui laughed at him, and put the wine glass in Snorri's hand.

The elder gave the gift, so Snorri took a sip. He was surprised to find that the beer refreshed him. Looking at the runes shining on the wine glass, he realized that this wine glass was not ordinary!<

"An extra chair?" Thorgreen asked in a questioning tone.

"Of course!" the eldest man among the five said decisively

"Since the ancestors and gods transformed this world, there has never been a reason for a rune master to stand up for a meeting!"

Soon, a chair was brought over by the guard in the hall, Snorri sat facing Thor Green, and the meeting officially began.

"Snorri, this is your first time sitting here for a meeting. Let me introduce you to the elders of our clan!" Thor Green, as the clan leader, spoke.

He first looked at the older man sitting to his left with a beard that had fallen to the ground.

"This is Grandpa Dolson. You should call him Grandpa Snorri. He is the eldest member of our clan. He currently keeps our clan's Book of Hatred and is also the person in charge of the school."

Each dwarf clan has its own book of hatred, and some families even have their own small books. The book of hatred is usually kept by the clan leader, but if the clan leader has a more important book of hatred that needs to be kept, this task will be given to the youngest

Long male dwarf.

The old dwarf showed a kind smile to Snorri:

"That's great, kid. I watched the snow on the Eternal Peak melt and solidify five hundred and twenty-three times, but I have never seen the gods show their grace during these five hundred and twenty-three years."

He paused, and Thorgreen handed over the wine glass. "Now, knowing that they have not abandoned their children, I can go to the hall of my ancestors with peace of mind!"

"Don't say that! Grandpa (uncle)" Several other dwarves shouted when they heard this.

Dolson stretched out his hand and pressed it, "Don't worry! I still want to see our clan and even the entire dwarf race return to its former glory! Surely Granny is not in a hurry to get an old miner like me, right?" The old dwarf smiled broadly.

Happy, my beard and eyebrows trembled together.

In dwarf society, age is the most respected virtue. There is a saying that "the wisdom of a dwarf depends on his beard."

Dorson originally had a low status in the clan and did not even have a very impressive nickname, but as he became the oldest member, he also joined the Presbyterian Church.

Thorgreen then looked at the older woman on his right, "This is Grandma Jade Hand, the wife of the late King Orrickson!"

Hearing this, Snorri couldn't help but look up and down at this older woman. She has smooth silver hair, and her hairstyle is in the bohemian style of a Greek goddess. Although the years have left traces on her face,

It can be seen that she was a beauty when she was young.

"She is now the chief priest of Varaya Temple, and is also responsible for managing the women and children of our clan. Snorri, you three siblings were all delivered by her!"

The belief centers of the three dwarf ancestor gods were originally established in the three most important fortresses of the Mountain Kingdom.

In the important northern town of Karak-Kadrin, there is the largest butcher shrine in the entire mountain kingdom, and it is also called the Butcher's Fort.

The war god Grimnir in the ancestral era last appeared here before entering the Chaos Wasteland. His followers followed his footsteps and came here, built Karak-Kaderin and eventually developed into the center of the war god's faith. It is also the center of the dwarves.

The holy land of butchers, where most dwarf butchers complete the shaving ceremony and embark on the path of pursuing a death full of honor.

The Eternal Peak, Karaz-a-Karak, is the center of faith of the Lord God Granny. This is the first fortress built by the ancestor gods after they came to the Old World from Lustria. The god of mining and forging, Gruni, personally

He laid the foundation for it and led his sons to build its main body. This is the current capital of the Mountain Kingdom, and the headquarters of the Miners' Guild and the Blacksmith's Guild are also located here.

The center of belief of the ancestor goddess Valaya was originally in Karak-Eight Peaks Mountain, Queen of the Silver Abyss. This is an important town connecting the north and south of the World's Edge Mountains. It has the most developed underground network and the richest mineral deposits. It was prosperous in the golden age.

Comparable to Karaz-a-Karak, the Ancestor Goddess loved this place so much that she laid the foundation stone for the fortress and carved her emblem on the fortress gate.

But in the dark ages, it fell under the attack of the greenskins and Skavens, and the former Wallaya's Gate has become the current Wallaya's sad place. As the royal family of the Eight Peaks Mountain came to Karaz

-A-Karak took refuge, and the center of Valaya's faith was also moved here. Generally speaking, the woman with the most respected status will serve as the chief priest of the Temple of the Ancestral Goddess.

Grandma Jade Hands was extremely affectionate towards Snorri, the "Choice of the Goddess", and pulled him to ask questions. You must know that although she has been a goddess priest for hundreds of years, she has never received a response from the goddess. Every ceremony

It’s just a formality.

The third person Thorgreen introduced was Dragon Hammer: "This is my cousin, who is now the commander of our clan's army and the most heroic warrior of the clan!"

Long Chui held his beard and said modest words, but he smiled very happily.

"At that time, Snorri charged directly at the fat and stupid dead goblin. It was a bit like my style back then. I thought back then that blind dazzling star dragon dared to invade our Eternal Peak. Huh, I was the first one to rush up.

.."

"I rushed forward and was slapped away by a claw, and my beard was burned off with a breath of dragon's breath?" The last relatively young female dwarf interrupted him with a smile,

"Granny, Klimt, you should really learn from the bards on the human side. It's just this story that goes back and forth, and all the rats in the gutter will know it by heart!"

Only then did Snorri realize the reason why his gray beard only grew to his chest. He couldn't help but admire Uncle Klim's courage.

During the bickering between the two, Thorgreen began to introduce the last female dwarf, "Sonia the Arguer, my biological sister. She loved you the most when you were a child!"

"Poor child" Sonia touched Snorri's head, "My miserable sister-in-law will definitely be proud of your achievements in the ancestral hall!" Her words made the cheerful atmosphere heavy.<

"She now manages the production within our clan. She is responsible for pastures, salt brine, spices, dyes, etc. If you need anything, just ask her!" Thorgreen frowned and continued.

"The other elders have important matters to attend to. Let's start the meeting now to discuss what rewards the clan should give Master Snorri." Thorgreen continued after introducing the four elders.<
