Chapter 437 Duan Hongxuan: I am really proficient in all aspects of music, chess, calligraphy and painting

Duan Hongxuan's idea of changing the steel rolling mill on his own made the three ladies sitting here stunned. This seemed incredible to them!

But now Duan Hongxuan is actually doing this. Qin Huairu looked at Duan Hongxuan carefully in surprise and said: "I really don't know how you got such a brain. It doesn't matter that you are capable. The key is that there are many

You dare to think things that others dare not think of. Not only do you dare to think, you also dare to do it!

You are still a student now, and you dare to plan the future development of the steel rolling mill. Who would dare to believe this!

But when these words come out of your mouth, it makes people feel that you can really do it!

Gee! This is so surprising!

You are not a leader, you do not hold any official position, and you are not an employee of a steel rolling mill, but you can influence a large factory like a steel rolling mill with just your own skills and knowledge!

It seems that this person still has to rely on his own ability!"

He Yuyu and Yu Haitang, who were standing next to them, were looking at Duan Hongxuan with stars in their eyes!

Duan Hongxuan warned again: "We've just finished talking about this matter today, but it's okay for you to know about it for the time being. Don't go around making noises. It will be bad when the time comes!"

"Don't worry Hongxuan, there are no talkative people here!

And even if we go out and tell others, they will think that we are just fanciful. Who would believe it!

Sister Qin has decided that from now on, my two daughters will be left to you! You yourself said that boys and girls are the same, and this daughter is more considerate and filial to her parents!

Now I have no hope for my son, and I am left with two daughters, one of whom is still in my belly!

In the future, I hope to train my two daughters to become talents, so that I can enjoy happiness with my daughters!

Hongxuan, whether Sister Qin will be able to enjoy happiness when she gets old in the future, I will rely on you to help me raise my daughter!"

When Duan Hongxuan heard Qin Huairu's words, he half-jokingly said: "Sister Qin, how do you want me to train your daughters? Train them into ladies? Make them proficient in all kinds of music, chess, calligraphy and painting?"

Qin Huairu also followed the lead: "The relationship is so good, I really want it!

Then let’s make an agreement like this. From now on, my two daughters will be left to you. If they can’t become ladies in the future, I will have to settle the score with you!

By the way, Hongxuan, do you know how to play chess, calligraphy and painting?"

"Tch! Sister Qin, it's not okay to look down on people! Ask Yu Yu yourself. If nothing else, ask her how good I am at calligraphy and painting!"

Qin Huairu and Yu Haitang both looked at He Yuyu, and He Yuyu responded a little proudly: "I don't know much about calligraphy and painting, but I have seen Brother Hongxuan's paintings, and by the way, Brother Hongxuan's senior brother has also seen them.

!

According to his senior brother, Brother Hongxuan's calligraphy and painting skills are unmatched by anyone in the world, and he can compare with all the famous calligraphers and painters in history!"

Yu Haitang didn't know what happened to Duan Hongxuan's senior brother, but Qin Huairu knew. She asked He Yuyu in surprise: "Are you talking about Hongxuan's senior brother who is the imperial doctor?"

"Yes, that's him! He also said that in the past, Brother Hongxuan's calligraphy and paintings would have been hard to find for ten thousand dollars!" He Yuyu affirmed.

"I really didn't realize it. You seem to be well-deserved for your reputation as a young scholar!

You have calligraphy and painting, and you are so smart, I am afraid that playing chess will not be difficult for you, but we have never seen this piano before!

Speaking of which, Hongxuan, Sister Qin would like to ask you, what kind of harp does the harp refer to when people talk about chess, calligraphy and painting all the time? If you know, tell us about it so that we can also gain some knowledge!

He Yuyu and Yu Haitang immediately became interested, and He Yuyu also urged Duan Hongxuan to talk about the qin in chess, calligraphy and painting!

Duan Hongxuan picked up the tea cup and took a sip, moistening his throat, and then began to introduce to everyone: "The ancients called music, chess, calligraphy and painting, a way of leisure and entertainment that the ancients found for themselves in order to cultivate their sentiments!

Calligraphy and painting are easy to understand, they are calligraphy and painting!

In the process of practicing calligraphy or painting, people can calm down and hone their temperament!

Chess is not our common chess, but Go! You should also know Go! It is the kind of chess with black and white pieces!"

He Yuyu and Yu Haitang nodded, but Qin Huairu shook her head and said: "I don't know, I only know chess!"

Duan Hongxuan waved his hand: "It's okay. I'll bring back a set of Go for you to see later!

Let’s go on and finally let’s talk about this piano!

In terms of chess, calligraphy and painting, the qin ranks first, which shows that the ancients attached great importance to the qin!

So what exactly does the qin here refer to? It refers to the guqin! It is a unique musical instrument in ancient China that was exclusively used by literati and ladies!

There are many kinds of musical instruments unique to our country since ancient times, such as pipa, guzheng and so on!

But among all these musical instruments, except for the guqin, all other musical instruments are played by musicians or actors for the purpose of pleasing others and performing for others!

Only the guqin is not for others to perform, but for cultivating one's own sentiments! Other instruments are played for others to listen to, but only the guqin is played for oneself!

We all know that in the ancient times of our country, those in power were generally from aristocratic families, especially Confucianists. They had a great say and could even influence the replacement of dynasties!

If these people are interested in music, the only instrument they should and can learn is the guqin!

Based on this characteristic, the guqin is called a non-performance instrument, so the sound it plays is not as loud as other instruments!

What occasion is suitable for playing Guqin? A few literati, or a few ladies, all of whom are close friends, sit together, sip tea, then take out a Guqin and play it gracefully

While others were listening quietly!

If you put the guqin in a hall, and one person plays it on top, and many people listen below, then it’s time to stop playing, and many people below will not be able to hear clearly!

The sound of the guqin is very unique and cannot be simulated by any other musical instrument!

Anyone who hears the guqin playing can feel the tranquility and distance of the guqin! So silence is the biggest characteristic of the guqin!

And this quietness has two other meanings. One means that the environment must be quiet when playing the qin, and the other means that the people playing the qin and the people listening to the qin must also be in a quiet state of mind!

It is precisely because of this characteristic that the guqin has a very high and irreplaceable status among ancient literati!

In the eyes of the ancients, playing other instruments was to please others, and that was what musicians and actors did!

Who are musicians and actors? In ancient times, they were even worse than actors!

The guqin is the musical instrument that scholars and wealthy ladies should use. It can be used to cultivate their sentiments, stabilize their emotions, etc.

Therefore, in the eyes of the ancients, the guqin is superior to other musical instruments!

Guqin is also called lyre. As the name suggests, it has seven strings!

It is impossible to verify who invented the guqin in the first place.

There are records in some ancient books that the earliest guqin was invented by Fuxi, and some said it was the emperor, Shennong, etc.!

However, there are records that the guqin was finally designated as a five-stringed qin by Shun. Later, King Wen of Zhou added one string, turning it from a five-stringed qin to a six-stringed qin. Later, when King Wu defeated Zhou, he added another string, making the guqin a six-stringed qin.

He invented the lyre and fixed the seven strings from then on, which has been passed down to this day!

Therefore, it is said that the guqin is composed of five strings plus two civil and military strings.

The earliest guqin created by Fu Xi, the five strings represent the five elements inside: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, and the five outside notes: palace, business, horn, levy, and feather, and it symbolizes the king, ministers, people, and affairs.

These were the five social levels at that time. Later, King Wen of Zhou and King Wu of Zhou added two strings of civil and military respectively, symbolizing the harmony between the king and his ministers!

Another way to say it is that the five strings on the top of the guqin represent the five elements, the two strings on the bottom represent yin and yang, and the entire seven strings represent the yin and yang and the five elements!

Moreover, the total length of the guqin is three feet, six inches and five, which represents the 365 days in a year! The top panel of the guqin is arc-shaped and the bottom is flat, which represents the round sky and the square place!

There are also thirteen dot marks on the guqin. These thirteen dot marks represent the rhythm of the guqin, and are also called emblems! These thirteen emblem positions represent the twelve months of the year and another one.

Leap month!

Guqin has three kinds of timbres, namely overtones, scattered tones and pressed tones. The overtones are Fatian, the scattered tones are Fadi, and the pressed tones are Faren, which represent heaven, earth and people respectively!

Playing the guqin is not called playing, but called playing, so the ancients didn't call playing the qin, but called playing the qin!

The music score of Guqin is also different from our common music scores. It is a unique way of recording music scores by the ancients in our country, and it is specially used for Guqin, not other instruments!

The music score of Guqin is called subtracted character score, which means using the radicals of some Chinese characters and taking them out individually, or combining the radicals of several characters together to form a musical score!

If you understand the subtraction notation and get the Guqin music score, you will know how to play it, because for each subtraction notation, he actually tells you where to play with your left hand and where to play with your right hand!

Reducing calligraphy is quite interesting. If you are interested later, I can teach you!

The status of the guqin in ancient China was very high. For those ancient literati or wealthy ladies from aristocratic families, if you could play other musical instruments, you would be ridiculed by others, but if you could play the guqin, you would immediately be looked down upon by others!
In ancient times, many Guqin players were even treated politely as guests by high-ranking officials or nobles!

One of the most famous allusions in ancient times is that of Boya Ziqi. The two became close friends because of the guqin. They could feel each other's emotions from each other's music!

The so-called harp in the harmony of harp and harp also refers to the guqin! Speaking of which, let me mention the harp again. This is also a musical instrument. It is said that the sound is also very beautiful, and when combined with the guqin, it is very beautiful to play!

That’s why Qinse and Mingcai are used to describe the harmonious relationship between husband and wife!

In the earliest times, the status of the harp instrument was equal to that of the guqin, and it was also loved by literati and wealthy ladies. However, for some unknown reason, the harp instrument was later lost, so only the guqin remained.

A musical instrument specially used by literati!

If you are interested, my master left me a guqin, and I can show it to you later!"
