If possible, Lu Li would prefer a quick resolution.
But Lu Li couldn't. He didn't know whether the sculpture was a ghost or something else. The side effects of using the psychic gun were too great. It was equivalent to an irreversible progress bar. Every time it was held for a moment, the progress bar would move forward one space.
The result of abuse was that Lu Li was drawn closer to the evil spirit space.
So just like Hades said, "talk" to the ghost. The ghost has no tendency to attack, and Lu Li will not actively attack the ghost.
Dong dong dong——
Boom, boom, boom!
Suddenly there was a rapid and powerful knock on the door.
Lu Li sat down behind the table and looked sideways, listening quietly.
Dong dong dong——
Boom, boom, boom!
The knock on the door echoed in the empty and lonely gallery corridor.
"Who is it?" Lu Li asked outside the door, his tone as normal as if he was asking a resident who was knocking on the door.
After waiting for a long time, no one answered the door.
Weirdness is growing in the silence.
Lu Li looked around to make sure nothing strange appeared, then walked towards the door.
Dong dong dong——
Boom, boom, boom!
The door started to stir again, and Lu Li could clearly see the shaking and dust falling on the door.
The moment the knock on the door disappeared, Lu Li walked to the door. He put his hand on the doorknob and pulled it open——
Without any obstruction, the light from the oil lamp on the table poked out a small area, and a silhouette standing at the door appeared in the dim light.
The sculpture is back, or it may not have left at all. It raises one arm in the posture of knocking on the door.
Lu Li was silent for a few seconds, then turned sideways to make way for a passage.
The sculpture remains untouched.
Lu Li remembered that it would not move when being looked at. So he picked up the sculpture outside the door and carried it back to the gallery, then turned around and closed the door.
For a brief moment after closing the door, Lu Li observed that on the streets outside, something seemed to be growing in the gray fog.
Maybe those are the reasons for staying in the light after dark in Belfast?
Bang.
As the door closes, everything is blocked out, and silence takes over the surroundings again.
Lu Li walked away from the sculpture that had undergone new changes for a while, picked up the oil lamp, and walked deeper into the gallery.
He is now going to the second floor of the gallery to investigate something.
Most of the oil paintings hanging on the wall in the exhibition were portraits, and there was something strange about them all. When Lu Li walked by with an oil lamp in his hand, the portraits seemed to come to life, and his eyes followed Lu Li's movement, and when Lu Li's eyes fell, everything returned to the same as before.
The sculpture followed closely behind.
The constant sound of movement behind him made Lu Li feel less lonely.
After passing the empty sculpture base and the still unchanged oil painting of a girl, Lu Li came to the end and a staircase appeared in front of him.
The stairs extend upward for a while, but they do not lead straight to the second floor. There is a corner five or six meters away and continues upward.
It is worth noting that there is an oil painting of European medieval figures hanging on the wall directly in front.
Lu Li walked up the stairs and inevitably approached the medieval oil painting on the wall. It was larger than expected. The bust in the painting was wearing retro clothes, and the body proportions were the same as in reality. Looking at it up close, it looked weird.
Discomforting.
It was not among the supernatural phenomena pointed out in the envelope. Lu Li didn't pay much attention to the oil painting and turned around to go upstairs.
Behind the sudden darkness, a pair of eyes in the oil painting slowly turned towards Lu Li.
Ta-ta-
In the empty and lonely dark corridor, the sound of footsteps echoed slowly and disappeared into the darkness.
The floating dust moved under the light of the oil lamp, creating small whirlpools as Lu Li walked by.
Lu Li casually opened the door closest to the stairs. The office-like layout made Lu Li realize that this was Benjamin's room.
Ruling out the possibility that Benjamin has great trust in his employees, it also means that there is no money or valuables in the office.
Lu Li walked into the office, closed the door with his backhand, and thought about it before locking it.
Looking over the bookshelf, Lu Li came to the desk and picked up an employee brochure that was placed casually on the table.
It records the employees who work here, including past ones.
Athena Leslie
Claire Joyce
Vera Griffin
Dev Garcia
Smith Duncan
Champion George
James Campbell
Dewey Raphael
Powell Taylor
Edie Bell
joan joyce
Leona Murphy
The names of two female employees who became ghosts may be among them.
Squeak——
There was a slight sound of the door opening. Lu Li, who was flipping through the employee manual, noticed something and raised his head. A figure appeared outside the door.
Ruojiruoli followed the sculpture and chased after him.
Ignoring it for the moment, Lu Li turned the employee handbook to the last page, wrote down the dozens of names that appeared in the handbook, put the handbook back on the table, picked up another booklet and flipped through it.
It records the number of daily visitors to the gallery, which basically fluctuates between a few dozen and a hundred per day.
After browsing quietly for a moment, Lu Li suddenly remembered something and looked up.
The sculpture walked through the door.
Withdrawing his gaze, Lu Li sat down behind his desk, picked up the book, and started reading again.
A few seconds later, the booklet slid down, revealing a pair of deep black eyes.
In the corner where those eyes were looking, the sculpture was motionless, but it was closer than before.
After looking through a few more books on the desk to confirm that there could be no clues here, Lu Li returned to the door and easily opened the lock behind the door.
The office door slowly closed.
Click.
There was a small sound and the office door was locked from the inside.
Lu Li backed away, turned around and walked towards the corridor to reach out, preparing to go to other rooms.
Ta-ta-
The sound of footsteps echoed in the empty corridor.
Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta
An inaudible sound was mixed in among the footsteps.
Lu Li paused and turned towards the direction of the sound.
The office door not far away opened a crack. A stiff, expressionless face poked out from behind the door, looking faintly towards this side.
When-when-when-
The lingering sound of a bell from nowhere cut through the deep and quiet night and echoed in the air.
Lu Li in the corridor paused and looked out the window on the other side, his eyes narrowed.
The streets extend to the coastline, and at the end of the crescent-shaped bay, the lighthouse in the reef lights up a clearly visible beam of light, shining into the deep sea.
Suddenly, a substantial darkness spread from the depths of the sea to the harbor.
The bell rang five times in total and gradually died down. But the aftertaste it brought continued, just like the surrounding houses.
The light in the windows of the room became brighter, as if the residents had added new lighting, and there were faint sounds of panic and crying.
Sensing something was wrong, Lu Li temporarily stopped exploring and retreated all the way back to the office door.
Carrying the sculpture blocking the door into the room, Lu Li followed closely and locked the door behind him.
By lighting the candlesticks on the wall and the oil lamp on the table, the two new light sources make the office no longer dark and become bright, giving people a sense of security.
Sitting down behind his desk, Lu Li quietly waited for the indescribable, indescribable darkness that emerged from the deep sea to invade.
