151. Shadows and shadows

When it was getting light, Lu Li found the prints of the flippers on the dark beach.

They extend from the sea and are scattered randomly around the coastline and woods. The human footprints sandwiched among them are extremely eye-catching - they were left by Lu Li.

The closest spot of the flipper prints was only about thirty meters away from the windbreak. I wandered here, leaving a mess of footprints, as if I was looking for something.

The sand wall and deck chairs helped Lu Li hide from the wind. Or maybe the deep divers discovered it, but for some reason they didn't pass?

Friday's black robe covers not only her body, but also her mystery.

After confirming that the deep diver who left the fin prints had left the island, Lu Li retrieved the water filled jar from the water point and returned to the windproof place.

When he lowered his head to get into the windproof place, Lu Li paused and noticed something with his peripheral vision.

Standing upright, Lu Li stepped back outside the sand wall, distanced himself from the rock wall, and looked up at the rock wall.

On the rugged rock wall about five meters above the ground, a dark human-shaped shadow lay motionless on the rock wall.

Before nightfall yesterday, there was nothing on the stone wall.

The humanoid shadow is attached to the rock wall, like a black mural. Its head is facing downwards, and it grabs the rock with both hands, maintaining a downward climbing posture. The direction is exactly the wind break where Lu Li is resting.

"It's moving much slower than I thought." A voice came from the front.

Friday got out of the windproof place, stood next to Lu Li, and looked up at the shadow with him.

Lu Li's black eyes narrowed slightly, quietly observing the chilling and bizarre shadow.

Like Friday said, it's moving.

But this movement is extremely slow, almost as slow as the movement of the sun behind the clouds. Half a minute later, it only moved downward by one centimeter.

"Is this what's in the wooden house?" Lu Li asked as he looked at it.

"uh-huh."

Friday shook the oil lamp in his hand: "I'm going back. I'll come back in the evening."

She left the beach and disappeared behind the corner of the rock wall.

Lu Li withdrew his gaze and continued to stare at the dark shadow on the rock wall. If it continued downward, Lu Li would consider abandoning the windbreak.

But as Friday left, the situation changed. The black shadow on the cliff began to turn slowly, and this turn was as slow as its movement. After Lu Li put the jar next to the fire, the two fish that ate breakfast were the same as those that had cooled down last night.

After putting the water at the water point, the shadow only turned to the eight o'clock direction.

Friday lured it away.

Or rather it follows Friday.

As for what will happen as it approaches Friday, Lu Li can guess.

This is why Friday was spent going back and forth between the cabin and the wind shelter.

Breakfast was not enough to satisfy his hunger, and there were still three cans of cans left, but Lu Li had no intention of eating these foods that tasted worse than Anna's cooking skills.

Putting on his shoes, Lu Li walked along the coastline to a mooring on the east coast. The rising tide at night receded, leaving two small fish swimming in the moor. One of them was one that Lu Li had not caught yesterday.

The whole night passed, and the harvest of the water pool was only one fish. And there was no bait. This fish was left in the water pool by luck.

To turn the water pool into a source of food, Lu Li needed to get bait that could attract fish.

There is such a thing on this island.

A few minutes later, Lu Li stopped in the woods. Not far from him, a body covered in hair fell beside the water.

The monkey corpse decomposed naturally, and there were no insects to accelerate the decomposition.

Just in case, Lu Li briefly touched the psychic gun. There was no obvious malice around him, nor on the monkey's body.

Lu Li approached the body with a piece of stone in his hand, cut off a piece of skin with hair on it, and carried it back to the shore.

First, take out the two small fish and beat them to death, then chop the carrion into pieces and throw them into the water. Next, you will wait for the result after the tide recedes at dusk.

On the way back, Lu Li picked off a few conchs from the rocks and took them back to the windproof place. The human-shaped shadow in the rock wall had already turned around half of its body. It wouldn't be long before it would crawl back to the cabin.

After getting into a windproof place, Lu Li threw the small fish onto the rocks and roasted them. Then he broke open the conch and took out the sticky meat. He pinched off the tail and piled it on another stone.

laugh--

The water stains are dried and the roasted aroma comes out.

The grilled fish can be eaten after it is cooked. Lu Li waited for a long time until the conch was almost burnt before picking it up and eating it. After drinking a few sips of hot water that warmed his body and mind, Lu Li was ready to rest.

The recliner blocked the entrance to the cave. Before going to sleep, Lu Li placed the second psychic gun behind the recliner to prevent certain beings from getting in while he was sleeping. Then he curled up in the innermost part of the windproof place and fell into a deep sleep.

Tick tock—tick tock—tick tock—

The condensed water dropped into the wash basin, making an empty sound of splashing water.

The sound of water dripping became the only sound in the dark room.

A corpse was leaning against the wall, its dead eyes silently saying something.

Tick tock—tick tock—tick tock—

At a certain moment, the door was suddenly knocked open, and a figure rushed into the door, breaking the dead silence that had been maintained.

The figure was holding a roll of parchment in his hand. He looked at the corpse in the corner, looked around and whispered: "Why are there two breaths?"

He turned several times in the room that looked like a murder scene and said to himself: "A breath dissipates, a breath leaves... over there!"

The figure rushed out of the room again, and the door slowly closed behind him.

Tick tock—tick tock—tick tock—

The muffled sound of water dripping once again occupied the room, and an unnoticed body lay in the corner.

Following the trace of the breath, the figure came to an alley. Here, he felt a breath dissipating in the air and a breath that had been gone for a long time.

This discovery made the figure frown and whisper: "That ghost is killing other ghosts...?"

With some confusion, the figure followed the breath all the way and came to the third place where the breath briefly stopped, the attic of a vacant house.

Carefully climb up the ladder to the attic, pop your head up on the attic floor, and look around.

The walls of the attic in the darkness were covered with messy writings. The figure ignored them and held the parchment tightly to feel the breath.

"Same as last time, the aura of a ghost has dissipated, and that aura is disappearing..."

He was a step late again, but he felt that he was almost catching up with the breath.

The figure slid down the stairs and continued to follow the breath.

In front of a garbage dump where sewage flowed across the river and garbage piled up like mountains, the figure paused briefly and walked into it holding his nose.

He felt that the breath stayed in front of him and did not move away.

He quietly hid behind an oil drum, and the figure stuck out his head and peeked away.

Terror crawled up his back in an instant.

He saw an illusory ghost in a white dress standing in the open space, and a ghostly aura was dissipating beside her. The dark shadow under the ghost in the white dress was almost solid, permeating with a disturbing and dark atmosphere.

This ghost is about to turn into a wraith!

At this moment, a low murmur sounded around.

"Lu Li..."
