One hundred and fifty-two. The whistle that cuts through the night sky

In the dark, an indistinguishable voice echoed in his mind, calling Lu Li.

Lu Li woke up from his sleep when he heard the call, and a black crow jumped into his eyes.

It stood by the entrance of the cave, its claws hooked on the deck chair. Lu Li, who was sitting up, was reflected in its dark eyes. It opened its beak and let out a cry.

"dumb--"

The hoarse and sharp crows echoed in the small windproof place, and the harsh sound was enough to wake up anyone who was resting.

Perhaps it was this crow that called Lu Li.

Black crow...

Lu Li's eyes moved down and landed on the crow's paws. A mailbox was hung on its right leg.

Lu Li remembered the messenger he mentioned on Friday. Is it the crow in front of him?

Lu Li stretched out his hand to the crow, but it did not dodge. It lowered its head to straighten the messy feathers under its wings carelessly, and allowed Lu Li to open the mailbox on his leg and take out the rolled paper inside.

Lu Li unfolded the thin parchment paper, which was only about the size of his palm. Various lines were drawn on the yellowed paper - it was a map of the nearby sea area.

Lu Li saw several islands and reefs on the map, including Disk Reef and Wanghai Cliff, where the hurricane started.

Lu Li, who clearly understood the purpose of the map, reached out and pulled out a piece of slender charcoal from the fire, circled it on the Wanghai Cliff where he was, gently blew away the ashes, then rolled up the parchment map again and put it back in the mailbox.

After thinking about it, Lu Li picked up the can and planned to entertain the crow who had come from afar.

If it eats it.

"dumb--"

The dark eyes reflected Lu Li's movements. The black crow screamed at Lu Li, stretched its wings and flew out of the windproof place.

Lu Li put down the can, followed the black crow out of the windproof place, and watched as it flapped its wings and flew towards the woods on the other side of the cliff.

There is a rotting monkey carcass and a pool of water over there.

It seemed that it didn't need to be taken care of, as it had already visited the entire island before finding Lu Li.

I guess it won't take long for investigators to come to the rescue.

I just don't know if Friday knew about it.

Lu Li raised his eyes and looked at the top of the cliff. The dark shadow had disappeared. If it was still tracking Friday, it should have climbed to the top of the cliff by now.

The light spot behind the clouds changed from the east in the early morning to the west at this time, approaching sunset.

Lu Li first changed the can at the water point, walked around the path behind the cliff and climbed to the top of the cliff.

This time Lu Li didn't feel the disturbing aura from last time. When he walked around the front of the cabin, Lu Li saw a dark shadow.

It was lying on the wall next to the window, with its palms on the window, its head went in, and it continued to peek into the window.

This scene makes people shudder.

Bang!

There was a muffled sound, and the door suddenly opened. Lu Li took half a step back and reached for the psychic gun.

Friday appeared at the door. She ignored the dark shadow on the wall, stepped out of the wooden house, passed by it, and greeted Lu Li in her usual relaxed voice.

"good afternoon."

laugh--

As it is turned over, the sound of grilling meat on the stones and the aroma of fish are released.

Lu Li retracted the palm holding the branch, used a stone chip to scrape off the sea salt from the sunken stones not far from the fire, and sprinkled it on two palm-sized half-cooked grilled fish.

Night shrouded over the island, without a trace of light, and a trembling sea breeze blew.

It's just the opposite in the windproof place. The bright and warm sunken space makes people want to sleep comfortably.

Smoke and sound drifted along the deck chairs to the beach, and were blown away by the sea breeze.

Today was a bumper harvest. The carrion Lu Li sprinkled on the water attracted a large number of fish from the rising tide. At a rough glance, there were more than 20 fish. Lu Li only fished out the four largest palm-sized sea fish and dug out the internal organs at the edge of the water.

After washing, take it back to a windproof place.

He threw the internal organs into the pond and recycled them as bait next time.

These are enough for him and Friday's dinner, but if Friday is still not full after eating her two fish - then she will have to go to the pond to catch fish by herself.

After nearly half an hour of cooking, the sea fish was almost done. Just in case, Lu Li waited until the outside was almost burnt before skewering the grilled fish with branches and handed it to Friday.

Friday raised his hand to take it, his slender palms covered with bandages grasped both sides of the branch, and brought it into the shadow under the hood. When he took it out again, a small piece of the fish body was missing, revealing the steaming white flesh.

Her attitude towards food is like Lu Li's attitude towards her - he won't mention it, but will reciprocate your behavior.

Lu Li moved the other three similarly roasted sea fish outside the fire, skewered them with branches, grabbed both sides of the branches with both hands like Friday, took a bite, chewed slowly, and ground the fish bones.

Friday's eating movements were much faster than Lu Li's. She seemed to be ignoring the fish bones, taking one bite after another, until only the fish head remained.

Lu Li, who had only eaten half of his meal at that time, stopped eating, picked up another piece of grilled fish and handed it to her. Friday took it again and finished it as quickly as before.

Lu Li didn't hand over the third item, and Friday didn't ask for it either.

Ten minutes later, after finishing his meal, Lu Li threw the branch stained with oil and two fish heads into the fire, held the jar that had not yet cooled down, blew on it gently, and drank in small sips.

The only sounds left in the windproof place were the crackling of the fire and the sound of blowing air and drinking water.

Unloved cans are piled in the corner.

Not long after, Lu Li asked: "When will the investigators' rescue arrive?"

"Very soon."

"How soon is it soon?"

This word was too general, so Friday told Lu Li a time specific to the minute: "Two hours and twenty-five minutes later."

"I hope so."

"I'm going to sleep first. The ship will call me when it comes." After a while, Friday said, leaning against the stone wall, his breathing gradually became steady.

Lu Li quietly thought about the meaning of Friday's words for a few seconds, then poured a thin layer of sand and hot water from the bottom of the jar to the edge of the fire.

Lu Li didn't completely believe what he said on Friday, nor did he completely believe it. In any case, he subconsciously thought of the timer in his mind.

One hour passed, two hours passed...

At a certain moment two hours later, Friday, who was supposed to be sleeping soundly, suddenly raised his head and whispered: "We can leave."

When Lu Li heard this, his black eyes looked outside the lounge chair. The sand wall blocked most of the scenery outside, but at the edge of the sand wall, a conspicuous beam of light pierced the darkness.

The sharp reverberation of the whistle echoed over the island.

Their help has arrived.

Lu Li and Wu Wu moved their lounge chairs away and got out of the windproof place to look at the sea.

On the dark sea, a steamship stagnated dozens of meters off the coastline, and its searchlight fell far away on the beach.

"Want to complete your case and become an official investigator?" Friday said suddenly.

Seeing that he was saved, Lu Li's expression still showed no emotion, and he calmly asked: "What do you mean?"

"As long as we don't tell you that I helped you, they won't know." Friday backed up and hid in the wind shelter, avoiding the searchlights that moved to this beach.

Lu Li could only see a corner of her black robe, and her words continued: "Remember, you haven't met me, so don't worry about me. I will sneak on the ship."

Having said this, I paused for a while on Friday and added something.

"Also, welcome to join the investigators."
