Three hundred and thirty-eight. The end and the beginning

Dark swamp, banyan jungle.

A straight path stretches into the distance.

Lu Li held the oil lamp and walked along the path accompanied by Anna.

Going south from here, Lu Li would successfully reach the south beach of Shadow Swamp, then follow the coastline around the swamp and return to Shadow Town where everything ended.

In fact, the Mother of the Swamp had two suggestions. The other was to wait until it regained control over the banyan tree guards, and Lu Li could safely go back through the swamp.

Lu Li needed to change the wound gauze and also needed to rest. But he still rejected this more time-saving option.

Although there was already a basis for cooperation and he knew about Swamp Mother's past, Lu Li still didn't trust it.

He has no help now to help him deal with the Swamp Mother.

"Will it regret it..." Anna whispered, thinking the same thing as Lu Li.

"Hope not."

The Swamp Mother had no reason to kill Lu Li, but the evil god's characteristics were indescribable and incomprehensible.

Even if you have some humanity.

"Move the big boat in the stream?" Anna asked again.

"Yes."

The Swamp Mother will not sit idly by and ignore uncontrolled weirdness in her territory. If the ship wants to leave, the Swamp Mother is willing to send it out of the swamp.

Anna stopped talking and returned to silence and hurried on.

Occasionally, Anna's voice could be heard on the dark and damp path. Some of the questions had unclear meaning, as if she was intentionally talking to Lu Li.

It was as if he was trying to prevent the injured and tired Lu Li from losing consciousness.

Qiaoqiao also left through this trail, but Lu Li and Anna didn't encounter her along the way. They hoped that she had returned to Rose Town safely.

After walking with his tired body for nearly two hours, Lu Li could smell the faint flavor of the sea in the air.

As time went by, the banyan trees on both sides of the path were replaced by twisted and dry dead trees, and the oppressive blood-colored dark clouds in the sky finally dissipated, revealing gray and gloomy clouds.

It's not a sunny day. But in any case, the jungle road is not so dark.

Looking at the end of the path, the leaden gray broad sea surface looms, and the sound of waves is blown to my ears by the moist and salty sea breeze.

She completely walked out of the swamp jungle and stepped on the gray-brown beach. Only then did Anna feel relieved and feel the sense of relaxation that everything was truly over.

"I'll take you on the way back to Rose Town."

After leaving the swamp, Anna no longer had to suppress her breath.

Lu Li was in such a bad state that he couldn't walk dozens of miles back to Rose Town.

"Um."

The gray sea surface is gloomier than the sky, and the cool sea breeze and the sound of waves dispel the depression contained therein.

"There's a boat there."

Anna pointed to a reef area to the east, where a severely damaged sailboat ran aground on the rocks near the beach.

The broken mast and the breach in the belly of the ship brought a sense of familiarity.

Not long ago, Lu Li had seen this wrecked sailboat in the death scene.

"Is there something wrong with it?"

Lu Li didn't show any expression, but Anna noticed something from his prolonged gaze.

"I've seen this scene in the death scene." Lu Li shook his head slightly and told Anna the death scene.

Anna was touched by the story, but the photo frame was almost impossible to find: "It has fallen into the sea, and we can't find a photo frame on the sea."

As soon as she finished speaking, Anna saw a sharp corner of the beach in front of her. Some intuition made Anna wave her hand gently, and the outline hidden under the gravel was revealed. It was... a photo frame.

"Is this it..." Anna looked in disbelief.

This scene coincidentally seemed like something brought it to Lu Li on its own initiative.

Lu Li reached out to take it, but Anna dodged it.

"Be careful, it's a trap. I'll catch it," she said.

The glass of the photo frame has long been broken, and the photos inside have disappeared without a trace. They were torn apart and melted by the sea a long time ago.

The only thing left that could be identified was this photo frame, and now it didn't matter whether it was the photo frame Lu Li had seen before.

"Can you throw it back on the ship?" Lu Li said.

"Um."

Anna looked at the broken ship on the rocks a few hundred meters away, her breath clinging to the photo frame and gently throwing it out.

The photo frame turned into an afterimage, leaving a twisted mark in the space, and disappeared into the distance of the ship in the blink of an eye.

After the interlude, Lu Li and Anna will continue on their way.

A strange color flashed in the depths of Anna's indifferent scarlet eyes, and she walked to Lu Li and prepared to hug him.

But at this moment, Lu Li's gaze turned to the sea: "There is a ship on the sea."

His eyes reflected an outline on the leaden sea.

The strange color disappeared, and her mood returned to indifference. Anna coldly swept the steamer on the sea: "I'll let them get closer."

"No need, it probably came here." Lu Li said while looking at the sea.

The steamer with thick smoke was heading towards the coast.

On the beach that was not affected by the tide, Anna helped Lu Li sit down.

"Is the wound open?" She asked Lu Li, who was frowning slightly. After receiving a shake of his head, he lowered his eyes and looked at Lu Li's wrist: "It's still ringing..."

While walking through the Dark Path, Anna thought the rattling counter came from Shadow Swamp.

Now it seems...it doesn't seem to be because of the swamp.

Anna quietly stepped back.

"Stay further away."

Lu Li's voice suddenly sounded in her ears. Anna paused briefly and silently retreated six or seven meters away.

"It's not you."

Lu Li shook his head slightly at this moment. The sanity counter did not stop because Anna was away.

He suddenly remembered something and reached out to touch the holster containing Sequence 1.

The moment his palm touched the ground, the counter buzzed intensively.

"Is it a psychic gun? How could it..."

Anna was surprised, watching Lu Lili remove the holster and throw the holster wrapped in Sequence 1 far away.

The holster crossed an arc and hit the gravel more than ten meters away.

The counter stopped ringing, and Lu Li replied: "The rose on the gun body has fully bloomed. It's not surprising that the holster cannot block it."

"Because of your experience in the old mother body?"

Lu Li didn't say what happened to him, but Anna could imagine that he must have experienced a difficult and dangerous battle.

"Um."

The blowing sea breeze seemed to take away the fatigue. His black hair was trembling. Lu Li squinted his eyes and looked at the ships on the sea. He could vaguely see the figures on the bow deck waving flags in this direction.

They had discovered Lu Li on the beach.

【Lu Li...】

In the dark, a consciousness whispered deep in his heart, calling Lu Li's name.

"how."

Lu Li responded to the call of the Swamp Mother.

Anna looked sideways, but in the next few minutes, the murmurs stopped.

"Is it the Mother of Swamps?" Anna noticed Lu Li turning back to look at Shadow Swamp.

Lu Li, who was feeling uneasy in his heart, slowly whispered: "Maybe not..."

That's the whisper of "the door."

"The Door" got a response.

The ship symbolizing hope on the sea is approaching.

And the boundless dark shadow was shrouding Lu Li.
