One hundred and ninety-nine. She chose to stay

Not long after passing Himfast, the mist coming over from the other side of Sugard Mountain enveloped the carriage.

If the carriage stops next to the mist, you may be able to see the mist like a living thing, slowly squirming forward and swallowing it up bit by bit.

It won't take long, at most a few days, for the strange fog to arrive in Himfast.

The oil lamp hanging outside the carriage was suppressed by the mist and was as dim as if it was about to go out. However, Ampere did not need light to illuminate the road for it, and Anna also released her more obscure aura to hide Lu Li and declare her identity.

There was no foggy presence to disturb this strange pair.

At midnight, the carriage climbed up Sugard Mountain and drove through the dark Watch Town. Occasionally, Lu Li would find a few dim light spots flickering like the oil lamps outside the carriage. They were people who were still in the town and unwilling to leave.

Or a terrible trap to lure passers-by closer.

After leaving Shouwang Town and advancing for a while, the compacted dirt road was replaced by a wide stone road.

They returned to Belfast - in ruins.

Anna proposed to wait until dawn before passing through the ruins of the city, and first go to Eileen's manor to spend the night and retrieve the books.

At this time, Belfast is more dangerous than the wild. Evil spirits, evil spirits, minions of evil gods, and pagans are all wandering in the ruins.

To enter from the main entrance of the manor, you have to pass by the Agate Lake. It is obviously not a good idea to pass the lake after a strange being has occupied it, so Anna directly grabbed the amp and the carriage, climbed over the guardrail of the manor and entered the back garden directly.

They inevitably passed by an uneven mound of soil that had been uncovered. Adangfuya didn't know what the mound of soil that Anna stared at in a daze meant, and Anna seemed to see entangled in the cracks.

Two dead trees drilled separately.

Maybe this ending is better... at least two people who love each other will not experience the pain of turning against each other.

After walking half a circle around the mansion, Ampere stopped at the foot of the steps next to the fountain.

Lu Li picked up the oil lamp and walked up the steps with Anna and Adangfuya. At the edge of the dim light, the half-open door emerged.

The survivors should have closed it...

Lu Li realized something and walked directly to the room where Eileen kept the books - the door there was also ajar, with darkness and silence revealed behind the gap.

Holding another oil lamp, Anna pushed open the door and walked into the library. Sleeping bags, clothes and cans were scattered everywhere next to the stove in the corner, making it a mess.

In an empty space, blood-like paint painted a strange pattern like a vortex, which seemed to be some kind of symbol.

What happened to the survivors hiding here is obvious: the pagans came to the manor, found them, and took them away.

Anna looked at Lu Li, waiting for his next decision.

Lu Li shook his head gently. The paint had dried, which meant that it had been more than a day since they were taken away: "There are no clues, let's go upstairs and rest."

There are many clean rooms on the second floor.

Anna loaded the books she picked out a few days ago into the carriage. There was still a lot of room in the carriage, so she selected some more books and the remaining cans from the survivors and put them into the carriage.

Adangfuya chose to stay in the corridor on the second floor. She sat on a chair and looked outside. But she could see nothing but thick darkness and fog.

The direction she was looking was the direction of her and Tesla's house.

In the other bedroom? Anna covered Lu Li with a quilt and walked to the fireplace to light a fire.

"One of Rhodes and Adangfuya is lying." Lu Li said in the bedroom that gradually became warmer and brighter.

"What's wrong?" Anna looked over.

"Rhode once said that Tesla met Adangfuya when he was an embalmer? Adangfuya said that they met during an investigation."

"Is Tesla's nephew lying?" Anna's hostility towards Rhodes made her preconception.

"I don't know," Lu Li said. "Unless we get in touch with Tesla, we can't confirm."

What might Tesla's former butler know? But he died while escorting Adangfuya.

"I'll keep an eye on her," Anna said.

The quilt covering him was no longer cold. Lu Li felt tired in the warmth and gradually fell asleep.

"Good night." Anna said softly.

Early in the morning? Lu Li was awakened by the sound of Anna and Adang Fuya talking from the corridor.

There was a misty glow outside the window, the strange fog had not yet dissipated, and dark red charcoal was glowing in the fireplace.

Lu Li sat up and the blanket slipped from his body. At this moment, the door was pushed open? Anna, who heard the noise, walked into the guest room.

"Did you sleep well?" she asked gently.

"It seems like a dream." Lu Li put on his coat? He couldn't remember the content of the dream clearly.

"I'm going to prepare breakfast." Anna said. There was a lot of food, including vegetables, stored in the cellar of the manor, but it had been too long, and coupled with the squandering of the survivors, only spices, jicama and cabbage that could be stored for a long time were left.

Anna loaded them all into the carriage, leaving some behind to take to the bedroom to prepare food by the fireplace.

Lu Li looked at her familiar cooking movements: "Learned it from Sarah?"

"Huh? They have bodies. Although they are not hungry, they still need food...so Sarah has been making food for almost two hundred years."

Even without systematic study? Two hundred years of continuous cooking is enough to put Sarah's cooking skills at the top of the world.

It's not too difficult for Anna, who has all of Sara's memories, to learn something.

Anna cooked the food well in Adangfuya's praise. By the time Lu Li finished eating, the strange fog was about to recede, and the rippling edge of the agate lake could be vaguely seen.

After loading a whole carriage of books and food and leaving the manor through the gate, Lu Li stopped the carriage at Adangfuya's request and asked her to return home to reminisce about the past.

A few minutes later, Adangfuya came back, clutching a photo frame.

The faded photo inside is of her with a Tesla.

The carriage continued to drive, leaving the manor houses around Agate Lake and officially entering the ruins of Belfast.

Anna asked Lu Li to hide in the carriage, then got out of the carriage, completely releasing her breath to drive away the prying eyes in the dark corners.

Elm forest.

This is becoming a forbidden area that some weirdos don't want to go near, just like the Shipwreck Area and the Ember Zone - weirdos often disappear near the elm forest, and soon after, their bones will appear at the edge of the forest, silently telling their fate.

Early that morning, a ferocious monster with a thick carapace like a centipede crawled through the burned-out elm block and stepped into the elm forest.

The negative emotions of the forest lingered, making Adangfuya feel a little uncomfortable, but to Lu Li and Anna, it was like welcoming them back.

The closer they get to the top of the cliff, the more their emotions tend to be neutral...and positive.

When the corner of the wooden house loomed in front of the rutted road, the surrounding elm trees had become excited and intimate, gently surrounding them like invisible tentacles.
