In the early morning, the falling drizzle dispersed the mist.
On the wet bluestone road, two embarrassed figures ran quickly and dived into the dark alley on the side of the road.
Not long after they hid, the local gang "Wolf Gang" chased them to the street.
"They're coming after me... Damn it."
A head retracted into the alley, and a curse rang out among the chaotic breathing in the alley.
This is a dead end and they have nowhere to escape.
The cursing voice continued: "Barry...my brother, I'm dying...you run away alone."
"Boss, don't give up, we will escape..." Another anxious voice sounded.
"I...I can't run anymore. It's really ridiculous. I thought that my hands would become rusty after not working for a few years. Who knew that with this body that has gained dozens of pounds, a group of minions can chase me like a lost dog."
"
"Boss, you hide here, I'll lure them away." The anxious voice continued.
"But...Barry, you will be caught by them."
"As long as the boss can escape..."
"Come back alive... each of us will get half of what we get." The voice choked with emotion.
"Leave it to me."
The conversation ended, and a silhouette rushed out of the alley and fled into the distance.
"There he is!"
As expected, the gangsters of the Wolf Gang were attracted by the figure, yelled and yelled, and ran past the dark alley.
A few seconds after they left, the sound of rapid breathing resumed in the quiet alley.
A stout middle-aged man slowly emerged from the edge of the alley. His face was cunning and happy, but he was not worried about the safety of his companions.
He was about to walk out of the alley. At this moment, a figure suddenly blocked the alley, and the middle-aged man almost sat down in the dirty wet mud.
He raised his head in horror and saw a familiar figure.
"B-Barry!"
He was so frightened that he couldn't understand. Then he remembered more important things and asked quickly: "Did you lure them away?"
"You're going to abandon me, right?" Barry's cheeky face was very slow and dull, watching him silently.
"Abandon? No, no, if you lure them away, of course I will take the opportunity to leave here. I'm glad you can come back." The boss explained with a dry smile, and reached out to pat Barry on the shoulder, trying to push him away with some force.
But Barry didn't move at all and continued to repeat those words: "You want to abandon me, right?"
"Hey Barry, you may have misunderstood something, and you were the one who said you were the one who lured away the Wolf Gang. I just went back and waited for you." The boss suddenly felt uneasy and carefully touched the dagger behind him.
"You're going to abandon me, right?"
Barry just stiffened and repeated the same sentence mechanically.
A hint of cruelty flashed deep in the middle-aged man's eyes, and he was about to pull out the dagger.
snap
He suddenly heard the sound of falling into the wet mud behind him, and his fingers came up empty.
Damn it!
The middle-aged man cursed his clumsiness in his heart, concealed his emotions and put on a smile. He reached out and wanted to explain something to Barry again. Suddenly, he looked in horror at the candles that seemed to be touching the flame, and his fingers that melted and fell off.
Then the arms and other parts...
"You're going to abandon me, right?"
Barry's numb words sounded again.
"You're not Barry..."
The middle-aged man finally realized something, and for a moment he fell into a fear more terrifying than death. He stared at the unfamiliar acquaintance in front of him with wide eyes.
"Who is Barry!? Me"
The thick lips that opened and closed slipped from his face and fell into a pile of body parts that were as fine as being dismembered.
The sound of chaotic footsteps suddenly approached the alley from outside the alley, and the gangsters of the Wolf Gang appeared at the entrance.
vomit
They found the puddle of minced meat. They looked ugly and several of them vomited it out. The smell of blood mixed with it was even more disgusting.
"Someone got it before us!"
The little boss gritted his teeth, partly because of anger and partly because he couldn't bear to vomit.
Just as they were about to order their men to search for the lost things in the rotten flesh, they suddenly noticed the silhouettes of a group of people clad in rune robes emerging from the distance.
"Inquisition Guards? Damn it! It's weird! Run!"
Neither the Tribunal nor the Weird ones were entities they dared to offend.
The wolf gang members who ferociously made people hide in their homes and dare not go out on the streets were like flies, buzzing and scurrying away.
"Aren't we going to do something?"
A young man in the trial guard team said quickly.
"Just a bunch of dirty rats."
The short-haired woman walking in the front row spoke indifferently.
Facing the sight of the people behind the windows, they arrived at the entrance of the alley where the rats had gathered.
"Another puddle, it's really heavy." The young man muttered in an off-line manner, feeling nothing in front of the disgusting minced meat. "The siren disappeared, that weird one ran away?"
The team members were all quiet, but he kept talking.
"Stop talking nonsense and get to work."
…
"You can't do this..."
The mayor's assistant opened his eyes in disbelief and subconsciously tried to dissuade him: "Your Excellency the mayor and many people in Wiener Freeze Port will not allow you to take risks. Please wait a moment, I will call Mayor Mateusz Knox."
.”
Unable to deal with this problem, he could only run to call the mayor.
"We can't let you risk it!"
The mayor who arrived tried to dissuade Lu Li just as the assistant said.
"Have you ever heard of the legendary exorcist Kenny Swann?"
Before Lu Li said anything, he took the initiative to talk: "This well-known legendary exorcist sadly died of a cold. Neither evil spirits nor evil gods killed him, but the cold did..."
"Although I can understand your thinking, we must admit that we are extremely fragile..."
Mayor Mateusz Knox also failed to stop Lu Li.
The only person who could persuade Lu Li was no longer around.
The mayor sighed and retreated, perhaps thinking of other solutions.
Lu Li read the strange illustrations by the fireplace for a while, then came to the window to overlook the increasingly lively city.
Hua Hua
The drizzle seemed to be getting heavier, and pedestrians on the street quickened their pace.
There was a flash of light, then thunder, and the window in front of him was shattered.
Suddenly, his neck felt as if he had been bitten by a mosquito. Lu Li reflexively raised his hand to hold it down, only to feel warm and slippery liquid.
Everything around him quickly rose up, and the carpet suddenly appeared in front of him. Not far away, Catalina rushed towards her in fear, and the much taller Puseus barked at this direction like a blur.
All light, shadow and sound around him quickly faded away.
…
"Lu Li, it's because I failed to protect you. I could have pushed you away."
Cries echoed in the ward.
The eldest sister stood awkwardly on the bed. His crying reminded it of the fact that it had been screaming and shouting to establish its authority, which also caused a wave of imitation by its subordinates. But now, it suddenly realized how stupid and shameful it was to do so.
"Stop crying, he's fine."
Catalina had a headache from the crying, but it might also be because of her hangover.
She complained to Lu Li on the hospital bed: "I really don't know why you brought this guy with you."
"Don't say that to Miss Catalina, our luggage is all carried by Barry." Pusius put in a good word for Barry.
