8. Seeing and hearing along the way

After the unsettling sound of leather hitting the floor, the office returned to the eerie silence of a pot boiling.

Until Professor Chris's voice sounded again.

"The chair by the fireplace has a robe."

She recognized the strange black cat that had broken into her office.

Lu Li's thoughts broke away from the weird imagination of "suspected skin was shed" and he saw the gray robe draped on the armrest of the seat near the fireplace.

Lu Li jumped off the seat, stepped on the soft blanket and jumped onto the chair in front of the fireplace. He used his tail to put down the sesame oil bottle, and stretched out his palm to see only black claws and pink flesh pads.

Lu Li instead used his tail to unscrew the bottle cap, wrapped the sesame oil bottle around and poured it into his mouth.

The feeling of swallowing oil directly is very bad, as if the body is soaked in a pool of oil. Fortunately, the dose is not large and the change is fast enough.

The tail wrapped around the sesame oil bottle disappeared. Before falling onto the blanket, he held the sesame oil bottle in one hand and drank the last drop.

While picking up the gray robe, Lu Li briefly observed himself and found that there was no hair or organs left that did not belong to him.

squeak

The door was pushed open at this moment, and a figure broke into the room lit by the fireplace.

"Have I disturbed you?" the person at the door asked in surprise.

"..."

Just a coincidence?

Lu Li calmly put on his gray robe.

"You're here just in time, do you want to join?" Professor Chris' voice became lazy. She put on a silky-smooth milky white nightgown and came to the fireplace, sitting on Lu Li's body.

Her legs were as white as mutton fat under her skirt, but all her beauty was ruined by the horrifyingly exaggerated size of her body.

"An ordinary person? He will be crushed." The person at the door said, realizing that nothing happened or that it was over, he closed the door.

It is difficult to describe her as a girl or a woman. Under that beautiful face like a girl is a body that is almost two meters tall, with a forehead that is almost close to the height of Professor Chris's collarbone, like the most perfect sculpture of a master sculptor.

"I seem to know you." She stared at Lu Li.

"I'm Lu Limiao."

Lu Li paused, confused.

"You just used the potion, right?"

Her eyes suddenly brightened. It was not an illusion or a reflection of the fireplace, because it was just a moment when a body full of power appeared in front of Lu Li, and the flames swayed in the strong wind.

"I know who you are!"

"Claire! Don't use weird powers in my room." Professor Chris scolded softly.

"I apologize teacher."

"What's going on with the oral addiction?" Lu Li couldn't suppress the end of his words, as if he couldn't speak while inhaling.

"Paddle meat is added to the prepared medicine to increase the speed of adapting to deformation. The negative effect is that it will make a cat meow. Don't worry, you will recover as the effect of the medicine completely disappears after three days." Claire replied.

"Nice addition, bring me the purple tea." Waiting for the student to come back with a box of purple powder, Professor Chris took out the viscous liquid from the hanging pot and sprinkled 1 ounce of purple tea into the wooden bowl.

"Drink it, and you will temporarily lose the cute meow, but it can only last for two-thirds of the time. Tell me about the curse quickly, my dear."

"Can I listen, teacher?" Claire asked.

Professor Chris's narrow eyes fell on Lu Li who had finished drinking the viscous potion that was not hot or even warm.

"I don't mind."

The thick potion tastes like porridge, and the weird ending no longer appears.

Claire squatted next to Professor Chris, like a pair of sisters. Before saying "door", Lu Li briefly introduced its rules.

"Lost memory?"

Professor Chris leaned forward with his face exposed, picked up the notes on the low table, and turned page by page to the middle. There was a quill drawn there. It floated out amid Professor Chris' dreamy call.

, floating on the blank page.

"It's okay to say it."

Lu Li nodded and talked about the beginning of encountering the "Gate" and the three-stage curse of the "Gate".

But he was quickly interrupted by Professor Chris: "Dear?"

"What."

"You can start talking now."

Just like everyone else, Professor Chris and her students do not have this memory.

"Maybe he's finished." Claire realized something.

"Really?" Professor Chris asked Lu Li.

After receiving confirmation, she lowered her eyes to the book. The quill floated naturally and the pages were blank.

"There is no record either."

snap

The quill disappeared into the closed books, and Chris placed it back on the low table: "Can you tell me how you got this curse? Don't describe it directly."

Fortunately, the simple description of the process of contacting the "door" has not been distorted.

"I think the key to the matter is in the notebook... All your knowledge and understanding of the curse comes from the notebook, and the curse will erase the memory... Can we understand that the curse chose you?" Professor Chris thought.

road.

"Is that notebook still there?"

"In..." Lu Li frowned because he couldn't remember where the notes were. Not even Wanghaiya.

"Not here."

"So a good conclusion, and a bad conclusion. The good conclusion is that maybe the note does not exist, and your brain is sick, giving you some kind of misperception... As you said, it has never affected reality and has not been eliminated.

Is it right for people other than you to see, hear, and perceive? Our lack of memory is also because of your wrong understanding: in your cognition, you told the story, but the reality is that you sat there and did nothing."

"What a bad conclusion."

Lu Li, who knew the answer, still asked.

"The trouble we can't solve... you should ask the God of the Deep for help when you are with him."

That was an oversight. After escaping underground, the "door" no longer appeared. It took so long that Lu Li no longer cared about it, thinking that everything was over.

"Are the derivatives of the curse nearby?" Professor Chris crossed her legs and lazily leaned into the chair that was just right for her.

"The Allen Peninsula is not close to the deserted land. It will take some time for it to get close to me." Lu Li replied.

"Then I will prepare for the bad conclusion and come to me when it appears. This is for you." Professor Chris took out a badge from the groove in her chest and threw it to Lu Li: "With it, you don't have to do it again."

Wearing clothes and sneaking here."

Catching the warm badge, Lu Li could only hold it until it was the same as body temperature because there was no pocket.

"You seem to still have questions?" Professor Chris's keen sense allowed her to capture something.

Lu Li nodded: "My whereabouts have been exposed."

As one of the few people who has been in contact with Giant Tree Academy, Professor Chris is obviously worthy of trust.

However, she didn't care about Lu Li's worries and said with a chuckle: "Honey, relax, more people here are paying attention to you than you think."

"For example, many eyes saw you disguised as a cat and walked into my mother's office, stayed with the mother and daughter known as the witch for a long time, and then left wearing the robe that belonged to the mother."

Claire said in time.
